It kinda took a while to sign up, but it got there anyway. This is a good app overall, but I will be editing this review after I actually order a taxi.
Good driver experience 👍 but the app is not working for me I changed phones and tried to upload it, it keeps saying wil send sms but I have yet to receive it you need to fix this esu asap.
it's great but of course some drivers say they are coming and then for some reason they don't come and give any excuse! overall its OK!
Its hard to register. The confirmation code that is texted to phone number is unable to reach. Please check it.
At the start almost all drivers are having ethics and their drive was safe but recently for no reason on the contrary don't fell safe while they are driving. Maybe lack of experience and some are not familiar with the city. Please safety and ethics first. Money comes later as a company.
Great! So easy to use and very convenient for getting around the busy streets of Addis Ababa.
Would have given it 3 stars because of some drivers claiming that they don't have change. But the rating is only for the app i guess. So it is an amazing app. The fact that it makes the whole process of the service transparent to customers is so great. The estimated payment and the actual payment are very approximate unless there is a traffic crowd and the driver takes another optional route. Great app!
It is a very good, professional service. As regular customer of Ride, I strongly recommend it. It's easy to use and has a loyalty program. I have only one suggestion: to create an option to select a preferred driver. There are three Ride driver's around my house area, but rather than getting an instant service from them, I am forced to wait for 5, 6... 10 minutes for another Rides which are quitely far away.
The app itself is great but please teach your drivers how to read the map and how to use e.g. google navigation. Most of them cannot find the pickup place even if it is not complicated. You need to walk to the nearest well-known place in Addis, otherwise they would not find you, even if the pickup point is clearly marked on the app's map. This is very annoying, especially when you dont speak Amharic.
The new UI is nice but here are some features we want back from the previous version. * showing the current price and Kilometers you have travelled in realtime as they go would be better rather than waiting for the trip to end then showing the amount to be paid. * In the previous version, driver detail and picture were much bigger & readable but the current small one gives a hard time for people who have mild sight problems and elderly people, previous size was much appreciated. Keep it up 👍
As a foreigner I installed and used this app before arriving in Addis. It works properly and is intuitive. I have had no issues with it apart from the slow start when searching for destination road names or places, this part just takes far too long for some reason. Your drivers are great but don't seem to either know about Google Maps or how to use it for directions. I've had to give instruction to all the drivers I used. Well done developers, it's great coming from an Ethiopian initiative
The app is not what's bugging but the service. I just ordered a ride and the driver cancelled on me but he ended but putting it in the app as though I was picked up by him and that I had paid him. I was totally confused🤔 Anyways drivers happen to cancel a lot of my bookings and usually last minute which is very annoying. I have been reading through the reviews on how drivers don't use GPS & I've had to deal with that a lot too but yet I don't see any improvement. Hope you improve.
For the love of God, ask your drivers to follow the map and to stop wasting clients' time. It's inadmissible that a taxi driver is not familiar with the city roads, buildings and landmarks. Train them well.
It was one of the worst applications I have used, the drivers don't know English you can't give them directions and they over charge and use a price other than the one the app shows, I don't recommend this app at all

it's good app. but drivers always call to ask for pickup point not using the GPS which is very difficult to give them directions.
Great app. But it would be great to include drivers' reputation/rating mechanism so that they will be automatically given priority based on their ratings when they are located in the same vicinity. Some drivers are very good in terms of treating passengers, some are really bad. So, try to include a rating at the end of each trip. Thanks.

If 5 or more ppl ride is a bit of a hustle. I reserved early, but drivers keep cancelling for no reason. I call 82## number about 6 times. They charge you 5 birr every time you call that number. It makes no sense for me to pay 5 birr to give them my business and cancelling my appt when there is 5 min left to pick up is ridiculous. I had to be rude to get someone to show up. We almost missed our flight. Calling them costed us close to trip charge. Avoid if time is an essence. I am owed a refund!
The most useless app of all time. How can someone request for a ride and wait for over an hour before a driver is assigned!! Thanks to this BS now we know other apps exist. For your own good, don't rely 100 on the up. There are other taxi app have them as well and thank me later. Disappointed.
