This is indeed a generator, but it can only generate one result at a time. It doesn't even keep the previous result on the screen, it gets replaced by the new result. Just tried the 'save result', and it does save the result on the screen. I expected it to save all my rolled results after selecting the option, if I rolled a few at a time, but it only saves the current one on the screen. It saves them as individual entries, instead of as a list.
I've been using this since it was called "RPG Generator" and had a red skull for an icon. You've added a LOT of things since then, but still one consistent issue pops up: spelling and grammar. That's really my only issue with it, sometimes you really have to sit and decipher for a bit what you just generated. Sometimes the grammar is perfect, other times you get "Laying beside the road, badly covered by leaves is a corpse of a clerices arrows stick in it's right knee..." (real generation).
Great work on this app! I got no money to send ya or I would. Very helpful for me when I am not feeling so creative, takes lots of pressure off of me when dm. Keep on working with your passion project, they do take awhile I know but it's worth it in the end. The only actual improvements you could make are like random generated descriptions of characters like, eye color, hair color, race, gender, clothes, etc. But it's great as is.
The only part that works is the generator, the other buttons (dice background) don't respond. The generator is mediocre, with a lot of the same results. Keeping this app in playstore library to see if it improves, but for now it doesn't add anything useful.
Just got this app a little while ago, but it's already saved me more than once. The "Voice" generator has been a particularly lovely surprise, and I've used it often, much to the joy of my party. They currently think I'm just an improv genius, but whenever any of them start running games, I am recommending this app to them without a second thought.
I only had it for 10 minutes and already love it. Im going to use it when i write my book based on DnD and with my brothers campaign. However, i read a review about the app having grammatical issues. Sure theres a few, but it doesnt really matter to me. Great app still.
I love this app, I use it when I plan, I use it when I DM at the table. I use it the waiting rooms at appointments for ideas and laughs. The dev is passionate and dedicated that's obvious but the app is actually useful and cohesive. If your going to use digital apps at the table, you should definitely have this at the ready.
This is fantastic!! Everything I ever needed and all easy to access. Some really creative descriptions, and honestly my fave thing is the name generator. Have used a few but yours are certainly unique without having that generic fantasy cheesiness. Great work!
The concept looks amazing keeps crashing on me unfortunately in both old and wip modes but gonna keep it installed for future updates to help me with my dming roadblocks. *Update definitely fixed the issue and loving it!
I have been on for only a few minutes and LOVE IT! As a dm who likes seeing new ideas to tweak and incorporate into my campaign, this app is a god send. Already I have so many ideas on how to run a session, planning for future sessions, and if ever I am in a pickle this bad boy will be there to jail break me out. I heavily recommend this to new dms or anybody who is looking for inspiration like me. Thank you to the creator for making this app, I am eternally grateful.
I have been useing this since it was called Rpg generator and I really love this app, when I saw I didn't rate it I felt so dumb. This is one of my most used apps! It has inspired whole towns by a generating a cool cursed item or an event that I want to happen. I love this app and thank you guys for your hard work and even more incredible creativity.
Dice are not working on my device in wip section. Android v.9 kernel 4.4.146+. No crashes or weirdness other than the dice 🎲 🎲. The program is useful for quick generation of gaming needs. Keep up the good work!
It is so easy to use! I sat in my bed reading through the front page with all the questions and then stopped half way 'cause the questions were getting dumb... I am so excited to play this with my family and get back into D&D!! Thank you so much dude ^^ hope you kept it up.
This app is truly remarkable. Every single time I need something on the spot, or for planning in advance, I know this is the app for this. Especially if you are either new to the game or on a tight schedule. Note to dev: Is there any way there could be a random map generator? It's not a must but it would be pretty cool. Thanks, Chime
Personally, I think it'd be helpful to the people who draw the creatures generated if it gave a little more detail in that said creature(ex. Haircolour, lip size and colour, head shape, body shape/figure.)
I like the app and use the Generators alot. There probably every Generator I would ever need on this app. The one problem I have is that I wish there was a button to filter NSFW content because some of the taverns names I generate are, VERY, Interesting. That's my only problem with the app. If there was a edit option for the for the Generators, that wouldn't be that bad of an idea either, and a special armor generator too.
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! Such a helpful app I have tried so many that just are not what the claim to be, and honestly this is way better than I thought it would be. I was shocked to find that the creator was the only programer. Props to them for a job well done.
As a DM, this helps a lot in making random NPCs. What I will need is random monster encounter with the numbers and statblocks for the creatures, as I remember that some of the monster only have physical description but not the type of the creature.
very impressive work, although there are a few spelling mistakes and numbering issues the random creations make sense. I know it could be more work but right now you can generate 1-20 scenarios/options. could you make it 50 or more? 🤔😊
Plenty of quirky quickies to help throw a few amusing bits into an adventure. Definitely added to my suite of tools!
One man app, but one strong good man nonetheless!! I love the app, it helps when I just run into a deadend when building the World for my players. Love your work dude, if there anything the community can do to help, dont hesitate :)
A great tool! Perfect for generating nearly everything imaginable. Had a tutu with it before and had a trap generated which releases a gas that makes the PCs believe they have completed their quest and go home for a week and generated very comprehensive NPCs with more background information then you will normally need to know in a standard campaign unless you are Matt Mercer!
As a DM with limited time I appreciate the hell out of this app. As a fellow programmer I appreciate the hell out of the amount of work it took to code and organize this thing. This is like a handy tool I would spend years programming myself so i could be lazy a few days a month as an unprepared DM.😂
It's only text software for writing up game concepts like ideas but nothing when it comes to graphics and animations. I could just write this stuff on paper. Waste of time really
I do not leave a review very often however I have used this app for writing and table top gaming for a long time. I have tried and still use many apps that try to do the same concept however Dm's Lil Helper truely is the best one I have used so far.
beautiful app fun and useful definitely going to be used in my campaigns and exactly what I was looking for. still using this app (almost exclusively) for the last 2 and 1/2 months
I had my doubts at first, but the dev has surely done a great job. Of course there's scope for further improvement and he knows that himself. Started using it yesterday and it helped quite a lot. Cheers.
This app is FIRE. I used it a few months back and I was looking to redownload it but the name changed so I thought it got deleted and was really bummed. Thank God I found it again because nothing beats the items it generates. Amazing coding and so many cool ideas. Would love to see more options for damage rolls and whatnot, but it's also nice to make some of that up yourself.
