RPM Calculator

I downloaded this app to use while I was refurbishing a vintage (1966) turntable (Dual 1009 SK). I am working on this for the 18 year old daughter of a friend. She is very interested in vinyl records, and the turntable and amp were given to her by her grandfather. I have it running properly now, lubed and adjusted. I am using the app to dial in the four speeds using my Android phone (16, 33 -1/3, 45 and 78 RPM). It is very accurate and useful for this purpose. Kudos to it's creator.

Did what I needed, my only wish is that I had to do repair work more often on my record player. In this case I'll probably uninstall the app till I need it next to save space but this app is totally great!!!! Works just like it should!

Excellent after I worked out how to use it best. The app has no help but I saw in another review the trick of placing a light cup or glass on the center and balancing your phone on top. That works and I got 33.3 to 33.4 on my Rega Planar 3.

Looking into making a motorized lazy susan for painting. I wanted to know if a motor's RPM was going to be too fast. Used this app to get a feel for how fast it will be spinning. Rotating readout is a great touch! Well done! Thanks 😁

Amazing free app for checking speed of your record deck. It says my turntable is running at 33.75 rpm; different app on different phone gave same result. Thanks & top marks to the developer.

I used this app on my Samsung Galaxy A20 to adjust the speed of my turntable. I am happy with the accuracy of the measurements it gives.

Brilliant just saved me buying a new turntable along with the YouTube video that showed me how to change the speed after my records started sounding like the chipmunks.

Sorry i didnt like this one . I found it to be inaccurate Slow and no way to recalabrate it also it dont tell you all of what you need also a bit cumbersom

App will not zero. Minimum reading j can get is 0.01. Other than that it's good.

Should be enabled to to work with accelerometers, some devices do not have gyroscopes.

Not accurate enough with my LG V40. Don't rely on this or similar apps.

I wanted something to measure the rpm of a shaft but this only works by placing it on the rotating item.

Performed as expected on Samsung A50. Reading of app confirmed within tenths the reading of the stroboscope (50Hz grid).
