The proximity sensor is not fast enough for fast moving objects. For that, use a rpm meter that uses microphone or camera.
Couldn't you make this with using Ambient sensor ? i think Ambient sensor is More Usable/Responsible for fast moving/rotating objects.
Literally does nothing. Tried paper in front of IR sensor. Maybe it just doesn't work on a galaxy S10
It did not work as expected... no reading come out... maybe the sensor issue.. I used samsung C9Pro
You read the facts then it works. It is everything that it says. Work perfectly. Thanks!
Not shown anything. Not working.. if not working then why gives you stars????
Good app. Dashboard could be more user friendly
Wow it works nicely. Great app. Keep the good work up
Now I can save money for not bought rpm sensor.
This app is bad i tried to my pepsi but its 0rpms bad work...
doesn't read motor rpms
Very Poor operation.
Acurate 100% . Tested on my Technics SL120. Love it
spam add , did nothing
Very nice usefull app
App did absolutely nothing
Want to learn more
The app is owsom
Good app but not good enough to stop me spending $300 on the real thing. The current rpm needs to be averaged over 1 second and I couldn't find an rpm dial gauge. Put some effort in and you will have this app on every engineer and mechanics phone.
Measuring same thing number of times always give different measurements, all over the place. GOES IN GARBAGE
Very impressive! This plum gator tough phone has been crashed onto pavement lots, the sensors barely work anymore, and I've checked it with a Pioneer pll direct drive turntable, and it is perfect. So was this apps measurements. Half the time the sensor won't turn off my screen, and hangs up. How the heck does the app work better than the phone?!
Works ok at very low rpm. If you can't get this to work or if you need more rpm look for an app that uses the microphone.
I used the app to read the rpm capabilities of the LEGO vacuum engines I built, it could be better, but the app read 1600 rpm at half throttle. After that it couldn't read
I swung my hand back n forth . It read 287 RPM. FYI the sensor is on the front u have to face it forward
I'm a mechanical engineer and I love this app. Used it for few motors who specs were unknown. Thanks for an awesome e app! Note...it does not give RPM of your car! How could it?! It sense motion across the IR proximity sensor and counts the passes and time between passes.
It works occasionally, I use it to calculate the RPM of a fan, it doesn't always seem to work, even after putting black tape on one of the blades.
Damn thing works like a charm on my lathe. Turn the lathe on, hold my phone close to it and i can set the rpm real easy of my lathe super app! I would charge millions for it as long as i can keep mine for free lol
Could not get an rpm reading on a fan, even after putting white tape on one blade. May work better at low rpm's. Galaxy s3.
We used this for my son's science fair project. Worked well. We needed it to tell us rotations of a windmill. We used max rpm feature and divided the number of blades to determine the real rpm.
Not sure why this app has so many bad reviews. It did just what I needed it to. It's only as good as your phone's proximity sensor. What is a proximity sensor? Originally used to turn off your screen during a phone call when you put your phone up to your ear. Nowadays used for various bits like in-pocket detection to keep the screen off. . The majority of prox sensors make use of infrared light. That light must bounce back to the IR collector. A dull black object not going to work so good.
