Roguelike Classics

From the creators of the Android version of Angband come these classic roguelike games: Rogue, Moria and Larn. Rogue, developed in 1980, is an ASCII-based dungeon exploration role-playing game (RPG). Larn is one of the first roguelike games to feature a persistent home level. Moria applies the same game-play themes to a game based on the books of J.R.R.Tolkien.

No explanation as to how to switch between games. Clunky android keyboard takes up a third of the screen in portrait view in addition to shrinking the game screen so much I have to squint even on a giant edge+. Landscape offers a nice zoomed in view but your stats have to be scrolled to after every action and the keyboard becomes inaccessible. All in all a terrible port.

I like the game a lot (even with the crude at times vkeyboard).Excellent work.Together with the equally brilliant "random anventure"are my favourite roguelike games so far.

The keyboard interface doesn't translate well to touchscreen play, but this is a good and functional port of some fun classics.

This is just as great as the original. Same ruthless and unforgiving game play. It's perfect!

Love this game. Just like the original Mines of Moria. Question: is there a town to buy supplies?

Either you love it, or don't get it. I like this better than the original because it automatically labels scrolls/potions when you drink the first one. I just beat the game for the second time in my life (been playing since 1984) and when i started it up again i had my old character,- it was like i never finished. This happen to anyone else? I hope it resets, but for now i think i will go down

Image much too small and skewed to the side of the screen, nothing like the screenshot. Uninstalled.

Umoria play is just as I remember - I still can't beat it. Excellent! Dammit.

Controls are great with both a physical keyboard and digital keyboard.

How do I use the bow and arrows?

Moria is one of my all time faborites starting with the VAX version. However, the screen layout on the DROID X2 just doesn't work. 2 for effort.

Great fun to play these old classics again. Performs very well on Nexus S once you get your head around the controls again lol Thank you for keeping these great games alive :)

Flawless play on a Droid 2 using the physical keyboard. Awesome!

It's nice to play an old classics, however it's a poor android port. The controls are terrible, getting help (how to switch games?...) is virtually nonexistent and it's a matter of trial and error. Even a roguelike classic can be ported to smartphone without spoiling the original "magic". This did it wrong.

Awesome to see, I used to play these while I was a Xenix network admin, waiting for large files to transfer across our 10 mb network
