I have an interview due in 10 hours and I cannot access the real interview video recording. I am permanently stuck on the "preparing question" page and no amount of basic troubleshooting works. I have tried changing locations for better wifi connectivity, restarting my phone and wifi connection multiple times, and changing wifi networks. This is a truly terrible application.
This app was difficult to use and barely worked. Twice in the interview process the app failed to record any video and to top it off, when I sent it in I received an email that the company I applied with ONLY got the video portion. I did not receive the position and its very likely that this app has a large portion of the responsibility for that.
I was excited to receive a video interview from AT&T. Only one problem exists, this app in it's entirety and all of it's developers. I can't even open it, it just stops EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have reinstalled and it's the same story. Hey, whatever though right? It's only a possible future career with AT&T and I job I really wanted. No biggie. Half baked developed apps without an update since August. Ridiculous. I AM SO MAD! Update! They update the app the day I posted my review and it still doesn't work! Wow.
Before I knew I had to download the RIVS app, I spent nearly 11 hours trying to complete the 5 question video interview on my cell phone, but only completed 3 as my phone wouldn't engage further. But the email that invited me to the interview did not say to download the app to my phone. I'm sure it was assumed I'd be doing it on my computer. Because my laptop is 5+ years old, I was told by Rivs tech support that it was too old for the system. Called 2x. Now it works fine! Thanks Fernando!
After answering about 5 of the interview questions it failed to upload my video responses saying that I had a poor internet connection even though I had a very strong wifi connection. It didn't save anything that I recorded and I now have to start the process all over again. What a huge waste of time.
There is a glitch in this app where if you are reviewing a video previously recorded and decide to record a new video the previously recorded video that you just reviewed must be paused. If you forget to pause and just click record it will record you with the audio of old video previously recorded still playing in the background. This was a huge distraction, completely ruined my second recorded interview. You would assume that if the video allows you to record then the old recording would stop.
Not compatible with my Chromebook. Image was rotated (90 degrees) and remained rotated while the chromebook is rotated to compensate. Also the image was distorted (elongated and fuzzy) . My Chromebook works great with other webcam software.
It'd be really nice if this app worked. I've seen in the reviews where some have had success, sadly I am not one of those few. I believe I have a good shot at the job I'm applying for its just disappointing that I may not get past this stage because of a hastily put together app. Almost 12 hours sitting on the "logging in" message. Tried tablet and smartphone. So sad.
Less than 5 minutes worth of interview questions took 40 minutes with at least 35 of that being loading. And it's the app because I tried WiFi and AT&T cell network and it was just as terrible on both. You'd think something used to interview candidates would work. You'd be wrong.
This app doesn't work well with any Android products. There is low to no sound recorded for your interview. I have missed several interviews with AT&T because of this problem. I hope someone from AT&T and any other companies that use this app reconsider this app as a method for pre screening.
Generally my experience with this app is ok; quite easy to navigate. The bad sides are low quality video due to it's being compressed & too sensitive in detecting background sound
App will not load so I am unable to start my video interview. I have seen alot of the other reviews posted up and I can see people have similar experiences. It looks like the development team in charge of this app have alot more work to do to make this app more reliable. It is a shame ATT will not be able to conduct their interviews with all these potential candidates. If I could go lower than 1 star I would hopefully support team gets back to me to resolve the issue.
This app is absolutely amazing. Easy to use and definitely one for the books for sure. Ive never experienced a virtual interview before today and this was definitely a neat and simple experience the app is very basic and simple to manage. I love this app.
This app is rubbish. Full of errors and very little options to work around them. I can only imagine how many career opportunities this has cost people. I also can't see how businesses would even want to keep using it.
I spent a significant amount of time working on a video response, on my Android phone, and when I was finally ready to "Use This Recording", I received an error message, which told me to use a different device.
Unable to access my interview with a full signal on several different networks. This is indeed the worst app I have tried to use.
Sucks. Spent 6 hours trying to upload my recordings for 10 questions. I recorded 33 takes because it would upload for 30 min and then fail unless my respons was only 20 seconds long. Im using a galaxy s9.
A lot of reviews saying it didn't work for them. It's definitely nothing fancy, but it allowed me to complete my interview using my phone instead of hooking up a webcam on the computer.
I feel the digital interview is ok but better to have a face to face . It looked a little confusing to me where I could have done better in an face to face interview.. Thanks anyways for giving me an opportunity.. Regards..
this app does not work on Android products. att interview is not possible. Please fix this. most frustrating. this is a galaxy 7 Samsung phone.
one word HORRIBLE! have lost 2 AT&T job opportunities because this app does NOT WORK! no fixes no updates and no type of technical support .
There were multiple times were the video wouldn't upload/freeze and had to re record a response. It made a 30 minute interview take over 2 hours
bug fixes helped made it usable. some typos on "make, made. " Better than February 2019.
Epic jOkE. Cost me my interview, even though they expected me to buy lan high service intermet , just to work online, this app didn't ever help.
Have an online interview. The app says it keeps crashing and won't load. Beyond unfair and should be held accountable for people not being able to apply for jobs.
Terrible. Glitched out and sent my screwed up responses instead of letting me redo them. Probably won't get the job!! Screw this app! Junk!!
Unable to use application due to immediate error message. Really a shame because I need to do my interview on here.
At first I was upset that it had said that my internet connection was poor but I had fiber internet. I contacted the recruiter and they said they received my interview. If you run into the same problem contact your recruiter.
Though it seems many android users could not use this app effectively or at all, this app did what it needed to for me and did not give me any issue, Galaxy S9+
I could never get the app to save video from my phone (S7), so I switched to the laptop browser as to not lose my practice tests. While also buggy it worked. If a person's potential future is to be entrusted to an app it needs to be perfect. No exceptions. There's also the possible issue of front loading implicit bias. Is it better to be stopped at the app or at an actual live interview? Overall it wasn't a postive for me and a little de-humanizing; but this is the future better get use to it.
