It's very easy to use and has all the info you need. The only thing is that I can refresh the list of shifts when and I always need to. I had to close and open the app again. Same thing when trying to read the notifications. I think a live chat like other agencies have would be a massive improvement.
pretty good however a few tweaks and it could be great, you should be able to see feedback that has been left to you to allow you to keep a work progress report, also the one email I sent has never been replied to. but I love the freedom it gives to pick my own shifts and work around my life instead of a company's and I get paid a fair wage. some weeks the work options can be Slim pickings if you don't drive. the best shifts go fast.
I loved this idea of an app. BUT This app has IT problems and was so unclear about not appoving your shift when I applied for one. One shift kept pending for about a week. So when I applied for more shifts the same thing happened. It was like praying to a bag of sand. Also some shifts are unclear about where they are taking you so they dont have to charge for the travel distance(maybe). Maybe the we are the most professional thing about Rota.
There are times when this app is slow to load but there are plenty of features. The pages need a bit more colour, however there is good use of bold font. I am quite new to using this hiring app but I have used others which have more vacancies and a greater range of venues.
It is a very bad app in my opinion, I have been trying to attend an induction day in Manchester for months now and the shifts always gets cancelled few days before without giving you a reason, and when I called their help line in London to ask why this is happening they didn't have a clear answer they just said that they didn't know why this happened and to just try to apply for other shifts. I ended up cancelling the app I definitely do not recommend it.
The app was great before it got a new design. Now it shows you shifts telling you they are available when they aren't. You cannot apply for them. Not only that but it's only showing shifts available within two days max
Excellent and really helpful app for finding hospitality shifts! They pay really well and have all applicable shifts displayed in a logical manner. It's really good getting paid on a weekly basis also. Would highly recommend using this app!!
This app is really bad. It crashes very often. Eventually I see jobs that I'm not signed off for or I don't receive any notification WHATSOEVER if I'm requested for a shift. Which is really bad because that's the all point!
So far, my experience with Rota has been pretty good. The pay rates are great and I get my money weekly. I've done 5 shifts with them and I have not experienced any bugs or problems with the app. Also, make sure to insert the promo code ORT0 to receive £10 on your first shift and £20 on your 10th shift.
No shifts available, is all I see. I live in a city where there is over 200 vacancies for Chefs and these guys are always emailing me for a survey; I had to put them in spam. Also, they kept asking for my hygiene certs; which I provided at the initial interview. Syft are now in town and they do get shifts, so I guess these guys aren't on the ball.
I have reviewed previously but I feel I need to add another..still have an issue with a severe lack of work. when there is work you often get put on a waiting list, which means you are hoping whomever have been accepted cancels the shift. I have had many cancellations from clients within 48 hours of the shift, rotas policy is to compensate you if the shift is cancelled within 24 hours. There is a lot of competition between agencies in manchester, but it seems like poor execution. lowered rating.
I applied for a kitchen porter role under the expectation that no prior experience was required. I arrived for registration and was turned away because I had no experience as a porter (It did say prior experience was vital on the app, however this was not presented clearly enough). They said I could come back for the front of house position in 2 days, which I was happy to do so. I got home and my account was suspended. Childish behaviour from the supposed professionals that run the app.
The app overall works and looks good, but sometimes is a bit messy. For example in my "Accepted" shifts I still have a shift that have been canceled days ago. If you're considering to apply, feel free to use my Referral Code! 4E12
app works, and that's probably only good thing about it. bugs!, no calendar support, i can't even write anything in calendar without remembering everything or writing it on paper because split screen doesn't even work (even when it's not blocked). devs of this app are joke. an infant would make it better without any knowledge... (FAO, it's all just about app) EDIT srsly? opening map and asking which app to use?? and no addresses in maps, just coords. how am i suppose to know where without map?
I would love to give 5 stars 🌟, but one thing is missing on the app according to me. Sometimes we apply for the shift which is to start within 48 hours and we realize that actually we cannot make it. Before the employers accept our shift, I believe we should be allowed to be able to withdraw our application.
App works perfectly but the problem comes with the company itself if you happen to have any issues with a shift. Emails go unanswered and repeatedly fobbed off by the one guy who answers phone calls to help center :(
At first I had problems reactivating my account. However once that was sorted and I started getting work. It was easy to use! Would definitely recommend!
It promises the customers will hire matching profile and experince but it is a deception, the app does it electronically, unhappy customers and workers all the way. Nobody is around the non existing office if you have a problem, can't clock in and out your shift nor message the employer in app; it stops working and all information is deleted for no reason; even if they owe you wages; it is the worst temp agy I worked for and they speak a poor English. Empty, deceptive, shallow.
I'm fully recommending NOT working with them, they don pay properly they make mistakes with the payment and say it was a technical reasons, no apologies I'm waiting almost a month for get pay. Terrible don't waste your time with them
Used to work perfectly, but in the last few weeks has been a challenge viewing shift as it keeps frozen and going blank.
Useless!!! I thought it would be a good idea to try a different type of job but when i read they charge you for cancelling shifts i decided to bail out! AND they keep cancelling! Never again!
good and easy to use however some shifts are misleading and it would maybe be a good idea to have a feature to see how else is work the shifts you applied to
It is a very good app. Highly recommend for any hospitality worker who is looking to be more in control of when and where they'd like to work.
I haven't been able to open the app since the afternoon of Sunday September 22nd 2019. I've emailed rota but had no response so far. I've got shifts booked for the next five days so this is an urgent matter. Guess I'll have to call them in the morning? Is anyone else having the same problem? Do you know how to resolve it?
Im wasting my time to download and fill the all the details only to find on that commercial screening that the only jobs I supposed to have experience were receptionist and related, no catering at all.
Venues can cancel your shift on the same day without paying you anything for it. They advertise higher rates of pay for shifts than what you actually get. The rota help desk don't respond to support tickets
Great way to do part time shifts and very flexible, with great pay. Love it!
I can't even register...something goes wrong with the app but the conception is interesting. I would to try something like this ( what is works) let's fix it..
The company are great, great support, great induction, and there are shifts if you check the app enough. The app is a bit glitchy, but it has simple layout which is great. Refreshes are manual which I think might be causing sync difficulties. I think I also lost a few shifts because I had been requested then I applied instead of just accepting the request. Could do with some work to clean up the flow of things. Maybe to include a separate menu for requested shifts or something.
