Rover - Cheaper Parking Spots

I had a horrible experience using this app and I have deleted it and will not use it again. The spot I chose to park in was in a gated lot, but the "Open door" button didn't work, and I submitted a support ticket but didn't hear back. A building tenant ended up letting us in. At the end of the day there was no one around to help us and we waited for 40 minutes until a tenant happened to arrive and we could ask them to let us in. I still haven't heard back from support.

I always pay when I use Rover. One time my payment didnt go through without my knowledge, & I got billed for $30 for their inconvenience. I wouldve been more than happy to pay for the spot if I had been contacted. Ive helped Rover and even walked 2 blocks back when they contacted me to take a photo of a car that parked in a spot that wasnt paid for. I wasnt even compensated. Ive had txt msgs, emails, and calls from Rover when I had an inquiry but I make one mistake and get charged. $limy app

Unfortunate that the support for this app is absolute garbage because the concept and money you save using it are great. However rover itself offers absolutely no help and does nothing to pre-screen the owners or buildings it allows to rent out sites. Zero assistance with support, building and property owners constantly passing blame back and forth, garage doors not working and then leaving your car trapped inside a site after your time has ended. Only use this app if you have to.

Someone was parked at my spot, I contacted the support all they offered was a refund, but no compensation or a discount for the next booking. They promised to issue a refund and to send a receipt by the EOD. It has been more than three days, nothing happened. Not sure why in their business model they cannot penalize spot owners and provide a discount in cases like mine. Anyways, tomorrow I am calling Visa to start a dispute. Will never use this app again.

Can't log in with existing account. Obviously won't be using the app. Tried to log in with existing account, used the PIN they sent, got an error. Reset password, got an error. Never mind, I guess.

As someone who has had a parking spot unused for so long, I feel like a fool for not using this earlier. Snapped a picture on my way in one day and bam, have people using my space nearly every day. Having a little trouble getting my bank account hooked up but support has been super quick so far.

Requested a refund and no response from customer support. The parking spot was difficult to find and too small for my car. Still waiting for customer service to respond.

Pretty awesome to use to get parking for downtown Toronto, it's usually a nightmare but this app keep my mind at piece knowing I have a spot waiting for me when I reach ✌️

Spammers - kept sending me sms after I uninstalled the app. Note to developers: users don't want your intrusive and unsolicited assistance with anything. Do not install!

Couldn't park in spot, Rover still charged me. No response or customer support

Love it - lots of spots in downtown Toronto, way cheaper than Green P. Worth trying

Parked in spot, received City of Ottawa parking ticket. Sent request to Rover Support to have owner of spot contact me, Rover will not allow any direct contact between owner and renter. If you run into any trouble with using a Rover parking spot, YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. "Cheap" spot could end up being the most expensive parking spot of my life! Use this app AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Inability to contact renter of parking spot causes anxiety when trying to plan in advance. Inflated 5 star ratings for this app cuz of ppl wanting the $10 credit. App is also not very user friendly. Good idea though. I'd rather pay a little extra for municipal parking and be done with it.

The price randomly increases as you extend a parking session... There is virtually no support from the company.

Doesnt offer cheaper max daily rates. Only cheaper by the hour for parking in Toronto.

Gets a little confusing if there are a lot of houses really close together posting their spots (in terms of whose spot you're really on). But overall, great app. Much cheaper than street parking.

Promising up and coming service. Just need to be able to communicate with the renter so I can allow them into the garage myself, I'll be back when that feature makes it in!
