RevHeadz Engine Sounds

Potentially great but keeps disconnecting! I really like the app and what it does, and the engines sound great. The lag on Bluetooth sound is disappointing, not sure why it can't easily be fixed?? My biggest problem is that the app keeps disconnecting from my ODB II device??!! I even bought a new one but it disconnects from that also. The OBD is still connected via WiFi and stays connected to my phone the whole time, but the app drops connection every few minutes and has to be reconnected.

Every update makes it worse. You break the bluetooth engine link more and more each time. Let us set max rpm and just interpolate between 0 and max. Or if you're going to insist on idle rpm, which messes up ratios. Let it be defined and not automatic. Because if you travel at 1 engine speed for too long, it sets that speed to idle rpm. Compressing the engines range ridiculously. Also, turn off that stupid "vehicle in motion" block. It can be circumvented, and takes 4 times as long to fix with it

The build and look is decent along with the sounds in general. A few downsides are paying for more sounds, smoothness, and the way the throttle is simulated. With the sounds and controls, it feels a bit unrealistic with how the throttle is simulated, like the car has no load and is just on a dyno. There is a certain amount of torque, power, and speed at a certain RPM and gear, but it just feels like acceleration forever. When accelerating or revving, the sound jumps to match the tachometer.

I was hoping that it could use the phones accelerometer and GPS to simulate the sound but that is not the case, unless I am missing something. It can use an OBD2 adapter but Teslas do not have an OBD2 port. Still it's pretty impressive and sounded great with manual controls and the programming seems rock solid. Very impressed.

I have noticed a few things that are wrong about this game, 1. A Ferrari 458 doesn't have 6 gears, it has 7. And 2. The game doesn't let the rev meter go all the way to the red zone, it makes the needle stop at about 8000 revs on some of the vehicles, but apart from that the game is alright but you do have to pay for the majority of the cars I see this app as a quick download and then delete. But it is fun despite these small easily fixable problems

App sounds great with alot to choose from, but there needs to be a quicker way to connect to the obd2, would be amazing if it auto paired like other apps, so you could just select the sound you want with one click, instead of having to set up every time you start the car which is time consuming

Fun little app, connected to OBD no worries and played the sounds. Only issues I could see was a slight delay between your actions and the sound effects, kind of ruin the whole experience. This was tested however on an older car with wire controlled throttle. So I would assume an electronic throttle being more synced with the sounds. All in all a fun little app and worth a go, especially for the free content. Even the other packs are cheap.

Great app just not 5 stars because there is no clutch option. It would be very cool if there was a manual with clutch option and also rev limits are not so realistic. I mean it takes a short period of time to hit the rev limit. Same on the bikes version. You could also add a turbo bar and things like these so it would be a lot more realistic. And the last thing i suggest is adding realistic exhaust pops when rev limiting. It would be 5 stars if you do these changes.

Wish there was an easier way to get into contact, about my issue. My obd 2 Bluetooth connects fine to the app, and measures throttle, rpm, speed etc, but when I try and actually use one of the sounds while driving, the app doesn't work and instead just remains at idle while I'm driving. It is working with just RPM on the app, but when I try RPM+ THROTTLE+SPEED, the sounds no longer work. Thanks for any help!

The best way to appreciate this app is to pick up an obd2 bluetooth sensor. I found mine on Amazon for 8 bucks and I downloaded all the car packs. Let me tell you, it sounds sick! There is a handful of cars that really stand out and don't sound too video gameish. I have a Ford taurus automatic with paddle shifters and either option is fine. I crank the speakers and get a few stares from cars next to me when I take off at a light and I don't need to buy that exhaust for my car. This is perfect.

really,REALLY HAPPY with the app , 0.99 dolars for a 3 freaking cars is WORTH IT add more features please if you can: traction control, this makes burnouts at high RPMs/drifting car sounds possible, and add a setting to add pedals instead of sliders (and add clutches for manual.)

Update Edit: Just got a OBD2 Bluetooth adapter, works good at higher speeds where revs are slower at increasing (not breaking any speed limits however) at lower revs its more jumpy, like playing an old racing game that's lagging a lot, what would make it cool though would be adding rally based engines, like a Lancia Fulvia V4, Audi Quattro 5 cylinder, WRC Ford Fiesta or VW Polo engine and so on, otherwise it's not too bad, maybe the next update could include such sounds? Otherwise, keep it up!

Love the app! I had some trouble with connecting to my OBD-II but I got it eventually. I don't mind paying for the sounds as I'm sure it isn't cheap to "buy" the sounds from the car manufacturers if that's even a thing. Kinda like with the name and trademark or whatever. Great app though! Please add more sounds in the future, like for example a few JDM cars, maybe some more exotic cars, stuff like that. Would definitely love to have some GT-Rs, supras, and more Ferraris in the mix.

love the game, but there is one small oversight. EVERY engine in the game has some kind of protection protocol for the engines from overrevving. when you downshift when in the rpm limit, only one car (actually a bike) doesn't treat this way. the 1000cc bike from the starter pack. when you downshift (from at least 2. gear) when you are in the rpm limit, engine's sound is lost. literally the engine sound is gone. but there still is shifting and burnout sounds. you can try it and see what i mean.

This app is very fun to use. I love cars and engines. I really love this app. I wish more updates and improvements to come this 2022. Here's my wishes. 1. More cars and engine sounds. 2. I wish there is manual mode that you can use a clutch to simulate the engine. That would be a perfect combination. 3. I wish there is a horn for every cars. Very Awesome game! Please keep updating and add more engine sounds like from McLarens and Nissan 3.5LTT from the GTR and SR20DE and the SR20DET and other exotic and non-exotic cars. And also when I release throttle the car slows down so quickly I'm not even touching the brakes in real life a car won't slowdown that quickly but overall a great game!

It's a pretty good app. It's just not perfect -obviously-, but more importantly, it doesn't have a lot of free engine sounds; the vast majority are paid. You can test drive one premium sound at a time, after watching 30sec ads every time. :)

This game is awesome. How much work was put into the sounds. It not just some garbage one with real clips. They made there own sounds. I really love the Impreza WRX sound

Pretty good. The fact that it uses FMOD is a good sign. Low RPM shifts are weird and could use a sense of torque. The startup on some of the cars sounds short, as is the starter only turns the crank once. RPMs sound weird when hitting redline, throttle could be cut off instead of redline sound. Chainsaw could use a pull start sound. Sound quality is great though.

Really awesome but I wish there were more free cars. I understand completely that you need money, but $0.99 for 3 car sounds is a bit on the expensive side. Awesome sounds and variety of cars though. There's even a freaking chainsaw!! Super rad app!

It's a great app it's lots of fun and very diverse choice of cars but I do have a request pls add more tuner cars like civics s2000s skylines etc since you added the muscle cars why not balance it out anyways great app would recommend Edit: I still enjoy the app even after months of playing it a few suggestions though. I would like to see some modern muscle cars or tuner cars another suggestion is more euro cars like m3s (any gen is fine) lambos and ferraris and one last please do diesel ty

This is truly sensational. Very well setup and presented. I have only tested on my LG smartphone with single speaker with does not do it much justice., but i hope when i link to my big arse stereo via Bluetooth, i should hear a quality experience. I'm hoping the audio quality used is at a reasonable high level. I would hate to hear low quality mp3 to demonstrate these car sounds. I Hope Not To Be Disappointed...

I absolutely love the game. Especially when you Bluetooth it to a loud sound system and play the 370Z's 3.7 V6, it's lovely and the vibration from the cars and the sounds is so realistic. I can't believe it. You should bring out a update with more cars, please?!

I don't know why but just ruving an engine with no car screen is all i need to pass some time, the app is very cool and can even connect to your car and make your car sound like a muscle or sports car! Very good game 👍

the sounds are good, but i can't use the OBD II function on my car. i already turn my bluetooth on, and already connect it to my car radio. but in the app, it say it's connecting and never connected. plz help me

This is great app! When connected to my car then app makes it sound more aggressive which I love!!! I would love to have an electric car sound pack, and if an updated sound pack ever comes out I would buy immediately!!!

This app is both the coolest and my apsolutle favorite. I love its functionality, compatability, reliability and the overall experience. My old review was one star because it kept glitching out. Now, on this new device, it works flawlessly. Really great app! Five Golden Stars! YEAAAAAaaaaaaa!

Amazing but still need some work i have to keep .y phone on all the time its Runing and 1 touch would screw it up and ill have to pull over just to get it working again, and when you shift it doesn't read the gears and gives you the shifting sounds which makes it more like a Regera with 1gear only the sounds its making is considerably nice but i believe it can be improved and please for the love of god add the goddam V10 engine that was used in the viper srt 2004-2006

This app is so amazing and the software is just amazing how the sound is different according to the the acceleration we give. I just have one request plss add more cars and especially supercars.
