Revolut - Foreign Exchange

Great design and usabilty. I'd like to be able to swap presentation screens (as opposed to tap left or right), but I'd especially like to be able to remove tabs I don't use (crypto and stocks, notably), the same way I can remove sections from my feed. Also, it would be nice if the passcode keyboard didn't show up after using biometrics.

Unusable. Continues to fail to improve with each update. It's not improving, though rated 4+ stars, it's hard to find many reviews over 1-2 stars. How can this be? I've not used this for two years. It's not improved. UI so hard to navigate. Each time I use it, it's like a new app. Nothing makes sense. It's hard to do simple tasks, overwhelmed with offers and pointless features, upgrades. Dreadful app. No advantage when using ATM. But I guess that is life.

The app works exceptionally well and everything important can be accessed from within the app. Card delivery also works as it should. Feature wise it's easy to use and everyone should be able to get settled with it with just a bit of time. However, localization for some languages such as German isn't perfect but I don't think a lot of people from Germany do use Revolut. However, I do and feel absolutely satisfied with my experience so far. 5 out of 5!

The app is horrible. I've been trying to close my account since the day i opened it. I get to the second page of "don't go" messages then the links stop working. Well, apart from the one that says "keep my account open". That one works. But i don't want to keep the damn thing open, i want to close it! Zero stars. In fact, minus 10 stars. I hate it.

App is constantly draining battery when running on background. UI used to be good, but now it's super messy. Trading is not working properly, sometimes you can't even cancel an order or and your account is frozen for hours. Support is often unavailable even with premium account and when you tell them about trading issues, they just decline responsibility, you are basically on your own. Money transfer and payments work properly, but the rest is outsource and not working properly.

Amazing app and card that lets you access money like a local all over the world. My only issue is that setting up different currency accounts and transferring money between them is not very intuitive. I would think it would be incredibly easy considering it's the main point of the app! It's not super difficult, but it does take a few "let's see what this button does" clicks around the app, and there's a few times where I thought "I hope I'm doing this right."

I was happy to use it for years, since very beginning. Many +++ like instant transfers, single use virtual cards for online payments, etc, etc... Of course, there were some disapointing functionality released like Stock trade, but OK, there better products on market. However in last few months experience degraded. Often my transactions are put to pending status with some being rejected weeks later, and some being allowed. This totally misses my expectations and cancels advantage of Instant transfers... As well as I'm often getting errors when trying to transfer funds, like: Something gone wrong... And you try and try again until you succeed... Service I can't rely anymore and recommend to anyone.

Probably a good app but I had issues downloading it .It did download successfully in the end but left me with trust issues so I uninstalled. The account remained.I tried to contact customer service but couldn't speak to a human, except via the app. I found messaging on Facebook and did get responses but again, all they said was go via the app, even though I said several times that I didn't want it and didn't have it. I gave my phone number but still no human direct contact. Not happy.

Used to be 5 stars. Unfortunately the interface has become pretty confusing and overloaded. Also the focus shifts more towards wealth management and less analytics how I spend my money. They could just go back to a year ago and I would be glad to use it. But if they keep adding features and making the app more complex I am considering switching to a simpler competitor. Let's see what the next update brings!

Absolutely fantastic. I've been using Revolut for about 3 years now and it does everything I'd need and more. The virtual and disposable cards are incredible, they have fantastic currency transfer rates - and it's super easy too! I've used it in 5+ countries and it's honestly a life saver. It's great for crypto, stocks and even commodities. I honestly couldn't have asked for a better banking app - no other even comes close.

The app has a lot of cool stuff, but the UI/UX design is terrible, non-intuitive. Plus, lately I encounter a lot of crashes and freezes. Why don't you just implement search feature in this app? I cannot find anything I want. Where is the statement generation? Fortunately the support is good and they help me whenever I have a problem.

Setup was pretty straightforward, and I just did my first transfer pretty easily. It's very easy to transfer to my regular bank account. Very fast transfers, receiving and sending on. Overall, pretty cool app and service. Only complaint - the setup process should have made it clear what info I should give to anyone else with a revolut account, so they can send me money directly. This wasn't explicit, and finding the ID isn't easy either.

I like the app overall. I was misled with their referral program. The current one says refer and get 60 dollars. My friends and I assuemed both referrer and referee will get money like they used to give the last time... But no in the end only the referrer gets the money. Even getting that money was a hassle, I had to contact their customer service which is not great at the moment. I'll still recommend it to people. It's a good app. So I'll rate it 3.

Direct debits can't be paid through this account, got myself into financial difficulties because I thought the direct debits i had set up had been paid when they hadn't, spent the money set aside. The assistant couldn't even see the attempt at there end. Checked the account details with all merchants and was all correct. Reverted back to a high street bank and no issues. Tried to close this account and I can't do that either, let's you get to the confirm closure but then the button freezes.

I was a huge fan of this App when I started using it in 2019. Until some months ago it was the perfect app to handle smaller amounts of money and do international transfers. Since a while though I am experiencing frequent bugs and very, very long loading times. Transfers sometimes randomly dont go through, today I tried to top up my card and the money was transferred though not added to my account balance. Sadly, since it became so unreliable, I wont continue using it unless it gets patched up.

Worst experience ever. Transfers taking forever to happen.No clear indication for support when the transfer will occur. I have been waiting for past 4 days receiving the same response that a "specialist" will contact me with transfer issue with no resolution. Based on this experience I am no longer inclined to keep using this application and it's services

I have been using Revolut for almost 3 years. I think it's really good for security, because you can set up security levels with the app and it's actioned immediately. I use it abroad, exchange rates are brilliant, top up instantly, and then if you don't spend all your foreign currency just change it back at the rate at the time, no commission and real exchange rates. In most cases no charges using your card abroad, I think there are some limits but I've never had to pay. I really like it.

Honestly above and beyond my expectations. This app is everything banks nowadays SHOULD be, but are too complacent to improve and change to. If you're able to get the card for free, you should give this a try. I have recommended to my fellow students, who need help managing funds, savings and expenditure - all of which is provided through Revolut. Edit: the user interface has become much more clunky and less personalisable. It is awful to navigate through. Load times have become tens of seconds

Application is buggy more often than not. Sometimes the copy function doesn't work, making me have to memorize all the card's data at once (for other apps on the same phone). Sometimes it's slow and other times it freezes. Maybe that is because im using a Samsung S10 but it shouldn't be.

App design is awful. Used to really like the simple swiping through accounts etc. Also noticed a "weekend fee" for exchanging which seems crazy. Had revolut for years and used to be extremely good. Now the interface is way too cluttered and fees/exchange rates can be beaten with other similar services. Every update seems to be worse these days unfortunately.

Great app but please fix the issue with the Vault page.... it just constantly shows that it is refreshing. It randomly loads but it can take a lot of closing the page and going back into the vault page multiple times. It's frustrating as I can't move money out of my vaults when I need to.

The customer service is terrible. They come across as patronising in some cases and I had also been "misinformed", by 3 different "inexperienced" agents including a manager, that I could speak with someone over the phone regarding a fraud case. I was told that they had set up a call for me on 3 different occasions, so I waited for a call. This did not happen. When I contacted back through the app I was then told about the inexperienced agents and that there is no call function to speak to agent

It's very intuitive and useful app. I used it abroad and I'm extremely happy with the charges and an transfer rate between the money. I used the virtual card for payments and transfer the money. And everything was ok. I'm waiting for my physical card now. This is only problem, it's coming in week and half time, maybe later. But at all, I'm very happy with the Revolut application.

Super easy setup. No annoying call with with a verification service provider. Quick approval. Fair Pricing for Premium Accounts. BUT: App-Design too gaudy for my taste. App Laggs sometimes. Not the most user friendly interface. A graph that also takes income into account would be appreciated. Trying to select the second airport for Smartdelay completely freezes my app.

App refuses to let me top up and change address information. Card keeps getting declined just to top up and no support is provided for a fix. The option to change your billing address while adding card information to your profile doesn't even exist. I'm ashamed to have even made an account here for waste of my own personal information and time. Its a poorly made application and tends to be a bit overly complicated just for making transfers or paying someone

My friend referred me and using the invite link, I downloaded the app. I signed up and fulfilled all the criteria but the referral was not reflected. I hope someone can contact me to sort this out. Also, the way the system is, it does not reflect actual cashback. Somewhat lack of transparency of how the cash back works. The 1 star is for the rebate I get for met/bus.

Deceptive app, doesn't allow you to close account via the app; displays the option to but the actual link doesn't work if you click on it. Discourages customers from leaving, thus keeping accounts active without them actually being used, probably to inflate customer numbers to make their stats look good.

It is common payment system like paypal. Recently changed into banking but without noticable benefits. UX is pretty bad since it is nearly impossible to find in-app support. Also, some services(online shopping, cloud services) won't accept any of the cards from this service. Other than that it is kind of ok. For Germany there are definitely better options.
