Roku Remote

in order to use the private listening you have to download a completely diff app and when you tap download on the poput all it does is send you to an page on the internet with ZERO info on the app and no ability to even download the damm thing, private listening is 100% the ONLY reason im tryin to find an actual functioning roku app that does what it says it will do, which this doesnt, like ALL the other trash apps

Developer quickly fixed the one (minor) issue I had AND notified me when they did. Would like to see a feature to just go to the remote section on open and maybe a quick device select in the remote section for paired device's if more than 1 is paired, but that's a wish-list, not a problem.

I'm searching for audio output in remote searching every app instead of official roku app i found it on this it's good if they provide audio plug-in by default you have to go the link provided in it then you can connect your roku tv connected via Bluetooth. Great 👍🏻

This app actually works, the official app does not and that baffles me! What a great alternative to the buggy Roku app, no account needed, no troubleshooting and disconnections.

I am very pleased with this app for my roku infact it is way better then the original. This one easy to use, the volume at first I thought was not working but in fact it did you have to press the volume button a few on off kind of thing (I am probably not discribing it the best way) you will notice each time you hit the button it goes down one notch at a time and I can turn my TV off with this remote so impressed. I am very please. Also no problem connecting.

some features not working. Headphone doesn't work and the rewind 5 to 10 second button that's at the lower left does nothing. I know these can work since they work on other apps I've tried. Wish it could default to "Remote" tab when launching app instead of "Device's" tab, more redundant steps. since I got the LG v35 this app looks stretched taller a bit.

Definitely the best roku remote app I've used so far. I like that the power button is able to wake my tv from sleep mode, and that it doesn't need to reconnect when the app is closed or left in the background. Great replacement for the remote I immediately lost after buying my tv.

I tried this ap to replace a remote for a Roku Streaming Stick 3500R (circa 2014). It's excellent. Functions better than the remote with no ads. I was also able to link it to a Streaming Stick on a second TV. Both sets were previously connected to my WiFi. I read the reviews for several aps before choosing this one. Five stars!

Fantastic app! Easy to see and navigate. The private listening plug-in works perfectly with no audio distortions. Highly recommended! Bravo to the app developers for doing what Roku still has issues with.

Downloaded this because the private listening function on the official Roku remote app is junk and no other apps seem to have this feature. So I was excited to see in the pictures that the private listening button was there, but sadly when I downloaded this app and connected to my TV there was no private listening button or any way to enable it.

Thank you for this remote!! I'm not very financially stable, I must use my phone's hotspot to watch TV. Considering my Remote broke, this is the only app that allows you to use your hotspot to work the Remote. All the other remotes WiFi only! Stupid! Want to stay #1? Find a way for it to work without WiFi or Hotspot. You'll dominate! P.S. Even if i didn't need my hotspot i would still use this remote. Much better, faster than the rest. The response time is incredible, "Real Remote Quality"!

I would rate this app a 10/5, if possible, to offset all the stupid people that have given low stars due to their ignorance of how the Roku system works! I may be ignorant, too, in some things, but I try not to give bad reviews based on my ignorance. Anyway, this app is perfect for replacing the official Roku app, even adding an "Off" button. I don't know if the "Off" button works for all Roku models or TVs, but it works for my Stick 3800 on a Sony XBR65X800G. The only reason I see for using the official Roku app instead would be if you want to watch the Roku Channel on your device. This app (total) is only 30MB installed (13MB RoMote+17MB Private Listening) vs 54MB for the current official Roku app. Also, Private Listening works well on my Pixel 3a XL. It's a great app!

Just what I was looking for. Works as well if not better than the original Roku remote widget (removed for some reason). I'd straight up pay if we can get more app features working on the widget (volume, channel buttons). Great work 👍

Better than official Roku remote by far. More responsive and quicker to open and switch among multiple devices. Latest update displays the friendly name of the device, too. Open source with no ads and no nags.

Bill Seeman is a genius. Free(seriously),functional,simple as can be. I've paid good money for apps that bombarded you with adds and still didn't work. Big Purple R is add free and can switch from one device to another without issue. The fact that the same app can work with so many generations of Roku, as well as any TV, I can't say enough. Well done Mr. Seeman, I am in your debt

The most stable app on the market. The official Roku app constantly loses connection (half a dozen times a day). So fsr this app has not lost connection once. The widget is stable too. While this app is free I would be willing to pay for it.

I lost my remote so I downloaded this app. It works perfectly, then, I seen that it has an option to find your remote. I was so excited to find my remote, to only find out that the option DOESN'T EVEN WORK! Please fix, I need that remote. Thank you

Doesn't scale for the new wider phone screens. Would be 5 stars if it did. Otherwise it's a fine roku remote replacement that doesn't disconnect every time your phone screen turns off.

This app was really great, perfect in fact... apparently an update broke it. The app no longer works on Netflix .. I installed another roku remote and it's working fine and here I thought it was Netflix that was messed up.

So far, this is the only Roku remote app that works on my Chromebook. It is also the best one that I've tried. It immediately saw my tv, and can even wake it from sleep mode. I am very pleased.

Big buttons, no ads, works with roku sticks (all versions) so thank you for a nearly perfect app! I only say nearly because nothing is perfect but i have no complaints.

I like this app, a bit ago one of my niece's broke the original roku remote, so I had to use this, the only thing that I don't like about it is something out of your control, you need wifi to use it, and my wifi is kind of wacky, but yeah, five stars, it works really well

I have used this app for over a year for headphone function. Since the update, all it does it cut in and out and it's so annoying. Please fix this issue
