Ride MCTS

Overall, I am happy with this app. I used to rely on a combination of the website and text messaging the real-time system, but now I don't use the website. I still text message fairly often because it's faster and easier than using the app to check the ETA, where it is a multi-step process. There are certainly improvements that could be made to this app, which I'll send feedback about because the space here is insufficient, and hope that the devs will work on them.

The app works great on my tablet, but there's no WiFi at bus stops. On my phone, when I can get wifi everywhere, this app is drek. I can buy tickets & look at route maps, but it doesn't let me look at schedules or see when the next bus is coming at bus stops. Edit: It really gobbles up data. I use less data with the simple bus tracker to learn when a bus arrives at a stop I'm at & going online to access the mcts website for schedules, etc.

Gets the job done but continuously resets map filters when doing simple things like rotating the phone. The previous unofficial map app was better for map purposes. For paying for rides, the app is great, though being able to buy more than one ticket at once would be nice.

5 stars for the developer customer service. had an issue where the activate ticket animation disappeared and this was impacting my actual bus rides with mcts. emailed them and not only did they address my concerns, but they explained what happened (as a tech support rep, i greatly appreciate being given context) and then fixed it within 24hrs. I have literally never had that kind of turn around time from an app developer before. Very pleased!

So this app worked for me for about a week and then quit allowing me to purchase tickets, which effectively made it useless, it hasn't been up David since PreCovid, and I don't expect my email to be answered or for my problem to be solved. 1 star from me, hope it works better for you. (Not really)

The app no longer lets me do anything. It had been working fine until now. It wont let me sign in, see the bus routes, pay for a ticket, etc. Anytime i try anything it just says that the app isn't responding.

It works for some stops. It doesn't show all of them. i have gotten on the wrong bus a few times because it isn't listed on the map marker. It may be the same number bus but it may be a totally different bus line. Its frustrating to be stranded so please fix your app.

What the heck happened. I reinstalled the app after I factory reset my phone and now all of the sudden the app doesn't work, it gets stuck on the passengers screen, I already added myself as a passenger but it's not showing. So now how the hell am I supposed to purchase bus tickets. I'm very pissed.

I don't know about anyone else, but I am unable to purchase tickets through the app, I just get a blank white screen. I emailed support days ago with no response as of yet. I'm not sure how this could be the highest rated transit app without being able to purchase tickets. I would leave 0 stars if I could.

Not very intuitive, took ages to work out what ticket to purchase and then to find it again after buying it. Makes it tough for tourists who are using it for the first time.

I have used this app to get my pass every month for the past six months. It's easy to understand the instructions and saves time buying the same thing anywhere else. There seemed to be a glitch doing it on my iphone, but I didn't install the latest update.

Downloaded the app to skip the use of bus cards, but when i have all my billing info submitted ticket i want to purchess the tab that says purchess ticket takes me to a screen where it says add passager or type of fair and my name. I select my name check marks push the back arrow purchess ticket and brings me to the same screen with no option to buy a ticket. So i try the type of fair when i do that the tab takes me to a blank scree... I say update your app so it works.

honestly why put the schedule on here when the buses aren't even going to show up? fix your code so the schedules are actually accurate. it's winter, it's cold, and i'm tired of looking at the schedule, seeing a time, showing up early and then waiting for the next bus.

When this app works its fantastic!! ...but it works only about 2/3 of the time. Do not rely on it for directions, use Google. Has always worked for using debit card to purchase tickets though so far.

Well if you dont know how to hop the bus use ride mcts yes its a third part but the layout is much more easy to use plus the times that the bus should be at stops is off by 10 mins or more at times.

App was fine until it started not loading and constantly signing me out before I activated the ticket. Ridiculous loading times and even deleting tickets I had previously purchased. You guys need to fix this, it's costing me money.

I love this 😀 ❤ app. I didn't know what people were showing the bus driver on their phone when they got on the bus, but I was determined to find out. Lol 😆 🤣. So I got to asking questions regarding the reason for showing the bus driver your phone. People started explaining too me what I was suppose to do and the app I had to download. When I got the app I was able to put in my bank account info and connect it to the app and the rest is history... I use it as often as I can. Thanks MCTS.

I just want to check when a bus will arrive at a certain stop. If I use the bus everyday, I don't need to "plan my trip" or buy bus fare. I don't know who this app was designed for, but it lacks the functionality to be useful to regular bus riders.

Very basic, with some great inconveniences and thoughtless design. Find routes.... Ok... Buy ticket ... Lose routes you just found. Show ticket... Fiddle around re-finding your route. Might as well just use this to buy the ticket and use Google maps. Sheesh.

Was told I could check balance and manage an M Card through the app. It doesn't do that at all, the M Card is very hard to use and load, their online services are of little help, and the phone number to check balance is over 5 days behind. Useless at best.

Sometimes the app shuts down when I tilt my phone to a certain angle off of vertical. Also the stops I put in as favorites tend to not come up as they should.

App works good for buying ticket online. However showing ticket to drivers and waiting for them to confirm is time consuming and awkward. I wish bus has some QR code reader, nfc or something to automate this process.

App doesn't appear to include real time route progress. used only as a ticketing system. getting bus schedules not available.

Garbage app. Never been so disappointed so quickly with an app. It would not let me select a 24hour ticket. Along with a but of uncooperative functions. I guess I'll just keep driving. Screw you MCTS no money for you.

great app but there are issues when the app doesn't show the next bus info and it crashes sometimes if you're using Android 7.0, 7.1 or 8.0

Bring back the old version To those who don't want to sign in or register or input a complete trip. Just Google mcts bus tracker old version click on mcts real time bus tracker or text the number 41411 mcts and the bus stop ID number.

App has always been pretty trash but now I can't even purchase tickets making it effectively useless. Whoever is overseeing this i hope they're doing it for free because its sad all around.
