I've been playing this game on and off for almost 3 years and want to update my review! I played the trial and couldn't get enough of the cute characters and storyline that I upgraded to the full version. The combat is fun and reminds me of my early final Fantasy days. It can get grindy at times for the more rare ingredients but nothing impossible to get.
This game is a very cute and very fun. I played the trail and liked it enough to buy the full version, and so far it's definitely been worth it. I love the cooking aspect, and being able to put battles on auto is great because I find them boring. My only real complaint is there are too many battles when you're exploring dungeons, which I would forgive if the monster repellent worked better. Also the speech isn't translated very well, but you do still get the idea of whats being said.
This is the type of game I would play without hesitation. It's really amazing but a bit grindy. I wish I could play the full game but I'm too young. The reason why I gave 4 stars is the dungeon exploration is pretty pretentious. The enemy encounter happens every minute and it's annoying. Please just make the ability for the player to only approach the enemy to fight. Not all of us have the patience.
I really like how this game included both monsters to kill and dishes you had to make. The bot for killing the easier ones was a great way to speed up killing and gathering. The story was basic and yet fun. The graphics were both entertaining and acceptable. The only thing I want more for this game is a part two. I want to see the aubergine and how it plays out. I didn't get to see the city that Elias was from either. So many unanswered questions. Can I please have a part two creators?
My biggest concern is until now the customer service has not reach me back about my enquiries. The game was quite interesting. Not the typically fight to level up, which is a bit more tricky. Not a high graphic game. Lots of story line. I don't know until what level is the trial version, I bought the full version half way. Jewels/bought off currencies are also easy to be earn through fighting off monsters. The game itself is not a hard game to play. I heard that this game is a remake of a game that the developer had before.
For once an actual game! This is a nice causal cooking and farming game. Although somewhat lacking in combat and not many characters that I've seen so far. Its still a lovely game to pass the time. I do like how it intertwines cooking and experience points as it helps show the real focus of the game. Its an interesting feature having multiple experience bars but it makes sense in the long run. At least that's how I see it. Easy to understand and can play without breaking the bank~
I enjoyed the game itself. The problem was when I bought it. I bought the game in the trial not seperately. After about 2 weeks of playing it doesn't work, I get the Kemco screen then it goes to a black screen and stays there. I uninstalled, reinstalled and lost everything. Such a waste of money :( Btw, I just posted this review and it was taken down, how odd, don't you agree?
Fun game with some flaws. By default the music is turned on and super slow text. Both are annoying but you can't get to the options to change them until you get through the super long opening. The combat is fairly tedious, but the cooking and exploration and building up the tavern is fun. There are also a lot of tutorials for obvious things but missing any explanation of things like what the stats you have mean
There is a bug with the tap to move controls. Sometimes the difference between where I'm tapping and where it registers the movement is an inch to the right. Reloading the game fixes it, but it's annoying. Otherwise, the game is great. Adventure Bar Story was one of my favorites. I plan on buying the full version.
Started a new game and the story was cute. My problem started when the game actually started. I couldn't move my character because the game thought I was pressing in a different corner when I was actually trying to move the control pad. So I got stuck after the first cutscene. Please fix this. It looks like a fun game, but it's just not functional.
Brilliantly executed game, quirky storytelling up to Kemco's regular high standard. Some aspects feel a little repetitive (getting water from the well for example) and there's a shared pool of crystals over all save files which is very, very bad as far as I'm concerned. At least make gems refresh on new saves. Apart from those two things, excellent.
Really liked the trial version! I did think there were too many instances (like every 5 steps) of monsters/fighting parts. It just got annoying. If the game was $4.99, I would probably buy the full version - but don't think it is worth $7.99. I have been looking for a game similar to this for a long time!
I played this game because I heard it's a spiritual successor to Adventure Bar Story, a game which I used to play & liked the concept. Clearly enough it's exactly the same as ABS, a fun game to kill your time! Plot of the game isn't too mindblowing, but characters are rather endearing & you easily get attached to their quirky interactions. Speaking of which, some dialogues can be cheesy but I think that's just due to language difference from translation. Controls are a bit clunky when in towns/dungeons. It's like if you played with a mouse, the sensitivity was set on too high haha. But nothing too bad that it's game-breaking. Overall a pretty nice game worth the price
Pretty good but very repetitive. You go out and get ingredients, fight monsters, come back to town make food and end the day. You get little conversations with other people but they dont happen that often. I bought the full game in this app (didnt want to download 500mb over again with slow internet) and my game still says it's a trial in the name. Thought maybe it would change to the full version but didnt. Little annoying.
I love the game! Its great, I usually lose patience with mobile games after like an hour but I played this for like 4 and a half. And then the notification popped up that I had to pay $8 to continue playing. I get the whole pay for games thing but why not just put a price on it in the beginning and let me know in about 4 hours I gotta pay money. I'm still deciding if I'm gonna pay cause i really like the game and the story and art but ugh... that's money! I did buy and it's great but still...
A pretty good game for a decent price on mobile, nice if you enjoy the harvest moon or rune factory series. Microtransactions are optional but not necessary to progress which is a big plus for me. Maybe one con is that it gets a bit tedious after a few hours with doing the same things over and over, but still overall a personal 5 stars.
You will need to buy the 7.99 game after a trial period, about 3 cities in. Apart from that I genuinely love this game, no waiting, no unnecessary in game purchases and so that makes for a really fun and guilt free gaming experience, that is if you like cute harvest moon esque gameplay, running a restaurant that you have to rank up, while fighting monsters and gathering ingredients. I for one love it!
Never loaded. I got as far as the second load screen after selecting new game. I restarted my tablet, updated, loaded again and got stuck in the same spot. New game load screen. I pulled it up again and lowered display settings to normal (from high) and tried again. Sam result. Restarted, tried again. No change. Its a sham because it looks like a really cute game that i really wanted to play. Maybe I'll revisit if the bugs get fixed.
Fun game, you don't feel like you need to use the microtransactions at all. There is flow without it being too easy either. Very enjoyable as long as you like turn based combat, its implemented well and the visuals overall are really nice. I spent $8 for the game and I feel like I got more than that amount of fun.
The full game might be a little too expensive unless if you look at it as you are just buying 80 jewels. But the good part is, you do get jewels from monster drops. Some of the recipe hints are a bit too difficult and it gets troublesome when you have too many recipes. Other than that the story plot etc are still ok.
Honestly the game never asked me to review, I felt compelled to leave one though. I played this game throughout the trial not realizing it was a trial, and found myself pleasantly surprised about how detailed this game is. It feels like something that could be ported to switch, or nintendo DS or something. What a great game, I found out part of the way through that I was on a free trial, well worth the 7 or 8 bucks in my opinion 🤗 thanks for a great game!
IT DOESN'T WORK!!! I've always wanted for Adventure Bar Story to update for more adventures pr maybe a part 2! Even tho this game's not Siela anymore, I really am happy to find another one!!! - Was the first thing I said before playing :< I can't play the game! The game exits itself after tapping the new game button and the loading screen appears THEN IT EXITS ITSELF! Please fix this, I really want to play the gaaaame!
This game is fun and easy to learn. It has just the right amount of information and examples to teach the game. The challenges are good but I have played by building up my characters before I did a change. It is easy to build up a character, just feed them. The game doesn't reward killing, so you can't build your characters by combat.
I'd love to play, if the controls were fixed. i tried playing and tapped new game (left side of the screen) for my tap to appear half way in the screen. tried restarting app, fixed issue until i locked my phone and came back in to the same thing. please fix. :( i really want to play. Will update review once fixed.
Very fun game with good graphics and actually has pretty interesting stories. But can also be very repetitive and grinding as you'll need ingredients for food. Most of the stuff that you thought you would have to pay cash for actually can be gained from boss drops or rewards by feeding coco. Overall i enjoyed it!!
Played a few hours and had a pretty good time! The story is simple but cute and the game is fun so far. I can tell it's going to be grind-heavy, but the music and atmosphere makes it pretty relaxing. Instead of buying the full game on mobile, though, I think I'm going to wait for a sale on switch, since i like having physical buttons and a larger screen.
