Keeps blipping the status bar continuously forever. disastrous purchase experience. payment system is a mess. offered at $9 but tried to charge $12 on the sloppy PayPal browser redirect. also wanted to charge to the wrong surface address. author is trying to be cheap but wont do the follow up work of allowing users to create an account on the website directly, and also pay there. many apps do this.
What a frustrating radio. The new version is so sluggish sometimes that once you finally get it set up, you dont want to make any changes. I cant see that there is any documentation available from the app.
This may be a scam of sorts . I paid twice for a subscription and it still says trial. Tried to update a few times. There is no way to contact the author. I have the PayPal receipts.
I paid for the full version and after a no full programme problem it has now been sorted out. Thank you very much guys for sorting that out for me. well after using R.Finder for a while it is absolutely amazing. the amount of options is really very good indeed. the only 1 fault I can see is the size of the font they are to small. can you please ad an option to alter the font size? my phone is a Samsung Galaxy J6 2018. Apart from that the app is amazing .I am more than happy to give you 5 stars.
My experience with the RFinder radio and the app are excellent I was having some issues but Bob surprise me with a video conference call and we solved all my issues with my RFinder b1 plus it's a great device it is very important that you follow all instructions in the manual closely I highly recommend this device
After installing, it requested phone access "so it could identify the device as well as stop itself if a call came in" but I think that's more for the phones with integral radios. When I declined phone access a second time (and don't ask again) it stuck in a loop telling me about my expired trial subscription from October 2018 repeatedly. Had to force close to get it to stop. Clear data, uninstalled. Later found I was autosubscribed to a spam list. Lost another star for that one!
The app won't open. Just crashes.
So far not impressed. Having issues. When I paid for the subscription to see coverage Maps, I selected open in Google Earth on the app. It just hangs on the Google Earth load screen. Had to clear all permissions on Google Earth and defaults to make it work. The "BM Live Hoseline" opens to a broken site link? Also, no way to filter the lists on a known call sign making it difficult to find THINGS. Missing VE6LRN? Finally, telephone permissions needed?
Been waiting for this release a long time, and it has arrived with many bells and whistles. Thank you Team Rfinder. Well done.
Better than previous version. Works great on the B1 and Standalone on my phone. Now has DMRoIP that works great. Thanks
Crashes when trying to open.
Can't log in at all now. I paid for this service last year, and was interested in it again. I can't log in on android (says network connection error, which is obviously not the problem), and the website doesn't load at all. This WAS great repeater database and tool. It's nothing now.
Cannot even test drive this app. It insists that I purchase a subscription and i can't close that window. Now notification icons at top of screen are flashing crazily. Not impressed and disappointed that somehow this group managed to get the job if publishing repeater listings and ARRL ditched it!!!
There was an issue with my billing, NOT their fault. After I emailed them regarding the problem, Bob called me personally and let me know what had happened and that the issue had been resolved. Great app and great customer service. Its so hard to find that level of service anymore. Well worth the price.
Update: Registration issue solved on Pixel running Android 9!! ** I have used this app for over a year and love it. The recent updates have triggered a problem with Pixel phones running Android 9. I called the developer and am using a test version that is working great. I appreciate the work to keep developing the app.
I have used this app for over a year and it works great for me. I did need to make a call to reset my password and was delited to get the Owner of rfinder on the phone. He walked me through the process and all works perfectly. Thank you for the great app and outstanding service.
Good resource. Subscription seems flakey. I renewed in August 2020 but the app shows it expired in June 2020. It does still seem to work though. 14 Sep : still has registration issues. The web site works OK but the app returns an error regarding network access.
App is good and very informative, but after paying subscription by card through PayPal, as the app directed me to do over a week ago, I'm still stuck in trial mode... would love to access all features available.
It's a great app don't get me wrong. With a lot of convenient things. Only thing about it is they're pretty proud of it that they think that it's worth $12.99 a year not one time a year. Just use repeater book for free. With as many hams as there are in the world they would do okay. Instead of trying to get rich thinking that their app is worth $12.99 a year.
Very happy with the app. I have it partnered with the RFinder radio and it works VERY well. I had some questions on the setup and I called the website number and got Bob while he was waiting at the airport. Had a nice conversation with him while he helped me setup my radio. Great service!!
I think the concept of the app is great, but unfortunately I'm unable to subscribe because when you subscribe you are forced to create a PayPal account. I'm never gonna have a PayPal account anymore. Had very bad experience with PayPal. Sorry, but if you continue forcing your subscribers to open PayPal account I'm not gonna give you 5 stars which I would give gladly under different circumstances.
Great app, especially including the digital version of the ARRL hardcopy, but with search filters. Also love the map function, showing what's around your QTH graphically. .However, having registered, the app is not letting me subscribe, which I wish to do. $12.95 is a dirt cheap price for the annual subscription. But after registering and clicking done the link to subscribe or renew tells me there's a problem and I can't proceed. ADDENDUM. Different link below works, albeit requiring PayPal. OK
