This is a great app, however nobody can tell me why, when connected to Bluetooth and I receive an incoming call, music pauses. (Android) I set my phone to do not disturb but it still happens with each call. Being an OTF coach, this is extremely frustrating when the room goes silent, during class. I've tried other music apps and they continue playing, when receiving calls, it's definitely RMR specifically.
Very unhappy about not being able to unsubscribe without emailing customer service. Ive used RMR on and off for a while but lately it just keeps droppi g the music while Im in the middle of coaching a class. Which is rouch cueing to give it your all and then the music crashes and I have to exit the app to get it to restart. The mixes are great but the quality is going downhill.
I use to love rockmyrun. Had great mixes and was free with ads. I had to download it again after I got a new phone. So now Iam required to sign up for a "free trial" and add credit card information. No matter what I have to go out of my way to cancel the subscription. I don't mean to be rude. But that's trash. You had such a great app. What a waste
This used to be a good app and I liked it but now its irritating that the app won't let me look at the order of the songs and it will only allow me 6 skips per hour. I'm paying for this so I need unlimited skips and I want to view the order of the songs!
The service has potential, but the app has too many bugs and is somewhat outdated. It would drastically drain my battery and I ultimately didn't like that it's not compatible with Android Auto.
Same as other recent users reviews, I am paying for the premium membership but all of a sudden, now I can no longer skip more than 5 times within HOURS and can't even see the playlist in its entirety? Will this be fixed? If not then definitely not worth any amount of money for a subscription.
NOT FREE. First screen asked me whether I wanted to buy the monthly subscription or the yearly one. I don't mind paying for an app, but tell me up front, not after I download it and give you my info!
Using the app for long distance running and it's great with the variety of songs in the BPM I need to maintain a good pace. I'm giving it 4 stars because there is an issue with audio ducking. Every 15 minutes, the ad to upgrade will run. Which is fine, given I'm using the free version. The problem is that when it lowers the music volume to run the ad, there's a 50-50 chance that the audio won't go back to its previous volume when the ad is done. It'll stay that way until I stop running, restart the app, and skip the the part where the issue occurred. It gets really frustrating when I'm 45 minutes into a run and this happens. This is an easy fix and I hope the development team takes this bug seriously, as most of the users probably have the free version.
This is and used to be a brilliant app for running to. Great music to choose from and tempo settings are fantastic. Perfect. Everything was great but after coming back to it in the New Year after injury, it didn't work no matter what I did. I contacted the developer and was told, rather curtly, that it doesn't work in the UK. No explanation - so Rockstar why not? And will it be again soon? Annoyingly it's stil available to download on the app store.... Really disappointed
I was in search of an app that had great running music after I got sick of the repeats on my other app. This was rated in top 5 so I had to try it and I'm so glad I did. I like the smooth transitions between songs and the mixes keep you pumped. There's seems to be something for everyone. I haven't listened to a mix yet where I wanted to skip a song. And I love the option to have the tempo change based on your pace. This is definitely a keeper and I will be subscribing.
Used to LOVE this app. Not happy that we suddenly can't skip more than a few songs due to "licensing"? Also really unhappy about not being able to download playlists. Useless if at the gym or anywhere without WiFi access as I am sure nobody wants to use up all their data. Also super buggy, constantly buffering and doesn't work for more than a few seconds with my bluetooth headphones (not sure why as the same thing doesn't happen with other music apps). Overall no longer happy with this app. EDIT: app no longer available outside of the US, but I was still charged for the service. Yes, I will be getting a refund but this would explain why the app was no longer working for me.
Even with paid a membership, you cannot skip to a particular song in the playlist. You can only skip to the next song. Also you cannot see a playlist from the app, only from a tablet. Extremely annoying! UPDATE: Due to "licensing" you are no longer able to see a playlist even from an iPad. Ashley, there is no need for me to waste my time emailing, as other people have already received the answer. Uninstalling.
I truly like (not love) the app. Have had it for a long time, but two things consistently happen. It devours my battery if I don't pay attention to if any other apps are running. Also, I am unable to pause play without having to stop my run, pull out my mobile and restart the music. It's just those two things that cause me to not use it. Otherwise, the playlists are fantastic.
It was a five star app. Then they removed music downloading (without notifying us!). So now I have to use up my limited data. I also can't use it on certain paths because of spotty LTE. It cut out in the middle of a run which is how I figured out it was always streaming now. I will not be renewing this year. I'll just copy my own music and use an app to adjust the speed. It was good while it lasted.
Pros: great to have a continuous beat to run to, some of the playlists are really great and fun. Cons: the app changes volume when it advertises to you, which it does every 10 minutes, and about every 4th time this happens the volume doesn't return to full volume and i have to quit and restart the app mid-run, which is super distracting and annoying. Also, there aren't enough playlists at the right pace for running - most are under 140 which is far too slow. I'd upgrade if not for these things.
I really like the app. I just wish it worked a little better with my other app (Zombies Run!). I have to continuously hit play unlike with YouTube which automatically restarts after the storyline ends. Also there is at least one playlist that for some reason doesn't work for me. I have tried multiple times to play it but I hear nothing.
Keeps crashing after about 20 min. I loved this app about 3 years ago until I took a break from jogging. I was extremely excited to reinstall it and get started again last week. However, 2 out of 2 times it's crashed after about 20 min. Completely useless if it does this. I will keep trying through my trial but if it keeps this up, I will have to look elsewhere.
Great App and I use it all the time. 2 things tho. 1. You can't really organize your Playlists once you get a lot. It would be awesome if they could add a folder system(but their customer service doesn't think that's necessary) 2. You should be near WiFi because you can't download the Playlists sadly. Other than that I love the app
I use this app for work. I tried to use my own device for work, but for some reason the app won't let me login with my Google Play account through my PC. Also , on the app, sometimes it keeps repeating just the first song and won't let me adjust the BPMs. It stays open on my phone even when I'm not using it and drains the battery. I love the concept, but wish it wasn't so buggy. Honestly, If I didn't have to use it for work I'd probably just use Spotify. The only advantage that this app has over Spotify at the moment is that you can adjust the BPM for running. In every other aspect, Spotify is superior,
Love the app and it is great music and easy to use. you really do have to pay for it to use it at all because music is constantly interrupted making you have to pay. So there is no free option witch is fine but trying to figure out how to pay is a pain in the but. Can't find account after making one or no easy way to get in app and pay. have to go though some hoops to pay.
I bought a subscription because I'm a fitness coach. I think the playlists are great, but the app will randomly run on its own. I forced the app to stop, and 5 minutes later it has popped back up and running in the background on my phone. You can't close the app, which kills your battery. You also can't skip more than 6 songs in an hour, which I'm definitely not a fan of.
I've liked a lot of the mixes they offer, but often had problems with the app not recognizing wifi on my ipod. I figured it was an older model so switched to my android phone. That either crashes 40-50% of the time or flat out won't play music even though the clock is running. I was going to go back to my ipod only to discover I can't save new mixes. Each update seems to make things worse.
I really like the music on the app and I am giving it a trial run for a month without commercials. However, I have a S9 and the app keeps running in the background even when I close it. It then keeps prompting me to force stop the app even though I have and it wont play music for more than 5 seconds after I select force stop. I have uninstalled the app and reinstalled several times but it keeps happening.
After the update and on my new S9 this app has no off button, so it is always running in the background. Force stopping doesn't really work and is a pain. It restarts on its own... Otherwise I like the music. Update: they reached out with instructions to Uninstall and reinstall the app. This did not help. They requested phone details. I hope they add a "turn off" button..
I paid for the premium version and it all of the sudden is treating me like i am a basic member. Can't skip more than a few songs per hour, can't see the setlist for a playlist. Been paying for years. Edit: there is no reason we should be paying the same price with less benefit and features just because licensing agreements changed for this app
