The app itself is functional, you can buy the passes you need and utilize them (sometimes). Overall in person service is a different matter. It's understandable that there is a shortage of workers, which is why it gets a least 3 stars. It just baffles the mind, when on multiple occasions. You have the bus line going the opposite direction, pass you 3 or 4 times before the one going your intended direction finally arrives. Give yourself a 2-3 hour window when planning a route....

The last update was supposed to include "performance enhancements", but in reality it made the app worse than it was before. I constantly find that the app lags during the initial startup, usually stuck on the yellow RTC screen. This has caused me to miss several buses because I haven't been able to scan my pass to board. Drivers are taking note of the issue, but not all are accommodating. I have cleared cache, uninstalled the app and reinstalled the app but no improvement. Fix it ASAP!

It's a functional app, which is the best I can say about it. How a city agency doesn't have an all-in-one transportation app at this point, I don't know. The whole ride experience has been largely negative, with off time bus arrivals, reroute inconveniences, and traffic that only makes a "short" ride feel arduous. You're better off paying for the other methods of transportation.

I have used many apps in my life, but hve to say that the RideRTC app is one of the cleanest, best functioning, and easy to use apps I have ever had. Not to mention, accurate. Since I have downloaded this app, it has NEVER been wrong on bus arrival and departure times. I truly hope that any changes made in the future will only expand upon the great features of this app.

For those who have trouble w/ the scanners. Just hold your phone sideways (portrait mode) and close to the scanner. It works pretty much 100% of the time doing it that way. The Transit app it directs you to for scedules is reliable IF you know how to use it properly.

Very convenient when you do not have cash on hand. Only problem I have is the loading of funds onto your account. It should not be restricted to $5 minimum when you have the option to buy a $3 pass. I bought a 2 hr pass a few days ago and had a balance of $2 I was unable to buy a new pass tonight because of the requirement. I only had $4 on my bank card, and only really needed $3. Drivers should be informed of app features as well. All in all great app.

This app is basically useless. The only purpose for its existence is to buy multi-day bus passes, otherwise there's no point to it. In order for you to check bus arrive times, it forces you to download a whole different app, which is also pretty terrible. It leaves off a bunch of different bus stops, screwing over some of the smaller ones. The Lyft app does a much better job of displaying public transit than the actual public transit app does, and its main job is to get you to now use the bus.

Marginal at best. When it works, it doesn't always reflect reality. Drivers are usually on schedule, but when they're not they're way behind. I can see in the app where the bus is and can wat the bus icon remain motionless a few stops ahead while watching the app tell me I've missed the bus.

It is basically only to purchase and have a mobile pass. If you want to plan your trip it sends you to their website and is not a part of their app. The CapMetro app for Austin TX had the planner in the app. No going outside the app to plan trip. I was hoping this app would be similar. It has a link to My Bus app which means you have to use 2 different apps. Not that great. Wouldn't recommend unless all you want to do is is purchase and use a mobile pass.

The most inaccurate and inconsistent app you could ever use. Buses don't arrive even close to the time shown on the app.

Ok app but I noticed with phone that have 4k screens the scan pass does not work when you use the pass. It says not valid... Worked fine on my old phone. As a Android developer I reversed this app in Android studio and they need to update the support for newer phones. I feel like the devs use 3rd party programming software so they don't see the compatability issues

Does not allow you to proceed to a purchase wheitching devices or accounts on the go. Defeats it's own purpose of being 'mobile's app. Or the designers of it were w stupidity on steroids when designed this app. Need to keep in mind if there is a need to switch accounts there is also a need to switch passwords, as a consequence, it should be enable someone to switch i.d. discounted fares, since the i.d. is always tighten down to one account. Mistake of management at work with our tax dollars the non inclusive of alternate or transferable i.d. between accounts of the same passenger, of course once verified.

I've used slot of public transportation apps and RTC is the best one yet. Loads quickly, easy to navigate the app as well as your trips. And you can even split payments when you just don't have enough in that one account to cover a 24hr pass. ($5)

DOES NOT WORK! I've had this app for almost two years and the busses show up on map maybe half the time. P.S. They just updated and "fixed" some issues...still worthless, busses are still routinely late.

I like how it tells me where and when its coming, I do enjoy using the WIFi on the bus too WHEN ITS ON because I have notice that some buses have the WIFI sign on the bus but it's off, I feel at times the Driver controls the WIFi switch. But I do use this app all the time.

Dont buy a bus pass on this app unless u can wait 2-3 hours for the bus. Most ppl have 2 switch busses so 2-3 hours PER STOP. I rode bus daily for 10 years. Its basically unrideable now bc so many missing busses. U buy a pass on this app then wind up using Uber anyways so it goes 2 waste. They still blaming it on covid despite the lockdowns ended 18 months ago. They added routes & stops despite being short 100's of drivers making it much worse. Should have spent covid $ on hiring & retention

New update was unnecessary. Need to add the "activate ticket" back to the main screen rather than adding to the wallet. Not convenient when trying to get on public transport at 5 AM.

For 2 free bus passes to go get my vaccine. I thought that was really great, it shows that this company cares. And it's easy to buy bud passes and your don't have to worry about losing your paper one because it's stored right on your phone.

I'll never give this broken pos transit system another penny you will never be on-time even if you leave a bus early and BEWARE of buying passes on the app it just like swipeing it the second you but it even if you don't activate it is active total rip off a bike is way more time efficient

Nik. C. Jun 22, 2021

This app is trash. Gives no information on times, and it doesn't let you pay for single trips. I also want to mention that Vegas transportation is one of the WORST in the country. Drivers are rude, they only take exact change, and buses are often 5-10 minutes late. Sometimes scheduled buses don't show up, and you have to wait for the next scheduled bus. Whoever is in charge of managing this is terrible at their job and should be fired, though they probably don't care at all anyways

DO NOT USE THIS APP TO PURCHASE BUS PASSES. It will rip you off. Say you don't have a pass. Take your money anyway. Calling customer service and using the dirty word "refund" gets you put on hold for an hour and counting. Contacting RTC (nearly impossible) will get you a lengthy explanation as to how it is never their fault and it must be your fault. Calling your credit card will be told they cannot refund charges from this vendor. Otherwise, the information is generally wrong.

i want my money back. I bought a two week pass on the 18th of January, right, just to get it out of the way. Activated it on the 28th of January. it is only valid until the 2nd. Giving me 5 days. I don't see the point of having an activation option when, clearly, its activated at the time of purchase.

Mat. S. Nov 27, 2018

This is the second time in 1 month my purchase shows used on a day in the future and is no longer active, its 1 in the morning and your customer service is closed, luckily the bus driver still is giving me a ride. Very upset i travel 17 miles 1 way and if she didnt i would have been screwed. Fix this problem immediately if you dont have 24 hour service!!!!

Kur. B. May 28, 2021

Good way to pay, keep your wallet out of sight, hands-free. Make sure you only buy a card on the day you need it, it gets activated that day. If you put cash on it, then you can use it to buy a card when needed.

It's great ability to tell the rider where in real time on your route that partular bus is. One thing I noticed while riding the BHX or Boulder Highway Express at early, on the way to work commute. 4am - 6am that the onboard security is abrasive in techniques to keep people from sleeping. One wake up and strike two is you getting booted off the bus no matter the consequence or party involved. I just say be human and have some compassion.
