Great to have info on what going on around your neighborhood, but by the time you actually get to see what is going on after you get a notification the person or whatever is gone. The delete feature in the History usually takes a few times of selecting items before it works, it would be nice to be able to select "All" instead of one at a time. Definitely is nice to have, but the app needs some tweaking. NOW 2022, APP HAS EVEN MORE ISSUES, WHEN ARE THEY GOING TO FIX IT?

Gradually getting worse with each App update. If you think of it as just a doorbell, it'll probably be fine for what you want. The 'security' hype doesn't work reliably, and motion detection and notifications are patchy at best. It does work when someone pushes the button, so you know someone is at your door via your phone and Alexa for example, which is fine. Beyond that, it's just gimmicks.

Whenever I'm at home on my wifi I get an error message that the app can't connect with the door bell. I have to turn off wifi and close the app and then I'm able to see it over my cellular network. My router is about 5 feet from the door bell so range isn't an issue. I can only assume is a poorly designed app or door bell. Thanks Amazon!

As expensive as these products are, they perform very poorly. I can't view live video and now I find out from the comments here, it is because I'm not a paid subscriber. So we all fell for the bait and switch. Shortly after we bought a few Ring products, we bought Wyze cams. They are great! When you receive an alert, the video actually shows the trigger event, unlike Ring that only shows after the trigger and it takes so long for the video to load that the product is pointless. Wyze is the WTG!

When the app launches in a timely manner... or at all. It's great! But a clean launch is rare these days. Long delayed launches prevent me from viewing any live camera action while action is actually happening. I have to use the physical keypad to arm or disarm the security system more than ever just because launching the app can take over a minute or it just hangs on blue Ring splash screen and never loads. Extreme delays kind of render the whole thing ineffective.

This app could be good but isn't. It takes far too long to load a video, the entire ring system seems obsolete in operation and maintenance. The RING competitors appear to be providing stellar services based on friends, family and local professionals. If I could do it over I would not purchase ring or be forced to use their subpar app or systems.

Besides the constant black screens, failure to connect and missed motion events, now the app has changed and added a strange timeline that is the most annoying feature they included yet. I'm tired of Ring constant failures and now it's been revealed they are sending information to third parties from the Android app including your sensor information. This is not good, and I'm making the transition away from Ring. Update 2022: It's got an even worse, and never tells me when somebody's at the door

This app has really poor performance issues. The camera rarely connect properly and even if they do the videos take forever to load. Not very trustworthy if you like to keep an eye on your home. Disappointing whereas the tech has advanced over years with other devices, this app is really going in downward spiral. The app developers should be fired.

For the Ring doorbell, why on earth would you not have the option to search the event history by date, rather than having to scroll through each day? If you want to find something from 10 days ago, that's pretty much your day sorted for having something to do. Such a poor decision from Ring not to add this option. Not to mention that you can't view any screenshots taken every 30 seconds, unless you open and close live view.

I no longer get sound with my notifications when I put the phone into Do Not Disturb. There is a icon but no sound so I can't be alerted at night when sleeping, which was the whole reason I bought the system. So I don't feel safe at night anymore. I called CS but they really couldn't solve this. It DID work perfectly. Most likely the newest update, which ruined something that was working fine before. Might have to find new system.

Like many other reviewers have stated, the Android Ring app is completely non-functional as of late. The IOS version is marginally better in that it works for at least the basics. Update: I hate this app even more. It's completely broken on Android. It always says I don't have a connection regardless of whether I am on wifi or 5g. Only about one in ten times will it show live video when the app actually decides to connect.

I'd figure Ring would've resolved these typical problems most of their using are having already. These problems are very frequent. I'll list them. Live view stays stuck loading or loses connection and once that does it wants me to do the setup again over and over. The device I have doesn't even have a restart device feature which could potentially solve this issue. Auto reconnect from the device to Wi-Fi doesn't connect after the internet has been re-established. This app needs work.

It is far from perfect and misses a ton of motion, for instance, it'll pick up vehicles driving down my street but misses people walking the sidewalk which is about 10-15ft closer than the street. Live view works occasionally. I personally wouldn't recommend this product but if you already bought it, I guess $3 to have a camera that works sometimes but always gives the illusion that there's a fully working camera system is fair enough.

Something haa gone wrong, now the doorbell (v3) falls off the wifi every day. Doesn't matter if you re-insert the battery or reset the connection, it falls off again in no time. The router is on the other side of the door. Brilliant when you've just gone on holiday, for example, it makes it completely pointless and I'm now looking at ditching the three Ring devices and subscription I have. It's unbelievable that it hasn't been fixed after so many weeks when so many are complaining about it.

Good app, but do not like that you can only see live video unless you pay a monthly service fee, and the long delay between the motion/ring, and the phone notification. This means that if you do not pay monthly, you cannot see who is at the door because they usually are gone by the time you are notified. Needs quicker notifications, and ability to bigger and replay at least 2 minutes of footage for free (using local phone storage, or whatever) for free, on order for it to be a useful remote app.

The product is amazing but the app needs a lot of work. It won't load half of the time or sometimes just takes forever to load. It loses connection all too often and trying to pull up the motion notification takes a long time too, especially when I'm trying to view it immediately. Great layout overall but performance is where it lacks.

dbs. May 1, 2022

An OK app but needs performance improvements. The Good: Layout and UX. The Bad: - Events that just happened take ages to watch back. It just keeps saying "processing". - Trying to watch an event that happened a day or two ago takes ages to actually load the footage. - Between getting the notification of someone ringing the bell and loading the actual live stream takes forever, the person has already gone. If the performance issues are fixed then the app would be 5 out of 5.

Ever since I did the update a week ago our ring app has SUCKED!!!!! It's not our Wi-fi. Everything else connected still works. Our ring only worked for 2 days and hasn't worked since. It keeps saying to reconnect but if it does it lasts 5 minutes!! We are tired of this!!!!! It's just like throwing money out the window!!!! It's worked fine for over a year and since the update doesn't work at all!!!!!!!!!!

Ben. W. May 3, 2022

Loved it in the beginning. However, I have discovered that the batteries do not last long. Seems like every two weeks I'm recharging. Very inconvenient considering I have a very busy life. Also, the major delay in notifications. I'll receive my notifications 15mins up to an hour later. Looking to switch to a different company very soon.

Mik. J. Apr 29, 2022

For the most part, it works as it should. One issue that I noticed is that unless I "force close" the app, it will connect to my car's bluetooth phone connection and then shows a call in progress. But it's not in a call. If I force close, the call in progress ends and all works properly.

Something isn't right lately. I've been Thrilled with my devices. Now, with literally one if the best Comcast modems avaliable, a device not 30 ft away struggles to keep connection. And everytime I need to charge one of the 4 I have, I hold my breath as to how hard it will be to reconnect. I fail to believe it's the devices, I think somethings up with the app somehow.

I. P. May 2, 2022

"You have 57 new alerts". I. Don't. Care. If I don't open a notification, it's because I'm uninterested in the content of the particular notification. I don't need a running tally of how many I've ignored. You're annoying us all, and that notification (which I can't individually select to turn off) hasn't helped a single user.

This is by far the worst wifi device I've ever purchased. The first one was replaced because it would not stay CONNECTED to the wifi. Now the second one is almost as bad. Wifi provider replaced modem with built in router. Ring doorbell is showing excellent connection. It is 5 ft from the router on 2.4gh. I have to reconnect the doorbell to wifi every other day. I do not recommend the 2020 2nd version.

The ring is great to install on your property. We got the 1st generation ring. Been working great. Later noticing that you have to pay attention to the battery 🔋life after been recharged. I feel like it's decreasing a bit faster than before. Maybe I might have to change the wiring that connects it to the house door bell to keep it charged. The zoom is poor and it sometimes don't record when it should. Once again it's a 1st generation ring doorbell. The newer models should be a lot better. 👍🏾

Cri. B. Apr 15, 2022

I loved this app up until recently. I never had any issues. But lately it hasn't worked. It keeps losing connection, the camera keeps freezing, the live view is horrible it says it's unavailable most of the time and trying to view the video footage is a joke half of them don't load or is stuck buffering. Very disappointed 😞. I started to look into other products for home security.

Wow. So it's not just me🤦‍♀️ what a flippin' disappointment! It used to work fine for over a year! Now, I have to consistently connect and REconnect so it misses a LOT! I don't even realize until i notice that my phone is not receiving any notification alerts of movement. When I check it on my phone, it shows it's offline and I'm usually not at home so have to wait till I get home to reconnect. So frustrating! Are they doing this to get us to buy an extender?? That's what I think....ugh
