The app lost connectivity within about 5 mins. Seems like connectivity is a bit flaky somewhere. The wifi signal is fine for most purposes but the R2 mk 3 and the app somehow fell out if love. Reset network settings and the app is now working the R2 fine. Difficult to tell whether the R2 is the illness of the dropping off or the symptom of the app messing connections up.
This app is useless. Purchased a Ruark MRx and trying to get it connected with this app is a nightmare. I can see the MRx (ocassionally) as an option within the app. but any connection? no chance. Two days ago I had a chance connection , which lasted about 20 minutes as I played Spotify through it , then it suddenly disconnected. Ruark should put big distance between themselves and this app developer as it is a big mistake to be associated with this app, with such good speaker products. Don't know what to do now apart from just stream with bluetooth using other apps on my phone or tablet. The Wifi capability is useless. I am not stupid. I build my own PCs from scratch and I network them together, yet I cannot get this app to work. So fed up as it has ruined the promised connectivity of my Ruark Mrx speaker and there is very little point in purchasing any more to make a Multiroom system.
Although the R2 'Keep Connected' to wireless is set to yes, it looses connection to Ruark Link. So we have to go through the 'Set Up Audio System' routine. It's easier to stick to the tiny remote supplied with the R2. Put me off going for a MRx speaker.
What is the point of an app that hardly ever manages to connect to the device? How can ruark continue to associate with a garbage product like undok? On the rare occasions it acknowledges the device, it is still clunky and won't even let you make a play list. All in all, a terrible, terrible app. Time for ruark to make their own app as undok is never getting better and is simply not fit for purpose.
This isnt Ruarks fault aside using the Undok app and branding it with their name. The problem with this app is that it doesn't always find the device. That's why I'm here now reviewing it. I can see my Roberts 93i and a Roberts S1 speaker but today the Ruark has decided to be a no show. Tomorrow it may be there and the Roberts not. It's great when it works but that is not every time. I've tried the usual uninstall/reinstall but no joy. Bad choice of partner Ruark!
Completely useless. Won't find my MRx speaker and I am one of the most tech literate people on the planet. It annoys me when developers release software without thoroughly testing it. This is in that category
It fails to connect. Takes ages to show option lists when it does. It's unpredictable.
The Undok app has problems connecting to my Robert's 93i but the Ruark app has no problem at all connecting fantastic app. U can use more theme colors but thank u.
I love my Ruark MRx speaker but the Ruark Link app should be retired and rewritten!!! Not quite a waste of space but very close.
I wish I'd read these reviews before buying 2 speakers ...after hours of trying to get them to pair I've had enough of this app. Ruark you should be ashamed of yourselves.A great product wasted...
Worked for a short time and now the app doesn't recognise the R2. This is a shame as the standard r c is poor.
wasted hours trying to get it to work with Spotify
Works well with my R7 mk3
No problems for me.
Have been waiting for this since purchased an R2. It's great. Can control radio from my phone now as well as Spotify. Thank you!
Does what you expect, works great with my R2
Same as the undok app, but with less themes.
Unfortunately the Ruark R2 mk3 regulary drops it's wifi connection and cannot be reconnected to the app - this despite strong 70mb+ wifi. Advice on Ruarks FAQs does not help to resolve. I've never had these issues with my Bluesound apps and devices. Please Ruark, get UNDOK to fix their useless app and software bugs. UPDATE: my wife and I got so fed up with the dropping connection, we changed to a Bluesound Pulse Mini. After 3 weeks, it hasn't dropped out at all.
