*Fair To-do's-Rotate tasks fairly between roommates, and track when things were last done. Tasks can be assigned when needed or on a recurring schedule.
*Who Owes Who-Split expenses and bills, and quickly see your balance with each roommate.
*Reminders and Records-Be reminded when it's your turn, and get alerts when things get done. For each task, Roof will show you who's up next and who's done it in the past.

I want so badly to give this app 5 stars. It was so useful in keeping my roommates and I accountable and I love the simple, easy to use interface. However, I can no longer check tasks as done under my name. My roommates seem to not have this problem and it used to work, but now wen I select a task to check as Done, the option disappears? So I can't check anything. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times to no avail. Very, very frustrating, and I don't know how to fix it! :(
This app is really helpful! It's not perfect--there are certain functions it lacks and sometimes the app won't load, but overall it has really helped my roommates and I. Best features: being able to mark home supplies in and out of stock, assigning chores to roommates on a schedule, and most importantly: being able to see a record of who bought what and who did what chore last (and a full history). It will help keep you and your roommates accountable!
Changed my rating! Thank you for your prompt reply! I was in the process of emailing you, but today the app signed me out and when I signed back in the issue I had was completely fixed! For a 5* rating, I would suggest changing how shopping lists are viewed. I would rather have a clear stocked/restock tabs than an infinite scroll of a timeline that has both lists in one feed.
I honestly love this app in concept, but it has many bugs and poor coding to be looked into. As of currently the app has not been updated to work with the latest android update meaning I cannot do something as marking a reminder as completed.
Messaged them months ago about a bug in the Android app; they basically said "yeah we know, but we're not going to fix it, because we have better plans". Apparently that "better plan" is to shut down all operations, not notify anyone via the app, continue to allow people to sign up (days before shutting down), etc. Guess they got the VC money they wanted, and it's time to run.
I love this app. My roommate and I use it and it is awesome. I pay all the expenses in my household then my roommate pays me back we really like the log aspect of this app. If we have an issue I have emailed them and they solve it right away. I am very impressed.
This app seems super useful my roommates and I are excited by it! The only feature we wish was on here was a calendar... some way we can easily communicate our work schedules so we know who will be home when.
Without this app, I my roommates and I would not be able to put up with each other. If you live with others, you NEED this app! Always working to fix bugs and make the app even better than it is!
The support team at roof app are great! They immediately addressed my issue! Also, this app makes managing a house with roommates much easier. Highly recommended!
No intuitive at all, the kind of app that may need a manual, which is dumb.
Very buggy app, also did not recieve Otp, plus to resend otp we need to reenter the phone number

Just downloaded but has said "joining" for the last 10 minutes. Would love to check it out.
Great concept, but poorly coded and with many bugs. When trying to do simple tasks such as add an item to the shopping list, I get errors from the source code talking about the operation failing to return a string or having a missing value.
This app is good for nothing!!! I have never seen this app run on my, or my roommates', Android phone. We have our garbage bin unattended for a week, because no one can figure out whose turn it is.
Push notifications not working on Android 8.1. Makes the app less than useful.
Cannot add a house because I don't have a valid 'zip code' - we don't all live in America...

Contacted support regarding the privacy (not sure why there needs to be an option, never mind why the default is 'public'), got some BS response with a how-to that didn't make it past the first step because the first step is wrong. Contacted them again to let them know this to find another solution, and report a few other issues... got silence. It's been over a week now. We decided against using this app for our house. It lacks in so many ways and just kind of shows a running tab without the functionality described. The lack of support sealed the deal. Run away from this app!!
The app is pretty great from what I have used for it so far. However I feel the lack of push notifications is the biggest flaw ive seen in the app. If there was push notifications telling people what task they have to do. That addition would move my rating to a 5 star
I like the web app thus far, it would be great to get a sense when the Android version will be available again.
"Offline" with a message to check their website for more info. I did but there was no info on when the app will be available. Why is this still listed in Play? Don't appreciate my time being wasted with the download and trying to figure out what's going on, all for nothing
Good in theory but the scheduling of tasks keeps being way off, seems to be no rhyme or reason behind why one thing keeps assigning to the same person over and over while another one just randomly deactivates or schedules itself 3 days late. It's like a good app got drunk or something.
I can't edit roommates involved in the tasks after they're created. Pretty frustrating.
Now Dirt Boy cant avoid bills or lose money we gave him for the cable!
This app has been really helpful for managing tasks and especially splitting money with my roommates. A really easy to use app.
Should use Facebook login but good solid app!
I'm using this right now to handle splitting costs for moving into a new apartment. So far so good. But, the UX could be better. Namely, there should be a "Remember Me" feature so I don't have to sign in everytime after quitting the app. Also, for selecting who paid for it, I think it's safe to say that the default should be the logged in user. Some additional features I'd like to see in future releases would be an integrated/scheduled payment method (venmo, paypal, direct deposit, etc) &photo attachments.
It's impossible to turn notifications off. I turned them off repeatedly when we were still trying to use the app last year. Months later I'm still getting them daily. I logged on and turned them off and I STILL get a text daily. Since it's a text, it doesn't matter that I've deleted the app, but you should also know that push notifications are turned on automatically, and I'll bet you can't turn those off either.
