Best museum app I have used anywhere in the world!!! This app sets the standard. It leads you effortlessly from one Masterpiece to the next where it provides interesting, insightful information . There is NO NEED to rent an audio-guide at the Museum since this app mirrors the guide exactly. (NOTE: While it is not required --- for the best experience bring your own headset.)
This guide is for people that have good orientation, otherwise you will get lost. It is not intuitive at all. My recommendation is to put numbers on each painting and then to put list on this guide.
I used it some moths ago just fine and now they just "stopped supporting" my device... come on, is just an android that works perfectly do not limit your app devices to the most recent so everything is flawles and you won't get bad reviews. Bad move!
you should better job with geolocation. But enjoyed experience with app. Thank you
Brilliant, really made my visit to the museum much much better. Highly recommended!
Really helpful for visitors
its an amazing app!!
a museum map would be useful
Confusing when you decide to syart the app once you're already moving in the museum. If each room was assigned a number and then type the number in the app, would be easier.
This is a great app for navigating the museum! So many useful features - I like how it shows you where the particular painting or object is in the room, for example. The detailed explanations were fantastic and informative. It really makes the experience complete. I would suggest that they review the map and navigation instructions. Typically, I am not map-challenged and I found it a little confusing. But, still, a great app. Thank you.
enjoyed , informative & very clear diction . thanks
Very useful app but it is necessary to check foreign languages settings. Italian grammar is often incorrect.
The app is a disaster. I had only 3 hours for a tour, spent more time interpreting the maps. Saw one Rembrandt and one Vermeer and loads of medieval fluff of no interest. Maybe the museum is just badly organised like the app, but skip it and go to London our Paris or Rome for art.
It's a really useful app, it really enhanced my visit. Also I'm very excited about the well functioning state of the art technology used in the app
Really great app, a must for visiting the museum. This was the best museum app I've used, very easy to use, I enjoyed using the guided audio tour and individual piece lookup.
Very weak and not response app. But if works its contents are very useful.
Did the 90 min highlight tour. Excellent!
Excellent. A must have when you visit and later for recap
Can not exit the app!!!!
It contains narrated audio guidance, with tours across main exhibits. Beware the battery drain, though, it doesn't allow the screen to be turned off during narration, so after going through 2.5 hours I was left without power.
A must have if you are visiting. Great audio tour in English (and many other languages). Allow several hours for the visit, I recommend starting on the third floor (floor 2 since ground floor is 0) and working your way down
The Mauritshuis app is much better. Without headphones the Rijks app is useless as it's impossible to hear in the crowded gallery without annoying others. I would prefer reading text or have the option.
See more -Only audio. No video
I only gave 4 out of 5, because I found that it only gave a great performance IF you went into Settings/Apps and clear the cache for the app after each period/exhibition, otherwise the cache keeps growing and crashes the app.
App is great and usefull. Be aware though, uses about 120mb when used for a tour of about 1,5 hour
Problems after upgrading phone to Android 5 - reinstalled the app then deleted App data and cache and it started working again. Looking forward to using it at museum
While the app works fine at home, when I was in the museum yesterday, opening it just gave an error message that something went wrong. No matter how many times I tried - both while connected to the museum's WiFi and not - it refused to work. One I got home, it was fine.
