Latest update is disappointing. The light, clean list view is gone, the menu headings have changed, and the update added subscriptions to feeds I didn't ask for or want. I didn't mind when they added footer ads, but surprise full screen ads with audio means I can't discretely check for updates. Time to find a new tool.
This app is an energy vampire. I don't know for sure why it runs my battery down so much. I greatly suspect it's spending a boat load of energy running/getting ad data. There needs to be a TRUE offline mode and I really wonder if it actually is playing podcasts from my phone that I've downloaded target then streaming. If it's downloaded and I'm not on WiFi why does it need to ask/remind me that I'm on cellular data?
Used for years and used to be very good, but updates are increasingly ruining it. More, and and more intrusive ads including those that launch videos with sound that can't be stopped. Today's update has increased size of all icons to look prettier but make it less useable. Now no way to "mark all to here as read" or unread make it harder to scroll through lots of articles and just pick out the ones you want, and delete others. Will be changing App this weekend once I find a decent alternative
Utter garbage dont bother. Was happy with this app for years until a few months ago when the developer inserted full page ads which you cannot back key out. So you have to exit the app to get rid of the ad. Complete nonsense. No option to buy "pro" edition to get rid of ads. Stay away!
have been using it for years, because of clean and simple interface. the latest update now messed up completely. design completely overoaded with pics and ads. not usable any longer for me. start looking for an alternative.
It was a great app but now it doesnt have an export feature anymore, is full of really intrusive ads and I wouldnt be surprised if they were selling all your information. Huge downgrade from what it was before. I absolutely dont recommend it.
Great app., new instances of fullscreen ads from nowhere are obnoxious. At least offer an ad free version. I have used this app for a long time, I will be switching soon if this doesn't change.
Podcasts no longer download into a place where my podcast player I enjoy using can find them. Not sure why, it broke on the last update. I like the player more than this app. Lots of podcast finders out there, it was good while it lasted.
Can't see the app texts! The new update 07/01/2021 won't let me read the app texts (like the time a news piece or a podcast was added, i cant even see the (Are you sure you want to delete all the news?). Please fix.
The new update with a full screen ad after every story, often with loud sound has ruined this app! Still has the small ad constently at the bottom So now you get two ads with every story!
Bad update, new layouts arent very good and no option to keep the old one. The advertising is now incredibly intrusive. This update has ruined what used to be a very good app.
Pile of hot garbage. Classic scenario, was a good app. It was bought out and completely changed to exploit unsuspecting exishing users for ad revenue. Its not even an rss reader anymore!!
I've used this app for years, but recently they've been bombarding me with full screen ads. I can no longer recommend this app and am actively looking for it's replacement.
it was good app, but everything has a beginning and an end. after last update - small fonts , crashes , bad control on feeds.

List view was removed. That's why I use this app. Now I have to find something else. Also, the last update subscribed me to feeds I did not request. Not happy.
Great before. Now getting hit with full screen adds with audio. Time to find a new reader
Used to be great but major update change around April 2020 and it is now completely different. Looking for alternative now unless they bring back the old version.
As an owner of RSS Demon Elite I have to say that not only have they made an absolute mess of this, but they've deleted the paid version from Play so it can no longer be downloaded even for owners. Do NOT support these greedy thieves. This has gone from the best RSS client to one of the worst available, and they have actively ripped off paying customers.
All of my podcasts were just deleted. The entire library and all source URLs. Meecel is a synonym for utter garbage.
The old interface was better and ads are annoying.
With account syncing option, this rss reader would be perfect.

The recent update made this app completely unusable
Very disappointed in the last 2 updates. I understand the need for ad revenue when your app is free, but full screen ads when you close an rss article is just jarring. I would rather the app showed the ad on opening. The latest update completely changed the GUI layouts, makes your default view "all unreads", is much less efficient to browse by feed or topic and I find it unusable.
