Roav Charger

I had this app on my old phone. Never thought to re-download it on new one. Now my phone connects and all I get is static. Great.

Literally had this bluetooth audio car adapter for over a year. I opened the app up for the first time in a very long time (probably around a year or more) and the audio went from working great to constant interference. I do not know why just opening the app would cause this, and cannot comprehend why you would not try to fix it if others are having similar issues.

I have returned the Roav. Any open station is static. No clarity at all on any channel. I have a different 1 and was looking to replace it bc I'd hit a bump and if not positioned correctly it disconnects. I prefer that over Roav. (If I CLD remove the star... I wld)! I will say, the functions that is included wld be awesome... If it worked.

It connects perfectly with my FM radio with practically no static. Also, every time I get in my car it just automatically connects to it via Bluetooth, very reliable connection. The pause and skip functions are great. The only complaint I have about it is that when my phone connects to it, I get a notification banner that I cannot swipe to get rid of. I just had to change my notification settings to not allow it to do that. Great product, I'm loving it!

Easy to configure and works lika a charm. Broadcast is not CD quality - not sure if the problem is with my radio. The only drawback is that the button and display under the USB connectors, so they are unreachable. The solution is to twist it upside down. I guess this is what happens when devices are designed in China by high schoolers who never drove a car :)

I got a Roav F3 only a few months ago and it was working perfectly. However in this last update they removed Enhanced Mode. Now it doesn't work any more. There is a lot of radio interference in out area (Denver) and now my device is worthless. On the other hand, they did fix an issue I was having with "remember where I parked" but that's not much use if I can't use the device to connect with my car stereo

Great experience. Just a little annoyed with the "can't connect" notifications all the time when I'm not trying to use it... I'm sitting in the house and just saw it twice while typing this. Had to manually disable the notification bar one too. I don't need to know that the service is running. Your service isn't the only thing on my phone and I have an issue with software being designed as if it's the only thing that matters rather than being seemless and just working.

The connection with the FM radio is amazing and I like it, but the other service such as the app crashing is a great example. It also takes a while for the device to connect through the app while it's already connected through via Bluetooth. It also knows where was the last time you parked, if only it located accurately I could actually find my parking spot

Wrote a good review earlier. After wrestling with it not connecting, It finally did and for the trip home it sounded pretty good. Next day, constant interference and sounds dreadful. Always asking for permissions that I already gave. I really wanted it to work, but likely returning it. Too bad. Edit: 3/3/21 brought it back, was inconsistent at best, never would get a clear channel. Never really worked. Again too bad. This tech needs everything to be perfect to work apparently. Do not recommend.

Doesn't work. When I use the app to turn off the FM transmitter , the transmitter does not turn off. The app says that it's off but the transmitter is still transmitting and causing interference on all stations of my radio. Also, there doesn't seem to be any way to close out of the app. Even swiping up in the recent apps list won't shut it down. I have to force stop it from the task manager every time I'm done or it will keep running in the background.

DO NOT connect your FM transmitter to this app. If you do you will no longer be able to use it for music. My second one was working perfectly until I connected to this app! To fix, uninstall app and reset transmitter. This will allow you to once again play music. I contacted the support in regards to this issue. Hopefully they can fix it.

I'm really impressed with the device itself. I just got it, so that may change (for better or worse) with time.... however, with the app.... it constantly keeps an icon in my notifications on my phone... I HATE that.. the app is user friendly and helpful... I wish the screen was brighter on the device... but overall I like it better than trying to use my tape auxiliary cord!

This app works well. It connects fast to the device with no issue! I have the Roav Spectrum Lite and it only allows to change the color of the led ring, which is as advertised. I have a suggestion: I think it would be cool if the led ring could rotate colors, meaning that it doesn't just stay on one color. Maybe it can just change colors along the color spectrum and loop over and over. That would be cool!

Excellent bluetooth FM transmitter. You download an app that's free to use the charger. The Roav charger app does the rest. Two small issues though. The Roav app is running all the time and whatever FM channel you use,it is impossible for the Roav device to clean up the FM signal. That's just not in the Roav devices capabilities. So,if you get radio static,find another FM channel. But its very clear ,easy to use and high quality. I'm glad I spent the extra money for a great product.

sometimes it does not register the last parking, but the one before. confusing when you try to rely on this feature. other than that, works great! Feature request: when you select "automatically start music", I would suggest to have a delay before music starts (either user specified or default to like 10 seconds) to enable slow phones to properly setup btooth I have found that sometimes, the phone is not yet fully conected and the music never start unless you manually restart Bluetooth.

The device itself is great. The app never turns off though so it constantly drains your battery. The car finder is cool and all, but shouldn't be on unless I turn it on. I shouldn't have a notification on where my car is when it's in my driveway. I know it's in the driveway. You definitely need to fix this app. Wish I could use the device without the app, because the device got a 5* rating from me.

I was so excited when I got this, downloaded the app and connected it to my phone and was playing some great music. The next day, I can't connect to it. Through bluetooth, through the app. Its on and it's working, the flashing LED makes that apparent. But again and again rejects my connection attempts. I've tried unplugging and plugging back in. Deleting and redownloading the app, but now I just don't have anymore luck. Will update you 5 star when this is fixed.

Works great. After you sync it once, it reconnects as soon as you get into your car. Phone voice quality is awesome. USB charger works as fast as the wall charger. Haven't tried the memory card reader yet, with IHeart Radio, Pandora and Spotify I never run out of content. The ROAV in my 2004 Saturn works just like my 2019 Equinox. Very pleased with my purchase.

Great app but drains phone battery. Works as advertised, but could be better. Google voice doesn't work while my phone is locked while paired which defeats the purpose of using the app and the Roav charger. The app should add more permission settings. Also there needs to be an exit feature in the app to stop the service from running in the background. The only option is to pause the app or force stop it.

I didn't rate the F3 Roav Charger 5 Stars because I was disappointed in the high level of static from my car radio while playing music from You Tube or talking on the phone. Maybe the static is because of my car, but I am googling trying to remedy the problem. I am going to keep it, because its better than nothing. It has excellent set instructions. You can plug into the F3 Roav Charger using USB and SD chip, as well as blue tooth. I am still working on how to locate my car in a parking Lot.

I had a radio transmitter like this for my CD player 15 years ago, and I thought it was cool. The clarity of the sound with this charger is amazing. It's very easy to use. My car was just a little too old to have a blutooth or auxiliary port, so when my CD player bit the dust, I was stuck listening to the radio. Now I can use all of my streaming options, and it sounds perfect!

I would love the app but for one annoyance: I cannot change the Bluetooth name of my Roav devices. I have a Halo in each of my cars. One of them is "8A77" and the other is "8D05." Why can't I rename one "Pilot" and the other "Accord," which I can do with every other Bluetooth device I use? It makes me nervous when an app lacks a basic feature like that.
