Intuitive and works perfectly. My only complaint: I wish there was more clarity on the differences between Local Pass and Regional Pass (what does 1-2 zones mean? Where are the zones?) or that there was a way to upgrade from Local to Regional by paying the difference instead of full price.
90% of the buttons just bump out to a web browser, so what's the point of an app? The few actual features do work, though.
not bad... needs work for the train station. it should be a map of all stations.. if i don't know the name hard to find. Also, if you want people to use it? make it easier to share the app. no share option. you might want to research what other highly successful cities use for apps, design, etc. and copy their success. for example Hong Kong. Their MTR is second to none.
Does what it says on the tin, I guess. The fact you can't buy single tickets is ridiculous, and most of the links on the main menu open as web pages rather than in-app. There aren't any alerts or information on where your bus or train is. It's literally just a way to buy day passes, which is okay for tourists, but if you actually plan on using RTD more than about once a month you're better off getting a MyRide card and using the Transit app for information.
App is MORE unstable after new update, even after downloading it to a new, different phone. It also crashes other apps when opened. (Boinc, spotify)
Locks up on the opening screen. Reinstalled it twice and no change. Totally useless.
Literally the most unreliable transportation service I've ever even heard of....is say twice a day on average a bus/train that's scheduled just doesnt show up...it's on the schedule, on the app listed everywhere but then doesn't show and most of the time it's all 30 mins-hour till the next bus/train. Absolutely horrible service and the app is almost pointless given how often it's wrong
A1 Riding the light rail is great. I enjoy not dealing with the traffic It works for me. RTD app has been very helpful
Like the denver transit services, this app has limited usefulness for most people. I'm not sure that "next ride" updates in real time due to delays, etc. Google maps is generally easier and more reliable. The only reason to have this app is for buying tix with a credit card, otherwise it is basically useless.
Would be better if the "Next Ride" tracker was more accurate. But I guess it's kinda useful.
The app is great for buying and using tickets on an individual basis. You can purchase tickets with a data connectiin, and then you can use the tickets without one (so all you have to worry about is keeping your battery charged). I would like to see an update that allows you to send tickets to other ppl. It would be a huge plus for parents; or even to just quicjly help a friend in a bind
I should be able to log out and uninstal an app that is not in use and be able to downloaded it again on the same device with out issue. I can NOT do that. If you uninstal and then reinstall on the same device it will limit you on how often that can happen, it states that you have x amount of 3 times of doing switching devices, as the app states.
It is useful to have a ticket on my phone. Its really annoying how slow the app is. The bus drivers are sometimes rude because although I pull the app up as I see the bus approaching it can take 30 seconds to get my ticket to pull up. It would be better if when there is an active ticket if it would just hold it on that screen-all the time not just sometimes. Instead what happens is I push the app button wait about 10 seconds then hit the tickets button, wait again go to current tickets, wait some more and then finally my ticket appears. Today my bus driver asked ME to have some urgency. Like I'm able to make the app work any faster! Please fix this issues. Thanks
When I went to use the App for the second time it told me that my session had expired and I needed to log back in. For context I don't have an account. My pass is stored on the device. I never logged in or created an account. I couldn't get the app to just let me open my ticket so I spent $10.50 on a day pass ticket. Only on closing and reopening the app did it bypass the session expired screen and let me get the ticket I already spent money on. That is a pretty lame UX.
App works really well 99% of the time, but sometimes it just won't process payment for a ticket. Highly recommend buying some tickets in advance just Incase it decides to stop working.
Right now I need help I cannot log in and put this on the app on my home screen I have to pull it up and Google every time but I love to think man
Original review: Use this app every day to buy my bus ticket. This morning it says a new version is out and I have to update - but the download isn't working. Google Play is happily updating other stuff on my phone but this won't move off "pending". So, now I'm going to be late for work - my bus just left without me. Seriously, no grace period between the phasing out of the old version and introduction of the new one? Or even a warning for the few days before that an update would be coming out? TERRIBLE lack of planning. Update: And now you can't even buy tickets from it, seems like a load of others are having the same issue - "no products available" when you go to the ticket screen.
It would be better to have trip planner, next ride, and maps/schedules in the app, not opening a webpage. Update: it would also be nice to not be logged out of an app on a secured phone. The only apps that should have mandatory log in is bank apps.
Great app! Easy to use. Not a single glitch during my 5 day trip in Denver. Can buy passes for Local (local buses), Regional (e.g. buses to Boulder) or Airport. Remember the security code for the credit card that you saved as you will need it every time you buy passes.
Not sure if it is working. Tried to buy tickets at 40th ave & airport but all machines out of order. App will not allow me to upload credit card to purchase fare. Error message "No fares to purchase" @7:30am. Just glad A-Train running.
Good app.. can sometimes be wrong with the timing. But otherwise super easy to navigate and plan your trip to essentially anywhere is Denver and the surrounding areas
It keeps missing trips and trying to make me travel earlier than I need to. It used to be a good app... I'll go back to 5 stars when someone explains what's going on and fixes the issue. It used to be awesome.
For years I've had this app, and it won't let me log in. I've tried resetting passwords, opening new accounts, etc., and it gives an error every time.
The app performs much like thier drivers, many times it's great but when it's bad, it's horribly bad, just like some of thier drivers. Good luck using next ride or trip planner. Remember RTD=Reason to Drive.
Always works how it's supposed to. Simple, but robust.
Feature request: As a user, I would like to be able to tip my bus driver. This app is great. It's never crashed and does what is advertised. The only reason why I am rating 4 is that I would really like the ability to tip my RTD driver. Bus drivers have very challenging jobs and I would like the ability to tip them. Thanks again. Update: I decided I can't morally rate this app a 4. This app is solid. 😜
