Roadside Stories are a series of audio guides to places of interest on major road trips in New Zealand. Each guide tells the story of an attraction along the way
- its people, its history, its cultural and natural significance.
The Roadside Stories app contains 13 tours with 140 stops. Each stop has a four-minute audio file and images of the location.
You can download the tours individually before heading out on the road so you don't have to worry about mobile data. Each tour includes a map showing the location of the stops.

Best way to tour New Zealand. Self drive and discover the country at your own speed, without missing the cultural and historic commentary.
I downloaded app, plus one trip. Many MB, which costs me. When I wanted to play it again to family, it would not open? All other apps worked. Tried a few times I went to Play store and it confirmed that app was still installed. Decided to restart cell phone. App had disappeared... was Uninstalled??
