This application will test the device for root (superuser) access using a very simple, quick, and reliable method that has been successful for over 10 million Android devices. The su binary is the most common binary used on Android devices to grant and manage root (superuser) access. Root Checker will check and verify that the su binary is located in a standard location on the device. In addition, Root Checker will verify that the su binary is properly functioning in granting root (superuser) access.
Many times users experience issues along the path of installing, configuring, and gaining root access. For some users the process can seem complex while for others the process can seem simple. Regardless of the user's technical skill set, Root Checker, will quickly and correctly verify whether or not root access is 100% functioning. The process of confirming root access is sometimes known by other terms such as, gaining superuser access or gaining administrator access. Root Checker covers all these terms as they relate to one core function, being able to execute commands through the su binary with root access.
If the Superuser management applications (SuperSU, Superuser, etc.) are installed and working properly, these applications will prompt the user to accept or deny the root access request from Root Checker. Accepting the request will allow Root Checker to check for and confirm root access. Denying the request will result in Root Checker reporting no root access.

Very useful to root phones with blocked info & used this on my old note 3, but don't need it with my new note 9 in active service. Best for phones that are locked from loss of service or from other people leaving accounts on them. Mine was given to me locked but this enabled me to use it on wifi. Highly recommend.
The free up showed phone as rooted.. i checked on a term emulator as well as other apps and the phone is not. Default settings for a driod 9 do not have the phone rooted. The free app then asks you to upgreade to the paid app for details.. its false advertising.
The free version works well and looks nice on my Google Pixel (2016). When I installed Magisk properly, the Root Checker app gave me a "Properly Installed" message. When I messed up the next installation of Magisk, the Root Checker app gave me a "Sorry, Not Properly Installed" message. These messages are very helpful.
This app has only one job: tell me whether my phone is rooted. And it fails miserably at that. The programmers are more interested in showing ads and getting me to upgrade than telling me whether my phone is rooted -- which was why I downloaded the app in the first instance. Please do not download this app if you want to know whether your phone is rooted. It won't tell you. Check for other root check apps. They work.
A fall from grace. This app used to be very simple, small, and effective. It has a small job to do. Now, when you open the app, you're bombarded by popups, messages, and stupid swipe cards.
The rankings page said that it would've shown the "reason for root install" only if I bought the full version. I checked that page, and it is exactly the same page as the one before the purchase. Of course now I can't refund it because it was an "in-app purchase". Scammy.
From being just a simple, non-intrusive root-checking app with adds and general information about root, when I first installed it 3 years ago, it has turned into another attention seeking, check-me-daily see-more-adds app! I get notifications even when I have disabled them! Some users might like it, but this is not my cup of tea.
Works flawlessly. Those saying it gives them a false negative while other root checking apps don't, it's because this app is thorough & others aren't. I was sorta "half rooted" cause something went wrong during rooting. Other root checking apps said i was rooted but i couldn't use the root-requiring apps i wanted. This app insisted i wasn't rooted all along. Rebooting and rerooting didnt help. So i reflashed my stock rom, rerooted & problem solved. If this app says you're not rooted, YOU'RE NOT!
Same problem with error message "root access not properly installed". Then it asks you to upgrade to advanced for $2.49 for further help. I did and it and the help was just to install someone else's app. A total waste of time and money.
After downloading the app,.I stalling and opening, the.app.told me it was not properly installed and of.course.then it.tried.to upsell me to an upgraded service for a.fee. So it didn't work at all for me
I cannot give it an official rate yet because it seems as though the app says that it is not installed correctly but there is really a very difficult time trying to find out what that means so I will respect the author's request not giving negative review as long as contacts me today contacts me today. I tried emailing him but it's just not working I don't know why
Bought a replacement phone off of eBay and needed to make sure that it was not rooted for security purposes. This seems to have done the trick. The app also informed me that my device is difficult to root giving me an added sense of safety. Thanks.
Does me no good to buy a new device for gaming and can't junk the bloat ware. Device manufacturers need charges on them.. Something real & painful to force them to put on a sticker on their products package...(Warning our POS device is loaded with trash you can't remove,,,Device is non root able) 3rd new device I paid cash for ,but some company has priority over my device they did not pay for . There are no court records showing anyone has ever challenged it.. Us gamers need to SUE .
I'm sorry but I feel disappointed because, why do we have to upgrade it with virtual MONEY to fully access the information of our devices' root status given? So, does that mean that the initial 'free' information report is not completely accurate and just rely on chances and probability? Your app doesn't give assurance and certainty for us, users, who can't afford the upgrade, just to simply read one answer to one inquiry: "Root Access: ?". Try not to use this app if you can't purchase...
Very, very reliable. What else can I say? This app does what it is made for; it checks if you have root on your device, and it also checks if you have the root correctly. A must have for anyone who is planning to safely root their device.
Good app. Strangely, this free version has been updated fairly recently, yet the pro version hasn't been updated since 2015 and also lacks features that are in the free version, e.g rankings
Scareware that hides problems it (claims to) have found until you pay. Not going to actually trust it with root access after that.
this is the problem if you don't have a UX UI designer. the only answer that people need is either: - this phone is rooted. - this phone is NOT rooted. saying "Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device" is like telling you "tomorrow could be sunny or rainy. unless you pay". ridiculous developer.
please develope the app to update. this app can root the any android device by this app permission root the device. plus feature root checker amazing. last apk for android 11 that inspire by google play store that fix security enhance protection of this apk for device too.
This app is useless. Dont waste your money unless you dont mind packing up your phone with adds and an app that doesn't work. Even if you want to upgrade the app it will force you to purchase any upgrade for about 5 USD. This thing haven't work once since i install it for about a year ago.

I'll rate 1 star because it doesn't root my device my phone is vivo y53 edit: it works on android x86 but king root doesn't work on vivo Edit 2: root installing is Expert :(
Very Helpful App ... When I Rooted My Phone With Kingoroot App It Says "Congratulations! Root access is properly installed on this device". And I Could Make It On My Way....
Already uninstalled the app but it keeps on popping back on my device so I have to uninstall it again but I just can't get rid of it.
Works just fine, but I wish I could see where you get the root available stats from, since I can't find a 6.0.1 root for g925v. That said, I'd very much like to know if there is in fact a root for 6.0.1 on the g925v, so please do inform me by any means!
"Sorry! Root access is not properly installed on this device" no more info. Is this good? Bad? What do I do? Your app has done nothing but beg for me to upgrade it and spam me with ads. The only info you display is global security rankings, which I can just google. You gave me nothing at all to use about my phone, my security, or what your own errors mean. Your comment section goes unaddressed despite identical complaints. Google really needs to clean up scam apps like yours
Its good but can you add a feature where it can remove root if you want because root really messes up your device in a really bad way. I have root. And i cant get the new device update because of root
Quite comprehensive and notifications are most valuable. A lot of people do not understand that if you are truly rooted, which this application will verify, then you should have an ad blocker that uses root that blocks all the ads. If you're seeing ads you either don't have an ad blocker or you are not rooted., or both.
