RISK: Global Domination

Super game but 2 majors issues: 1) A lot of cheaters in the online version. I'm very disappointed, frustrated and bored with this. It's destroying the fun. Plain and simple. 2) While I can't win online because of cheaters, AI in single mode is way too easy to defeat (even in Expert mode). Something needs to be done by developers. In the end, I feel scammed to have paid 6 euros.

After a few years on this, I am finally deleting this today out of frustration. Used to be a great game, then it got bloated in 2022 and started taking up all kinds of data. It says it lost a connection when I've still got a connection. This seems to especially happen when you're close to winning. Sometimes it freezes up and won't let you do anything but quit the app. This only seemed to happen since they really started pushing in app purchases.

4.5 stars Great game, most of the time. The occasional time when the computer opponent defeats me with fewer armies gets a little annoying. Also I would love to be able to see their rolls against me (in battle) when they're attacking and I have blits turned off on my rolls. Part of the fun of Risk is the actual rolling of the dice. But I do enjoy the game other than these points, hence the high rating.

I love this game is fun and addicting, for my understand, i love game to play. It's a world board games, definitely recommend. But, fall of that, the game is has most of them map has paywall, and definitely not good. Need unlock at least 10 map, and more will be unlocked by paywall. Oh yeah, and the ads is completely broken, unless to need fix this ads. It's addicting, but need little bit to improve, like some maps need unlocked, and really love it.

I like this game. Unfortunately in the last 3 months I've noticed some odd activity. In long games when I have a lock the game will show "lost connection". Every other app still functions from internet/wifi but the game will lock out and not even count down for reconnect. I can immediately shut down and restart and it's all good fir connection. I lose the game of course. Very frustrating. Wow. Just had a 4 hour battle. Finally get a solid edge and ONCE AGAIN "lost connection"!!!!! Full wifi!!!

Classic risk which a good thing, it has nice boards/map, "customisation" options ads nothing to the game but you buy if want to not obligated 2. And then adds before and after a round. No thanks. The game is good though. Can't play offline single player as the game requires a connection, also collects unecessary dat from the user.

Was a great and fun game to play. You wanted extra options and maps? You paid. Now even for it to load you're forced to either stop your internet and have a very ugly banner giving you an error, but you can still play the classic map, or suffer through two mandatory ads which eat up your data plan. Update, on 01.05.2022: remember those ads? Now they're so badly centered on the screen that most of the time you are unable to exit the ad, so the game becomes unplayable. Uninstalled

Great adaptation of the classic board game. There are lots and lots of different maps, characters, and dice that you can spend money on but there are free maps each week in addition to the classic map that is always available. Haven't tried the ranking system.

Risk used to be a very fun game but this app does what everything these days do: limited content locked behind five dollar content packs. You can play about 4-5 maps (two or three being locked behind tutorials) before you hsve to pay money for other map packs. It feels like a money grab, but the game play still has that risk appeal. It lost three stars because I has to buy the European pack to play a different map.

This game is fun offline or when it works online but I am only rating now because 50% of the games end up with connection issues and never allows me to reconnect making me forfeit and take the loss. Seems to always happen when I am winning or securing a win. Seriously played 10 games and 6 of them had this problem. 1 allowed me to reconnect. There is no point in playing for leaderboards when you get docked for losses like these.

Update: things seem to be fixed. Old review below: This game is not playable on multiplayer anymore. I have a very reliable internet connection yet somehow I keep "losing connection". Meanwhile, my internet is up and running communicating with other servers just fine. The app says it is trying to reconnect but is never able to do so. Then I end up losing matches I would have won because of the lost connection was never reestablished. This used to be a great game.

Playing on medium no matter what the AI was able to get 16+ recruits each turn after the first 2 turns basically. Meanwhile I'll get +12 from cards but only retain 10 which makes zero sense at all. Says it's true random then rolls should be individually done instead of at the same time. Rolls are rigged. Blitz only works if AI only has 1 on a territory otherwise even if it is 99% you wil likely lose half your troops in the process 99% of the time.

Not sure if anyone from the game reads these, but they really need to add an option to do something like personally flag players so it gives them a warning highlight only visible to you if you're about to join a game with them. There are way too many aggravating players who are honestly terrible and it takes way too long to get your skill level up. It seems like most of my time is spent playing pointless games that make no sense to the point where I don't even want to join any games anymore.

Its good of you pay for the unlimited coins and maps. But it gets old if you don't buy things. I can beat the computer on expert every time so it's not as fun. The only thing that the difficulty changes is the roll chances. Smaller enemy armies will defeate your bigger armies.

Last 10 games, it's been consistent disconnect in mid turn. Resets my troops constant. Turn runs out and can't fortify. Or do, but it's a disconnect in the beginning of the next players turn, resulting in it resetting a few seconds and taking away my fortifications. One instance I was robbed out of 12 troops to be deployed. Very last game, I attacked into continent, and the map twisted. Going forward, I couldn't deploy troops or move. 10 games consistent I've been dealing with players who cheat.

It's a really good game, it gives loads of choices of maps and choices to customise your game! But the free version makes you watch too ads to get into the game which puts me off playing slightly. Overall if you can be bothered watching some ads it's a good buy

Great rendition of a classic. I love everything about this game, the map packs, blizzards, different game styles and the general aesthetic of the whole thing. The characters are easy to hold a grudge against lol. But omg the ads are a nightmare. Often I'll have to go through 2-4 ad walls to get enough tokens to play. It's worth it to pay for premium, it was fine when it was just one ad for 5 tokens, but it's often 2 ad walls now.

Really enjoy this game. Even though you can buy custom maps, the free stuff is so good that you don't need to unlike other games. No ads either. I'm keeping this one. It's like regular Risk, only they also have other maps, which turns out to have been a great idea. Keeps it interesting. The graphics are interesting and fun as well. First rate game. I play it on a chromebook, which I recommend. Also, I play it offline singleplayer.

Risk. I chose 3 stars because I can see how much detail is in this; which is not a lot. Also, the amount of ads is starting to bother me. I don't particularly like ads so either cut down on the ads or you make to ads give rewards. Please, I know this game can be great.

I keep on getting disconnected from games. When I'm eventually able to reconnect, I join a game that's out of sync with the rest of the players so there's no point. Very dissapointing, especially since I have a strong, stable internet connection.
