Root Call Blocker Pro
Unlike other call filters, RCB silently blocks calls and messages at a system level. You need not even know its working and can choose to be notified only if specific numbers are blocked. It doesn't need to be set it as a default messaging app to block SMS.

99% of "it stopped working" errors are caused by timed out root requests after auto-updates, to use this app together with auto-update in Play, you MUST disable re-authentication or click "remember" in your superuser app, or you will keep losing root and breaking daemon function.
WARNING
- THIS APP DOESN'T BLOCK IP TRAFFIC
- you cannot use it with WiFi or LTE calling enabled. So called "enhanced messaging" is also not supported.
Before communicating an issue always perform a clean install
- UNINSTALL, REBOOT, INSTALL FROM PLAY, ENABLE DEBUGGING and test with one number WITHOUT RESTORING YOUR BACKUP DATA. Keep in mind that rebooting wipes the daemon log making many bug reports useless.
This app does not control your voicemail service. If your blocked calls are being sent to voice mail, try another blocking method or use Google Voice. You can simulate a disconnected message by forwarding busy calls to a number that doesn't exist.

1. Create a list. Set this list to use "Reject" as the blocking method.
2. Go to your phone app settings, there is usually an advanced subsection. Inside you will find call forwarding.
3. Click "forward when busy" and input a number that you know is currently disconnected (perhaps an old number of yours) or just one that's not in use.
The downside is that the standard drop call swipe will now also redirect to this dead number.
Permissions:
OUTGOING CALL permissions are needed for hidden mode, using the phone's dialer to enter a password.
ACCOUNTS are needed for Google Contact Groups and Backup.
SEND SMS needed for auto replies.
INTERNET ACCESS is for licensing and the "Send report" tool.
LOG DATA only sent with your permission via the "Write to us" menu item in Settings.

Used to be great. Now limited with Oreo 8.1 as stated by dev. Call blocking no longer functions with latest update. Cannot hide persistent notification icon. Revert to version 2.6.3.4
Unfortunately, now that I've upgraded my phone to Android Oreo, I can't use this app anymore. I don't think I'll be able to get a refund either, as I bought this so long ago. Oh well, it was a great app while it lasted.
Unable to add numbers or text from logs on Galaxy Tab S2. This option was removed after the latest update. I'm using Pro Version.
What a load of tosh should be pulled from the store. It doesn't work, and I guess you no that, pull it and stop ripping ppl off for work you did years ago.
The best root blocker
Other reviewer is correct this does not do anything on Oreo 8.1 no calls are blocked. Reverting to 2.6.3.4 it will send them to voicemail as intended. Galaxy Note 9
this thing keeps requesting internet access... really shady and annoying. call blocker don't need to use my internet data which I pay for.
I have root call blocker installed and put numbers on my black list and the app is not blocking the numbers or texts. I'm using a rooted pixel
As soon as I installed this I started getting obnoxious phone calls, you should be responding to people that purchase your product this is concerning
Fantastic app. I'm always receiving spam calls and this stops then without bugging me. Can't wait till it hopefully works 100% like it did before for root!
With support of Magisk, I am able install this, even with the fact that no root is supported on Android O (not the dev's fault), it is great to have this app back on my phone!
Added another star as the author is now accurately describing the app. Ie: on Oreo this app does not block smses. Sadly I will be uninstalling, my use case was that in my country I had not managed to find an app that blocked some types of sms spam I recieve :( the app hunt begins again...
For anyone looking for a solution to block calls without seeing the incoming call screen, I suggest "Should I answer?" app. It asks you to set it as the default phone app and amazingly blocks every call without any lag whatsoever (no root) and it doesn't launch itself when you click phone or anything like that. This app doesn't work, and the developer isn't really happy with our feedback. I paid for it pretty much with the hope that one day it'll work, but I dunno, 'should I Answer' works for me in the meantime.

Ok I got rid of my Note 3 and note 4! I bought another Note 1 (international). Running custom stock GB with multiple tweaks! SuperSU Pro is in charge. UPDATE: no longer works. No idea what changed. So i tried other apps but this is the best app in terms of options and its feature. The people you have blocked wont even know it because on their side the phone call wont ring, it just doesnt connect therefore they wouldnt even think theyre being blocked. Its worth the money as it gives you the peace of mind. Ill always be with Android for the next foreseeable years and so its a good investment. Thanks!
Loved this app but now doesn't work with nougat and seems that the dev has developed quite the attitude instead of supporting his apps. I suggest you remove your apps from the store if you don't want to support them anymore.
Don't purchase this app. It doesn't work anymore and the developer doesn't plan to fix it or support it while being snarky to people who bought it and complain the app they paid 8 USD for is completely useless. Should be taken down tbh
Doesn't work on nougat. Non-blocked calls don't come through any more. Missed texts. Nothing solves this. Been a great app for many years but no longer
Update 2. Worthless on Nougat. ****update**** still not working, tried the below solution several times. Hi, since the update this has stopped working on my S5. I've uninstalled, updated the super user binary and reinstalled, nothing. Re-authentication is disabled. I sent an email to support but didn't hear back.

was great, had an S4 and no issues....now on an S6 with 7.0 nougat and the app CANNOT ACCESS RECENT CALL LOGS NOR TEXTS...so, if you get spam and wanna add them to block list, you must write it down then open RCB and add then create the number manually. did every trick in the book and no access whatsoever to recent logs...app has ALL PERMISSIONS TO DO SO, app works but lost a huge feature of convenience.
