Useful app. A bit funky, but does the job. Had to uninstall and reinstall the app following update to Android 9.0 (clearing cache and data didn't work). Looks like the developer may have abandoned this (no updates in 4 years).

no longer updates after android update to 9.0

This app is almost exactly the type of RSS feed reader I was looking for. I say "almost" because I don't like the way the entries are laid out. The heading is not visible to read entirely unless you wait for it to scroll across the top of the screen, and there is not enough information displayed when reading through entries, such as the number of unread articles. Very simple and light for everything else though.

You can use this app to get the headlines but not much else. I get that RSS readers are meant to take the place of visiting sites for full strories, but this one gives you only a line or two of info followed by an entire page of wasted space. I'm uninstalling it because I need a little more info in my feeds.

Updates RSS feeds and displays them no problem but there are no real options to sort/search. It has the ability to store the feeds forever and has the ability to backup your feeds but not the feed contents. Also annoyed I have to click back twice to exit an article and have to confirm to exit. These 3 issues mean there are better apps available.

• This RSS reader will import and export your feeds in opml format. That allows you to write your own code for feeds based off of xml. • There are no cloud-based accounts to log into, which means you are not prone to having a large corporation pull the plug on this. • It is almost as easy to use as Google Reader, however it doesn't categorize your feeds.

1 thing is bugging me: the widget allows me to have only 4-10 news at one time. Please remove this! It's annoying to have 3 widgets on the same screen + I am loosing a lot of space with the widget margins and stuff. So either remove the range, either make it to 50 at least.

It downloads feeds OK, but navigation and management could be easier. The list for a feed should optionally include the first para of the article, and the button to go to article should be separate from the forward and back buttons. Also these buttons should not jump around when the advert pops up. There should also be a more accessible button for mark all read.

Was a nice lightweight reader, with only a few minor features missing (cannot categorize feeds, no search, cannot export saved articles other than individually sharing each one), but with a recent upgrade to android 10, parts of the UI no longer works. In particular, the delete button had disappeared when reading an article, so you can no longer clear as you go. Given this app has not been updated since 2013, I doubt it will be fixed either.

Good program overall, but also super obnoxious. The ads flash and strobe about half the time, making it impossible to read at night, and when you try to exit the prompt has only two buttons "No, don't leave" and "Rate me on Google Play", locking you into the app with no normal means of escape. Here's your rating, devs, enjoy.

This app is so ineffectual and frustrating just like the majority of RSS apps. Just about every URL from ESPN and Grantland initiated an error. It seems like the only links that work are the ones that from the the news sites that the app forces you to use. These RSS software companies need to stop tell would-be customer that they can import URL's.

Tried this a fee times now and when I add a feed it just says there are no entries. The feeds I've tried were copied and pasted from another RSS app where it does work - refreshing makes no difference.

Simple and fast. There are many apps with more animations and more "complex" functions, but these new actions cause that the final app is slow and you need to move across many menus. This app don't have that problem, install it.

Although it's somethimes nice to hace a basic app, this one is a bit over the top (or under the bottom if you will). Searching for feeds works only if you type the whole URL adress which often means you sshould find such a link in a different place (app), and there is no classification of fweeeds in groups (news, hi tech, cars, sports, whatever...). Additionaly, the app allways asks for a rating uppn exit, which is poor manners in my book. The plus side is the dark background and lifhtweight UI.

Simple, but does all I need. It would have got four stars but for the microscopically tiny "eye" and two arrows that serves to select the full Web page - it needs to be many times larger and not stuck on the right hand page edge.

Its working well and without major issues.Just a feed that works well in other apps (Brief in pc firefox) give me error here. I'm missing a tab to see just the unread feeds with the number of unread entries on each, no all entries or all feeds. But in general it works well and I'll recommend it.

I admit, I really only use the basic features of this app. I have about 3 sites I follow and this allows me to easily scroll through and browse the entries I may or may not be interested in. If I don't want to read them right now I'll star them and save them for later.

It looks good and installs smothly on my old phone, but these are all the pros for this app. I couldn't find a way to actually make it work (besides showing me the empty dark screen). I am not sure though if it's my fault or the app's fault. Anyway, it should be made more user-friendly and intuitive. I give 3*s for the fact that it is (still) compatible with my device.

Tim. W. Jun 22, 2015

Straight and fast. Most of all it DOES NOT require an account. Just paste the feed address and let it do its job. Update: Unfortunately, it's not 100% compatible with all feeds. Produces errors. I had to uninstall it unfortunately! :(

Works well, and packs a lot of info into one page. Not the fanciest interface but if you like your triple espresso straight, as I do, this is a great app to have in your device

Joh. K. May 20, 2014

Small , fast, and opens links with associated programs instead of internally (all things I found irritating with feedly). The only feature I'm missing is "search", which I need infrequently enough to get by without.

Den. R. Mar 30, 2015

Advertisements in the app are too distracting. They constantly blink at you. Horrible. I also get highly annoyed at apps that constantly request you to rate them until you finally do it, so here you go. Your rating. One star. At least you don't insist I sign in to some social network.

J. D. Jun 30, 2014

Rip off of the sparse RSS app with ads thrown in and god knows what else. Get that app, its ad free and open source.

Ste. A. Jan 17, 2016

Only downloads a small handful of the items from the subscribed feed each day. Ignores over half of them, seemingly at random. If I visit the rss page myself, I can see the items are definitely being posted there.

Would love to have some more features, like being able to mark all read up to a point, but it works
