Every time I start this app a notification fills the screen telling me the version I have is outdated (0.92) & I need to download the latest version (0.93) but latest version not available in play store, nor can I find it on your official site. Been like this since I first installed Router Check 2 months ago. Plus the news storys on your site are years old. Are you even still in business? All of a sudden router Check "cannot determine" vulnerabilities or DNS info. I've contacted you 4 times now
Excellent app. Easy to use. No clutter. It checks your router's functionality thoroughly, and gives you an easy to assess security report, with excellent explanations and good suggestions for remediation
Great service - was possibly ahead of it's time. I would rate it 5 stars if it had been updated, however based on the fact that it was last updated on 2019 I cannot rate it highly. As a security "tool" it should be aware that no updates in 2 years is in itself a vulnerability
Vuln Database needs to be updated. This service has so much more potential. It was good back in 2017-2018 but it hasn't been updated - UI wise as well as the database of Vuln. It was a fantastic 'check on the go' app for checking basic configurations of wireless AP when I first used it years ago. The threat db needs to be critically updated to check for rather much known exploits for wireless routers.
When you run the app, it says "router password: not available." Before deleting my comment, you replied "that would create a huge security vulnerability" ...if I downloaded the app, I should trust it and the full disk encryption inherent with the android operating system. Again, I'm not sure this app does anything.
Seems to try common vulnerabilities in a private network. Performs a network scan and then checks for open ports and then reports what it found. This is why it takes a while for the app to finish, vexing the impatient peeps to no end! I am quite happy with the app though...
My phone runs Android 10. Under 'App info', for RouterCheck, the 'Permissions' button is grayed out with 'No permissions requested' just below it and also grayed out. Did the app fail to acquire any permissions or did it succeed without my knowledge, or is there another explanation?
Last update in play store is 2019. When I open the app, it tells me a new version is available. I don't think so. Looks like time to dump this app. Sad...
This app shows results that are unreadable, words on top of each other and a big box "fixit" blocking info, so you do not know what they want to fix.
This is useless! If the router fails a check they say to Turn off responding to internet Pings but don't say how to do it and the ASUS router has no option for responding to internet pings so there's no point to this app!
Very limited. Only seems to know how to check various known vulnerability of common off the shelf routers. Doesn't really find much to talk about with my Cisco 5500 ASA, draytek or my fw-4a with Debian Linux as it only really seems to look for web interfaces...
Simple and intuitive. There's a few very minor display issues but overall a decent tool.
Neet To Update its vulnerablitiy database. Atleast the top 25 Vulns from most exploited Wireless vuln list 2019. It should check for weak passwords via bruteforce to warn users for weak gateway password. Thats it. It would be a five star application then.
Never had a bad experience with Router Check. I've had it for over 4 years. it's always did its job. thank you Ralph H
Interesting: ) has some bugs to work out but good start and useful app
Easy to use and test. My systems are secure. 👍
Following the latest update the app failed - stuck on completion of the analysis of router.
Abysmal. When it does open it will ask for my language evety time and the NEVER function. Waste of my time.
this ridiculous at reports fall satistics tells me my ports are open when they're not tells me I'm using WPS instead of WPS 2 uninstalled
Wants me to install an update that doesn't exist. Website is YEARs out of date. Seems to be abandoned by developers.
Good app but still I recommend you to add more patches so we know about it deeply =)
Great App and easy to use and understand
Not a very comprehensive tool.
So where is 0.9.23 that it tells me I should have after installing & launching? It's Nov 2020 ...
Love this app it gives me a piece of mind
There seem to be no update for this app..
Poor attention to detail. Upon downloading the latest version from Google Play Store, when I open this app it tells me a newer version is available and to download it. O. K. The app displays incorrect information. Says my router is a D-Link. Very odd as I have Google mesh router and network. A big thumbs down from me, if basic fundamentals like this are wrong. I didn't trust any other info it gave.
