RoomMate - Manage your life together

More than 4 days ago a I made an account on this app and I am still not able to search for a room. I always got the same message: ,,soon,,.

So the app works exactly as advertised, which is great. The things it does it does well. However a few features are missing that would really improve the user experience. When checking off things on the shopping list, I would want to be able to immediately have the option to add them as an expense. An option to cross off chores as done even if it's not ones turn, therefore ones next turn being skipped would also make things a lot easier. Plus a dark mode :)

It's a good app but still has some issues. There's a bug where I can't leave an old "space" even though there's no more people/expenses/etc associated to it. Would also be good to have a choice to independently log in the chores being done, without a turn rotation system necessary (i.e. if I sweep twice and my roommate once, then me again, her twice, etc)

Overall our household is finding this app very useful and we have been using it for many months. However the last update seems to have caused a few chores to get stuck displaying the current turn incorrectly. (ie. Displays as the wrong housemate's turn) I have also noticed that the due date for some chores seems to display incorrectly on the chore summary page, but is correct when you enter the chore itself. Will update score once these issues are resolved.

I tried a whole bunch of apps before running into this one. It was the only one with all of the features we needed and no bugs. I wish it had a calendar view, or that the history of chores done showed from most recent to the least recent instead. Aside from that, pretty useful.

Overall works well for its intended us and has been quite helpful keeping the organization better. App itself does have a few bugs (like some random descriptions in French that can't be changed or not having the notifications controls come up), but other than that, it has been a huge help in our house.

I in general love the app- great set-up, layout etc, HOWEVER time and time again I'm having issues with my android version which my housemate does not appear to have. My chores page sometimes semi-loads, or takes forever to load, the latest expenses were not displayed... it's becoming very frustrating as we don't want to have to leave this app but when it's functionality fails... :( Please have a look at fixing the android issues pretty please!

We use it for chores, but you can't set specific dates for when you want them done. When you select a week interval, it's due on Sunday automatically. That's not helpful for things like taking the trash to the curb when it comes on Tuesday and needs done by Monday. Would also be nice to add a description box to chores, rather than just the title. Outline what all should be done for the Bathroom chore in a box below the title. I would increase the rating if this functionality was changed.

Easy to add expenses and chores. The shared shopping list doesn't work properly, and we often lose edits and entries. Groceries added by one roommate will not appear to the other, and making a change to the list will remove all items added by the other. Needs better synchronisation.

I like it! It really helps me split up housework with my fiance and the shared grocery list and bill tracker are great too. I wish you could pay for a premium version to get rid of ads instead of having to invite two people though. I also wish you could assign a shared chore to two people at once for example, we both clean our pet cages together. Overall its super cute and highly functional.

I just started using the app. I think it has great potential. I have been using splitwise and this is something more than that. I would love if there was a way to split and assign bills and be able to split unequally. Also dedicated Rent option.

Hello RoomMate team! Me and my flatmates love your app! We started using it a month ago and are all moving together next week. Can't wait to try all the functionalities! That being said, we think it would be a great improvement to have a group calendar included in the app. Somewhere to add diners, parties and all! Just to let the roomies know what you're doing or to remind them you're having friends over or planing a nice lasagna diner if they want to join :) We would love to use that tool!

Only got the app for chores. It was passably functional but not exactly what we wanted. We had lots of little issues but no deal breakers. Used to be I could only open the chores tab once then I'd have to completely close out of the app if I wanted the chores tab to load a second time. As of late the chores tab won't even load anymore so I'm looking for a replacement now.

Pros: freemium and range of features. Cons: some features don't work and there's zero support. Unintuitive UX and not very pretty design.

App was very useful to begin with, but has recently stopped working for all of the housemates. Very frustrating after investing a lot of time in setting up routines.

This app is very useful for knowing who's turn it is to do which chore. One thing that I wish it had is, when you're setting the frequency, a 'customise' option for chores that need to be done more often than every week!

I really enjoy the app it's really useful to keep roommates as well as myself on schedule with the chores we need to do. With the inclusion of the ability to kick old roommates out this app is definitely worth 5 stars.

No customer support whatsoever. If you want to delete your account or request a copy of your data, you have to email them and they won't respond -- which is clearly in breach of the GDPR rules they claim to be in compliance with. I've contacted them on four separate occasions, and their main Gmail account has yet to send a reply back. Imagine if you pay for premium and run into an issue? It would be a nightmare trying to get ahold of someone.

not intuitive. doesn't drag assign roommates to a chore when I try. gave up. Yes I tried long pressing, that's a typical thing to do with smart phones...

It is half in English half in Spanish. Also, the info button is just an empty modal. I'd pull it and post it back up when it is complete.

After the update, I couldn't find my roommate group. But I could still see me in another mate's app who didn't update it yet..can you please fix this. Edit: 9/10/2020 It's working now! Thanks for the work around through the support.

Best App for Shared Living. Very Handy, easy to use, everything you need and works like a Charm. This is my first review ever. Had to do it because I really appreciate the work they have done with this app.

Just installed it. There should be an option to select the payer while adding the expense. and also unequal addition of contribution.

Its a nice app and the way team backing thier app is very good, thanks guys for changing the app language as of you said earlier. There is a long way to use this.. i will keep in touch.

I love this app. Its great app for shared apartments. But if they make the app to send notifications for turns as a reminder that will make it the best app amongst all.

It won't let me change my profile icon and I've tried on two different phones. Edit: Problem is fixed. Thank you to the devs for your response.

Interesting app. However chore frequency seems to be limited only to 1, 2 or 4 weeks. No custom frequency option available
