Robinhood - Free Stock Trading

I wish they would change statements to highlight total deposits & withdrawls. I don't like scrolling through the list of transactions to verify each separately. I like the app. I don't like the stack of note cards that need to swiped through. A curated list to scroll through would be much better. Swiping a dozen times a day, through news cards that are irrelevant to me is dumb. I wonder what they're trying to accomplish with the stories they choose to feature.

Very user-friendly, so it's good for beginners, but the lack of indicators is a handicap if you know what you're doing (some are available on the desktop app, though). You can counter this by downloading Trading View. It's free and allows for up to 5 indicators, which is plenty. Lvl 2 is way too expensive, and the crypto selection is far too small. Transfers to wallets, premarket earlier than 30 minutes before open and more than 2 hours after close would be cool, too. Still, lots of potential.

Good app for beginners. Pretty good tickers, watchlist and interface in general. When you get serious in investing, the app lacks the important features. Cost basis is FIFO, instead of interface to select the stock for cost basis. You end up paying a lot in taxes for gains, and lose opportunity to offset your losses. Morning star reports are precise but it of no use. Overall Gain/loss amount has bugs. Option bid numbers has bugs. Transfer out fee is high.

It's a really good app for bare bones trading, but light on deeper information. My biggest beef is that the graphs have no labels; they are essentially meaningless. One graph depicting a tiny change can appear more dramatic than one showing a large change because everything is scaled to fit without markings to tell the reader what they're looking at. Yes, you can mouse over points to get the coordinates, but you can't compare things easily, because every graph has a different y scale.

I still hate the new layout. I have to search high and low to see how dividends. Dividends used to be listed after expected date announced, now they are buried deep in settings. I need to back out of so many pages. Used to be easy. I dont need a photo of myself in the profile. I dont need a breakdown of my investments. Bury that in the app, not the "go to" stuff. Also, they need to offer beneficiary for TOD. Sketchy that it's not offered. STASH does!!

I LOVE the user interface. wicked easy to use! would be better if they changed the placement of the "limit buy/sell" feature. for instance, when you hit "trade", if "limit orders" was a selection right there, that would be better. Another issue i have isn't exactly Robinhood's fault. there's a slight bandwidth issue. sometimes, things move a little slow and the shown price of the stock is lagging behind the real-time value. so if they could increase the speed somehow, that'd be great too.

Beautiful interface, slick and easy to use. My only complaints are: the transfer functionality (cash in/cash out) has been buried in the settings menu and difficult to find. Not easy to see aggregated info on dividends (have to tally them up manually on paper). With the service itself, there are some securities that were once available to purchase and now restricted. I can still purchase them with competitors like Fidelity (what gives, Robinhood?).

Overall ok trading experience. Fairly easy to use, hard to really get info apart from pretty graphs with few labels. But they're hyper touchy around their image more than their quality. They somehow deleted my review about not being unable to disable crypto notifications. I found a way to do it in app, which is good and solves my annoyance, but the fact remains that the notifications were still miscategorized and I couldn't disable them via Android system UI like I should have been able to.

The use of this app is nothing more then a product to provide companies with our data. None stop ads every day. Actual useful information is little to none. Most "article" are just ads in disguise. Only until Robinhood provide options to opt out of all the behind the scenes data collection and turn off ads will this be worth of 2 plus stars.

Clean UI. Few clicks to actually use/invest on platform. Consistently offering more and more ways for the non-#bth population. EX: stocks, crypto, ewallet, pre-ipo, options, and more that I probably haven't stumbled across yet. The fees are reasonable. Not the best analysis or visualization tools, but there are plenty of other players who provide detailed analysis. Only item on my wishlist would be to add algorithmic trading similar to what other platforms offer.

Decent app but I can't set up direct deposit with the first option because it won't show the account and routing numbers. It teases like they're there but they're not. In the app they just show as blank and on the website they show as dots, even if I choose the "Show" link. I thought the lastest update might address the issue, but nope. What's going on?

The recent update and.. 'your application is under review' and got me locked into my positions WITHOUT the option to SELL, so I best be compensated. I've had this for years seeing all the improvements since 2016. Been continously disappointed when it comes to contacting support too and now this locked in positions I'm forced to hold with losses surmounting. Give me solutions

After using the account for 2 years with same phone number (registered), the app suddenly does not recognize the number. There is no alternate method to authenticate, not even via the registered email address. Locked out of account for almost 24 hours, can't make any trades! The support team needs more than 12 hours to confirm the phone number. Disappointed!

The charts are misleading and don't show volume or have any analysis tools. Also not enough information about your positions is available at a given time unless you adjust the settings. On the positive side it i very easy to transfer money in and out the account.

Pretty good app so far. As a beginner, I'm pretty happy with the functionality. The only thing I would like to see so far is a more detailed candlestick chart like the desktop version has. The ability to view the MACD RSI and moving averages are really helpful as I learn more about predicting market movements. I currently move between the browser and the app on my phone to get the whole picture but it bogs down my device and is Ultima a very slow and inefficient process.

This new update doesn't allow me to view all the percentages my various holdings are in a pie chart format or really any meaningful way at all. I now have to scroll through my entire list and hope I can pick out the right investment types when trying to reallocate funds. I feel like it took a step backwards for the new Galaxy devices. Not sure if iPhone users have lost functionality.

I know there have been some issues with the app where it freezes during important trading times, etc. But I have used this app for over 3 years and I love it, 99.9 percent of the time it works great. It is much easier to use them vanguard or Coinbase, etc. Although vanguard has better customer service (Robinhood does not have customer service). No complaints.

I can't compare Robinhood to alternatives, but overall it feels to me like they are out to deceive. Granted, trading is likely more complicated than what they set out to present, but the problem is when things don't turn out the way their "trading tutorials" suggest they should. Then you contact customer support and they give some explanation that contains some nebulous "policy" that it is impossible to incorporate into your trading strategy. Going to try an alternative.

I love this app. I can very easily make trades. Some may say too easy, but it works for me. I like being able to see everything I want on one screen & can change views as I like. I have more than one brokerage account, but I trade most heavily on this one. This is my go-to app. There is plenty of education, which I like. I get quick responses from customer service when needed. There's something I'd like to see changed. If I sell at a loss, I'd rather not get Yay, Woohoo, or Awesome - it's not.

Great yet dismal. The interface is great and it's easy to use but their practices are not up front. They'll take control of how you spend your money with little to no warning. With a goal of democratization, they do poorly at that. Unfortunately you can't separate the app interface from the broker so beware with this.

It's a good app, I'll keep using, it's very simple and straight to the point and can tell you more about the more advanced stuff, only thing I had a problem with is the relevency of the price of stock, has only happend once so far but its still a problem, you'll see a price of a stock at 6.65 and purchase $400 worth only to find out the price was actually $7.12, wasn't a price fluctuation either, it still said 6.65, other than that I like it, and recommend it

This app is really helpful in that they break down a lot of the terminology that accompanies investing, trading, and the like. They have tons of articles and bubbles and things that are easy to digest and make it easy to understand the basics. For a more advanced investor, this may not be the best choice for you, but if you're just learning about this stuff, like me, I think it's a really great tool for building your first portfolio! 👍

Each update the trends in my watchlist load slower and slower. The app lags and hangs a little more each update as well. It doesnt matter what new features there are or are added if the app is a resource hog and doesnt run well.

I've had it since Dec 2019. I've tried several other apps and this one is the easiest. It's fun to use. If you use LIMIT buys/sells you buy/sell exactly at the price you want whenever it gets there. If you get a pro account which is only $5/mo I think they even lend you money. I doubled my money in a year. Of course now, May 2022, most gains are gone but I see it as a buying opportunity.

The app is pretty easy to use and understand. It does have a video game feel to it, but that is what is going to make the user more interested than listening to some fancy media head babblering with a political angle suggesting they know it all. When they don't. Do your own research. Trust your instincts. Embrace your chance to get it right for yourself.

The web and mobile version has lot of discrepancies especially in the history page. We opened almost 4 tickets since last 2 years but it looks like they do not have any plan to fix it.
