This app is very fun and great for those who don't how to read rhythm. I'm still improving and trying to relate the feeling with the logic of each measure. Seems difficult at the beginning, but gets easier when you spend more time.

Is a great app for learning rhythms of 3/4 & 4/4. As another suggested with this platform more rhythms could be added for further proficiency.

Erin has no rythym the point is to learn timing without a metronome. I think it is very helpful in improving technique.

Just plowing through the free version and it's really what I need to hone up my reading skills!

The app is buggy and the teaching method is too unsupportive for me. Sometimes the exercise decides to exist independently of the metronome, making it completely impossible, which is then made worse by the fact that if you mess up too much, it resets your progress in that exercise. Altogether an extremely frustrating experience.

Well done! Very effective training tool. One thing I'm not sure about is that there is no sound feedback when I tap rhythms. Is that a bug, or is it intentionally designed to help learning? At any rate I'm getting used to it. EDIT: I've progressed to a more difficult level and the required precision seems a bit absurd. Even playing quarter notes over the click I'm off at least once every 2 bars. Maybe it's pushing me but right now it's mostly exasperating.

Great tool, simple made but really efficient! 10€ for unlocking is a bit expensive but I still went for it, as I feel my rhythm is improving and it's super fun. Only 4 stars because the calibration is not ideal, I have to recalibrate regularly. I'm using it next to other apps like this because more training is always great, but if I had to chose I'd go for the other one actually (just because of the price).

So far, this is a pretty good app. The graphics are supposed to kind of pop when the note is played, and after a few days using it, that isn't always consistent. I'd think that would help newer players. I am using a new Samsung S10. I got it because the one my music teacher suggested claims the plug-in is not supported. If asking, I'd like a scoreboard w date/time so I can show my professor I wasn't fooling around on FB during warm-up time. Fun it's for school, tho (theory).

I have never written a review before, but this app is amazing. As a self taught musician, I have always struggled with my internal rhythm and no practice I've done before has ever felt like it was really helpful until now. I love the way this app breaks down the lesson plans and adjusts dynamically to your skills and weaknesses. 5/5, would give 6 if I could.

I've tried other rhythm apps, and they were okay, but this one is the best for me. You not only hear the rhythm, but feel it too as you play it back. Progressively challenging, the app sets 15 minutes for each session and adjusts the tempo as needed to match your skill level. None of the other apps have done that, and that makes all the difference for me.

Need idea but I also do not like the awkward pause. It may be the best way according to whoever but it's a very unrealistic scenario. The pause isn't timed very well. You end up having to guess when to hit and hope you don't scuff the first note and therefore your next notes won't be perfect. I understand the concept but this wouldn't happen in a real life scenario. Your band wouldn't play a bar then wait a bar in a diff tempo then go back to the old tempo. The online one was far worse too.

The need for calibration using a microphone defeats the purpose of the app. It ought to simply be tap based. I can understand needing to calibrate latency with a Bluetooth device, like headphones, but I'm not going to sit there calibrating in a quiet place with a microphone and no headphones just to tap on the screen later. You need a better solution for handling latency.

Frustrating. After level 40, you have to be perfect or it won't let you go on. It's extremely frustrating to repeat a rhythm multiple times, but you make one tiny mistake (the rot dot showing your wrong rhythm is ALMOST aligned to the beat) and you lose your progress for the whole lesson. There's no way to adjust the leniency or allow for a passing score (like 80%), so unless you're perfect you can't make progress, and it makes me want to use the app a lot less.

Honestly the best rhythm app I've ever used. I used to use this app but haven't known where to find it and I finally got it back and I'm so excited to use it again!!! The way it works is very sufficient. It adapts to your pace and gives fun challenges and different ways to help you improve in not only rhythm accuracy, but it also helps improve sight reading. It's exactly what I've been looking for!

I 100% recommend the free version of this app, however, I advise caution on spending $12 to unlock everything. That's a lot of money considering it doesn't allow you to try any level at any time, you still have to advance past every stage to move forward. If you want to repeat a level you reset your progress and have to start over. Sometimes you need to practice a specific rhythm but you can't get to it until you pass all the levels beforehand. Being able to choose your own tempo would be nice!

This app is incredible. I never learnt to read as I was put off reading as a kid at school. This app has taught me more how to understand written music in 30minutes than from a lifetime of playing music and trying to learn from teachers. I think it has to do with the fact that it is non judgemental and tells you to slow down to learn. The break reminders are great for my personality. it reminds you to come back later whilst you are still enjoying it. Otherwise I would probably just keep goin

This is a simple app yet very effective for all users. Lately I don't have enough time to practice with the Ted Reed book at home but I do can with this app on a daily basis in the bus, train, break from work, etc. Some of the issues that I came across have already been addressed although I really would like to see more exercises in the nearest future like odd time signature and certainly harder levels for more advanced users.

Good exercise. The click is easy to hear but the beats, not so much. It could be my phone though even though it's brand new. For an extra challenge play as a passenger in a vehicle. If youre struggling it turns the tempo down which makes it a little more challenging in my humble opinion. All in all i really like it.

worked great initially. but after i paused and closed the app, when i started it up again, the note display was out of synch with the tap sounds. This made it unusable and very frustrating. ( the tap sounds occured significantly before the notes ) I tried going through the calibration steps, and restarting the app several times, and rebooting my phone. ( Android LG G5 ) . But still the taps and the note displays are out if synch.

Great app for sightread/timing. My only problem was at level 41 "your response will be evaluated more strictly". I finally gave up after trying over and over and over being off by 1/32 note. Too many mistakes & u get sent back to the beginning of level. In this app, you tap out rhythms on your phone with sound & note prompts and later, with notes only. Shows with dots on the staff if you are early or late. FreeVersion is 10 mins a day. Unlimited for only nine ninety-nine. 4/4 & 3/4)

So far I'm really enjoying this rhythm training app Im making great strides, I feel like this is the best way to possibly try to learn music later in life. And they say you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I've always Been a drummer but never learned to read music. I only did 9th grade band and then I dropped out, huge mistake that was. This is such a neat way to learn Reading music. And pretty fun, it Is especially great for someone that's already musician and wants to get better. Thanks!

Great app, they fixed a lot of the of problems with the app requiring unrealistic accuracy (it used to be that you had to be EXACTLY correct and at the slower tempos it was horribly frustrating). But it's not as if it lets you get away with mistake. I absolutely love the lessons and then the intermittent sight reading work. Absolutely worth the one-time fee for the full version. Amazing

Fun with limitation. The app layout is clear. The lesson levels are well made. However, there are only two measures for learning. Good but not great. I want to be able to add more measures based on the level. The students should be able to stay with the level and practice more with 4, 6, or 10 measures. When I completely confident, I want to move on to the next level with 2 measures as the app was originally made. Please add customized measures and notes, rests.

Like it a lot and used it a lot, but I would like to see an option to turn of the speeding up feature... I've been playing drums for 30 years and the exercises speeding up (significantly) after getting one or two bars correct, throws me off immensely. It's okay as long as it's quarter and eight notes, but with triplets and sixteenths its very disorienting to have to suddenly adjust to a tempo jump of 10 or more bpm. Please consider reworking that feature, thx. If you don't want to make the next exercise available until you completed the previous one at a certain tempo, then let the user redo the exercise and work up to the tempo.

Loving the absence of ads so far. As a hobbyist wanting to get into percussion, this has been a really nice app to fire up during my commute from and to work. I'd love to be able to customize the feedback more e.g. optionally making the phone vibrate in the pattern to practice, or giving some acoustic sound to indicate correct taps. I think this would make it easier to practice without looking at the screen and allowing my neck to rest a bit ;) Excited to practice more!

Where was this 15 years ago!? Such a good little app. Im really enjoying it which is primary for a sustainable practice. I'm only on day 2 but it works. Simple interface and I like how they have set up to drill you further on specific beats you error on repeatedly. I'm now counting much more effectively rather than copying the rhythm by ear which is a crutch more so than a honed skill of in knowing the maths of music.

All of your team did an excellent App. I hope that people download this for trying and improving rhythm. Although Im sure that we could do better. I want to share my experience for improving ourselves: + if you make the correct beat in the correct moment you got green.. if you are very close orange, if you are further yellow, and the last red. + I think that you can do better with the design, i dont like the organization neither. You got the goal: Im learning Beats. Thankyou very much.

Chalenging and involving. It is almost first my purchased app. Worth its price. I am very begginer in drumming. I've passed all excircises for 3 weeks with irregular playing. Really hate autopausing feature. It is quite easy to work-around by forced closing the app and start again. I had to restart it a lot of time during sessions. I hate it and gave 4 stars only. Also I suppose there is a lot of potential for developing on that engine. I'd like developers implemented pattern editor plz.
