Roadtrippers - Trip Planner

This app use to be amazing but now it doesn't show much that you can't already find on Google maps. Way too many food places and all the unique places are gone. We use this a few years ago and loved going to all of the quirky places we found. Now it is just the big tourist stuff and you can't even customize it, just shows stuff on along your planned route. Disappointed

The app is ok. But I would like to see more settings, like an hour or mileage limit per day so you can plan hotel stops and better understand how long your trip is going to take. Just because people can drive 24 hours straight doesn't mean they want to. For attractions it's good but the logistics sux.

Not really happy with my purchase. For me its a fail. Good for sending relatives your route but thst is it. I can not see any setting to allow me to download app info so it works when outside of cell wifi range. Stuck in Yellowstone with all of my planned stops not available. Luckily I downloaded google maps offline for this area and used that and my memory to get by. Also planning multi day trips is awkward.

I really like the app and the ability to locate scenic things to do in a new area. Also love being able to book a room for many (but not all) hotels that show up along the route when traveling. I wish it was easier to add a stop to the trip directly from the map while navigating. Also, it would be really nice to have trip progress visible from the map (not the navigation) view of the guide, or to be able to log gas prices that could inform other drivers like on Gas Buddy.

I really really wanted to like this app, but living in the UK and planning exclusively European trips its aggravating how America-centric this app is. You have currency options - why the heck isn't there a Euro option? Typing in any European city or landmark you first have to scroll through tons of American towns or streets first. Please please invest more for your European users. Also a short trial period would be great to actually try out functionality. 7 waypoints isn't even enough to plan a day trip imo. Lastly if you could introduce a month to month pay plan that would be great for those of us planning one trip only.

This app is lacking a lot compared to MyMap (Google) which is free. Constructing long routes of waypoints is tedious as the app sequences additions itself and then you must drag them in the routeline to resequence. Everthing added to the route is a waypoint, cant add points of interest. Search is very limited. No navigation. Pin drops are useless. I cant recommend given the cost.

I'm not paying $30 for an app I will most likely only be using once in my lifetime. The free version only allows 7 stops including start and end points which isn't much of a road trip. Google Maps allows more but still not enough for my trip, so I thought I would try this app. Uninstalled.

I have tried hard to like this road trippers app. But it never fails to disappoint me. You always have to verify with Google maps if places are even open or still in business. I wished I could have liked it enough pay for the extra features. I have been trying to like it for 5 years. Disappointment, too much to comment on here. uninstalling

I downloaded this app to try & plan a roadtrip & add in some stops. Tried to find Mount Kembla near Wollongong for example, just doesn't exist according to this app. Even searched it by name & it still didn't come up. Searched Sea Cliff Drive & it also didn't come up, I had to physically drag the map to the area to be able to select it. This kept happening constantly, the places aren't logged by the app or don't come up when searched. After I finish this review I'm deleting it from my phone.

Abysimal. When I enter a place and address, it consistently reports "No places here. Try zooming out". When I try to set up a trip the app won't accept to/from entries. Fields are grayed out.

I enjoy this app immensely. It gives me places to visit that would take days to research on my own. I love that it gives me suggestions for dining, gas stations and places to sleep. It is easy to change your stops on the way when you're traveling. It shows others reviews and allows you to review sites. It was an essential part of planning my trip from California to Louisiana and back again.

It doesn't simplify trip planning because links all bring up error messages so there's added time and steps to go outside of app to look up additional info on hotels, restaurants, ect. I found myself jumping right back onto Google maps after a few minutes. The added info isn't in depth to supplement planning, it's brief articles that may mention your route if you're going somewhere popular. "Scenic Route" setting was disappointing. I attempted to submit feedback and got an error message...

Black text against a black background in the search field? Search feature unusable. Need to rely on map only, which itself is pretty good.

Very disappointed in this app. I started to plan my trip and at first it seemed really great so I paid for the premium version. Once I started doing more research on the places I had added I found out a lot of them were closed permanently. And lots of places were missing too. Very very outdated.

Completely outdated, not helpful. The reviews of hotels are years and even decades old. Less helpful than just pulling up Google maps.

Crashes all the time. Never provided a search for prices along a route. Crashes twice and locked out a few times so uninstall now as useless.

I've checked the app for a trip from Victoria BC to Arizona, taking the coast Highway. The app works great as it gives information you can't find on any map.

Incomplete hotels on map, have to keep going into profile to see planned trip. Overall not as useful as expected.

Doesn't have nearly enough data points to be useful. The most basic stuff is missing from the map.

Potentially useful, but since many people don't travel constantly all year, maybe offer a one month subscription option instead of just a 12 month.

Search is really US centric, and whatever you search, it will always present a hotel in the top search. Search Eiffel Tower, it will present two places in USA first. If you are outside McUSA use something else. And yes, I subscribed.

The free version wouldn't be good for more than a weekend trip (Max 7 destinations), anything more is behind a paywall that you can't even read because all the words are overlapping😂 I'll pass on that

App is fun and cool but you would think paying for it would unlock features you need while traveling with an RV. When I go to use the navigation portion it says they information I put in about my RV will not be used and to be aware of road signs. Why ask for my RV dimensions if you are not going to provide the best and safest road map possible.

I love this site. I prefer the website to the app to initially set up the trip. App is great for the travel portion. I have found the most unique places to stop on my trips!

Super easy to use, love that there is a free option that allows 7 way points including round trips! We've already used it several times to help us plan out our routes!

Great to plot trip. Gives add on trip suggestions that you wouldn't get elsewhere. Easy to move trip planner around, add, and remove stops. Don't leave home without ! ❤️

Aggravating experience. Have used it 4 at least 4 years and it seems to get worse. The pc version is much better but does not lend itself to use while traveling.
