RIDEOLOGY THE APP

Start a New Relationship with Your Motorcycle
Designed to offer riders an enhanced motorcycling experience, this clever Kawasaki technology enables you to connect with your motorcycle wirelessly. RIDEOLOGY THE APP lets you record your activities and offers supplemental support. Through the app you can create a log of your ride and check performance data at any point along the route whenever you wish. Further, on certain models, the app lets you make adjustments via your smartphone to engine and chassis settings to suit preference or road conditions. Downloaded information about your machine is stored conveniently in your pocket for easy reference, and reminders help you keep your bike well maintained.
Whether corner carving in the hills, cruising along the coast, or wandering the city streets. Up until now, your riding experiences were only preserved in your memory. Now you can store your riding adventures in your smartphone. With RIDEOLOGY THE APP, your Kawasaki motorcycle life will be even fuller.

●FUNCTIONS
When connected to your motorcycle, RIDEOLOGY THE APP allows you to access a number of instrument functions:

Vehicle Info
Vehicle information downloaded to the app can be viewed via the smartphone. Available information includes: odometer, total time, trip A, trip B, fuel gauge, remaining range, average gas mileage, average speed, max lean angle (right/left), battery voltage, Kawasaki service reminder (set by your dealer), oil change reminder (set by the you), plus an additional reminder of your choice.

Riding Log
Detailed riding logs including GPS information and vehicle running information can be recorded. While riding, the app tracks vehicle speed, rpm, gear position, throttle position, front brake fluid pressure, acceleration/deceleration, current mileage, coolant temperature, and boost pressure* and temperature* (*on supercharged engine models) from moment to moment. Once the riding log has been saved, you can review these items in a graphic-style display at any point along the route. The app can also display a ride summary, with information that may include: route travelled, total distance, total time, gas mileage (best/average), speed (best/average), max lean angle (right/left), etc. For the graphic-style display mode, you can select which items are displayed, and for either display mode, you can arrange them in the order you prefer.

Tuning – General Settings
General instrument display settings (such as preferred units, date, date format, etc) can be adjusted via the smartphone.

Tuning – Kawasaki Riding Management
On models for which this function is available, you can set the Riding Mode (Road, Sport, Rain, Rider) in advance on your smartphone, then upload it when in proximity of your motorcycle. Likewise, other vehicle settings (electronic rider support features and payload settings) can be checked in adjusted using your smartphone.

Telephone Notices
When a call or mail is received by the smartphone, this is indicated on the instrument display.
Warning: continual use of GPS signal may have a significant impact on your phone battery duration.

Notes:
・Some Android smartphones may have difficulties in connecting Bluetooth and performing all the functions available on the App due to conflict with customized setting in operating system for these smartphones.
・When riding (with the app ON), your bike and smartphone are always connected. When the engine is turned off, the latest vehicle information and settings are stored by the app and may be viewed on your smartphone. Any Kawasaki Riding Management changes made via the app while the engine is off, or while out of range, cannot be uploaded until the ignition is turned on and your smartphone is in range with the app ON. General settings can only be updated via the app when the bike and smartphone are connected.
・A selectable app function enables the clock on the instrument display to be updated automatically when your bike and smartphone are connected.

It would probably be good app if it would not disconnect after 10 minutes of riding. Position is however tracked as it should. Improve the stability of the connection and it will be good. Small note: viewing graph of stats of a ride have one UX flaw. If you scroll to the left to see more of the graph, everything is ok, but if you want to go back and scroll to right, it is almost impossible. Because it keeps switching to previous "tab"

Poor, so poor. Loses connection to my paired phone constantly and almost immediately. Loses pairing as well. With a paired phone why does it not automatically connect when in range? Every time you have to manually connect to your phone. I once got it to send my riding settings (mode) to my phone and that was it. The Ninja SX is still not noted as being one of the MC it's compatible with (you cannot say it works with) even though it is. PLEASE this needs to be drastically revised so that it is simple to use and works

The app doesn't function correctly on my samsung S7. It keeps changing to the rider's log, it doesn't record my rides or only parts of it, it's often difficult to make a connection with the bike, a lot of buttons in the app are not responsive... I stopped using the app. I find it too frustrating. Conclusion: the bike is great but the app is worthless.

App is a absolute disappointment it was put together as a forethought. Has absolutely zero functionality when not in Bluetooth range. (I know its not in range) but you cannot even change settings to have it update when you are near the motorcycle. Even the provide feedback section of the app has spelling errors and doesn't even allow me to submit feedback about what a disappointment this app is. To make such awesome motorcycle's but disregard such an important aspect of the experience

It does connect, but shows my 2021 ZX10R as an H2. Can't change it. Actually, I can't change anything. It does show on the map that I'm standing next to the bike...so I guess that's good...😂 I'm sure they will fix some bugs, but as it stands now, this app is completely worthless. Ironically, avoiding these types of problems is 100% of the reason why I bought a Japanese bike. Should have held out for the RSV4. And now I get to live with buyers remorse...

Need to restart the app and establish a connection each time you start the bike. Route is recorded as straight lines. Options for phone calls and messages greyed out. No ability to actually do anything with the data. Nice idea but a bit of a waste of time.

This app is okay. However some indicators work wrong. Average speed always at 20kmh, cannot be. Connection is good. Never disconnects. However tours are not recorded, just the first 100 meters.

Not working with Samsung note 8 very disappointed. In the app it says my bike is a ninja H2 when I have a Ninja 650 can only change the picture. No direction's on how to use this app. Very disappointed. After reading the reviews seems like this is one of the biggest problem people are having, not working with there phone. Doesn't seem like they care or they would fix this issue. I feel cheated.

Seems to be a common problem. Trying on a Pixel 5 on Android beta release. The Bluetooth connects just fine. Rideology can't figure it out though. Sample bike data is there and nothing else. Leads me to wonder if this is a new version of Android incompatibility problem now.

Absolutely shocking. This app does not work with my Samsung S20. Won't log rides, nearly all of it is greyed out, doesn't have the z900 on it to select. This is a massive waste of time, sooo disappointed, would have expected something alot better than Kawasaki. Not even an attempt for an update to address some of these issues as clearly it works for very few people. Cheap and nasty sales gimmick.

Not bad, but lots of room for improvement. The route maps are not always accurate, and it does not log as much bike-related data as it seems to be capable of ie acceleration and lean angle.

Gra. N. Aug 22, 2020

Pointless. Only gives you information available to you on the dash, and that's only if you manually connect every time you turn on the bike. Looking forward to more features.

The app could never find my phone. My phone and the Z900 would connect together, but the app never could do the same. I would love to have the free ability to log rides, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen with this app.

Bad, bad, bad. Ride logs don't work, user controls don't work, freezes my phone. I thought Subaru had a bad app for a vehicle. This one is worse. Last update in January shows me Kawasaki doesn't know or doesn't care, maybe both.

I was pretty excited about the possibilities at first, but app crashes all the time, GPS tracker is virtually non-existent. It's highly ineffective/inefficient app. I have Android- Pixel3

So bad that it hurts! C'mon Kawasaki, every customer deserves your best. Complaints are the same: Loses connection to paired phone constantly and almost immediately. Loses pairing when you turn the engine off! You ALWAYS have to manually connect and pair to the phone (at least in Android). Displays wrong info about the bike. In "Tuning" it brings a fixed setting for a Ninja H2 SX that I don't have! Nothing works as it should. FIX IT, PLEASE!

Cam. C. Jun 29, 2020

Nothing works. Can't connect to my bike, can't even find my bike, and it crashes constantly. How can you make such a great bike but such a terrible app? This app has been out long enough it should've easily been fixed by now if they're going to fix it. Don't waste your time downloading. This is terrible and they won't fix it.

Utter garbage as is. Barely connects to my Z900. Nothing works, can make no changes as all the videos claim. All it does is read the current vehicles state. No adjustability.

Ste. T. Jul 18, 2020

Unfit for purpose! Like the vast majority have said, doesn't pair well with many phones (tried four different phones - Android and Apple, all less than 2 yrs old!) The bike never remembers the phone or pairs automatically, without having to reset everything. Complete waste of time and feel robbed by Kawasaki who are trying to use this feature as a unique selling point for their bikes. I'm assuming it's either a bike software issue or problems with the app itself. Sort it out Kawasaki!

Does not function properly with my Samsung Galaxy Note10. I can link the actual Bluetooth to my 2020 Z900 at startup, but nothing in the app works and the notifications don't display on the TFT screen.
