Runefall - Medieval Match 3 Adventure Quest

BEWARE. This was my favorite game of all time but the updated version is not for me. While it is more complex than the original it requires that you spend a lot of money if you want to finish the level. Very sad day for me. Decided to try it again. Spent $40 to get me started. Now I have so many ads game no fun. Seldom able to finish level without using jewels which eventually means more money.

Runefall is the most engaging & unique match 3 game I have played (of which there have been many). I love the storyline, the graphics, & the quests - also unique. You don't have to pay to play, the game gives plenty of opportunities to watch SHORT ads for moves. Customer support is fantastic & they go above & beyond. I had an issue and one support person personally kept in contact with me for a week until resolution (problem was all me). He/She was friendly, knowledgeable, & honestly caring.

It's and interesting game but have to uninstall. The ads are too pervasive popping up after each completed level and too many of them have no X to close but takes you straight to playstore install page for whatever app is advertised. You can't back out and return to this game, you have to close it entirely and relaunch runefall in order to play one more level then repeat the process again.

Great mix of match-3 game, exploration and upgrading system. The characters have great voice acting and personalities make them likeable. Not too many ads to make them annoying

Wish that I could give you 10 stars. I have been playing this game since before you took it over several years ago and it is my favorite game of all time. I have completed over 1,314 levels and really appreciate the new, more complicated levels. Also, your seasonal updates are really cute. Keep up the great work.

I really like this game! It has a genuine story line, interesting (and funny) characters, and great graphics. While the game play is easy, it's not simple. I have one suggestion: please change the text boxes so they stay visible until clicked. For me, the conversations stay up too long, while the messages and hints during the rune collection disappear too quickly. There are some features that I missed for quite a while because I never saw the announcement. Thanks! Good job!

It's a really fun and challenging game. I can spend hours playing this without getting bored. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because of the moves/time limit. It's ALWAYS too low. I have to watch 5 ads or more every level just to get enough moves to finish. Sure, I could just do the bare minimum (get the runes and nothing else) and finish within the limit, but I'm a perfectionist. I like finishing all the sidequests too. So it would be nice to have a no-limit mode option.

I posted a fantastic review yesterday and it's gone now. Oh, well! This is not your average match-3 game, and you'll see for yourself if you try it! It's challenging on every turn. One great feature is the separate volume controls for FX, music and voice. The voiceovers are all exquisitely done and lend themselves to making a great story! Well done, PlAycademy, for making such a great game! One feature I wish for is the ability to pan and zoom the village and its buildings.

Great game for a relaxing hour. The only gripe I have is when I run out of moves and the box for options pops up and my finger is usually right under the reset. It's very frustrating when I'm almost done and have to start over which has happened more than I want to admit... How about adding "are you sure" button. Other than that it's my favorite game right now

This is my 3rd time to start over from the beginning. When I changed phones, my progress wasn't saved. The 1st time, the kind folks at Tamalaki tried to get my progress back, but try as they might, even writing special code for me, it was never recovered. I love the game, so I just started over. It was fun, remembering the storyline, upgrades, etc, & I was actually glad to enjoy it all again. Now I changed phones again-- no progress. I didn't even bother Tamalaki, just started over again. ❤️

Fun game, especially once you figure out all the intricacies to fulfilling all of the objectives. (Had to Google how to find the Resource Veins, which should have been under the game Help section). No energy to wait to refill, but there are a limited number of moves which can be topped up. And the little puzzles are somewhat challenging, but mostly patience. Bonus is there are no ads, unless you want to watch them for extra moves, etc. Definitely recommend!

Love it!! It's not the usual somewhat boring match three games. It's a little confusing the instructions are. I suggest that you darken the text when you are looking at what you need to complete a task under the icon..little trouble reading it. It would be helpful if you added a way to be re shown certain tasks and some actions like how they mention making a chain match like the one shown no idea where that is..

I am on level 49! I enjoyed working my way up each level, but once I got to this level things have changed. I have cleared off all the blocks and tiles. On the lower level you got items that helped you move along on the levels. This level I got nothing, so I can't advance to finish the level. I am basically spinning my wheels getting no where. I am going to use up my jewels and delete this game. It has been one of the few games I have enjoyed over the years. I wished it could have continued.

This game actually puts your thinker to the test. Super fun and fanciful. So the story line is told like a bed time story, with only the voice of the narrator. The town map is upgraded as you collect materials. The match puzzles are great. There is a move counter. So far I have not had to pay real money to progress. There are mini puzzle games that are quite challenging.

I enjoyed it until I got into it and the levels started leaving me frustrated. I don't game to get frustrated...defeats the purpose. Trying too hard to make this a skill game when it's fine as it is at the start. Also, it wouldn't hurt to make the story/town more interactive. There is no choices for personalizing the town. All quests are gathering quests and predetermined. The story is like a book... nothing to do but turn the page. More options for making the game unique.

To expand on the 1st question under tell us more (optional), the game isn't meant to be a guessing game, but it does require some guessing because the maps don't show all the details of the level. I tried this game because I found the PC version of it to be really good. The PC version's relaxed mode has no time limit AND no limited moves. This one has limited moves, but it does give option to watch ad for more moves. Nice game.

I like the game but the tutorial does not tell you all you need to fulfill quest. Just wanted you to know I really like the idea for a treasure hunt type game but wish I could take a more relaxed version so I could explore everywhere on the map and find all the objects. thanks for listening.I like the new choices now for game play. But the last time I played on move number mode it froze up and I couldn't get a renewal amount of plays like the last several times.Hope it was just a good up.

The game was really fun. However the tutorial that kept forcing you to click a button and not allowing you to move on unless you did was annoying. The thing that finally made me uninstall was that I kept getting yanked around the level every time I found an obstacle. If I have to use my limited moves to navigate and I get a bonus for clearing every tile then forcing me to use those moves to get back to a spot I was working on is not OK. Fix the issue and I will add four stars.

Early days. A quirky take on match 3, a story to follow and quests to fulfill. Not your usual matching game. I liked it initially but am finding it a bit repetitive, my main reason for 3*. Each level takes quite a while. The story is captivating but each snippet is short so I can imagine the tale will take a long time telling. I would like an RPG element with some choices perhaps. Your journey in the game is predetermined. I like that you can watch ads to increase moves.

This is a great matching game. The story has its humour and keeps it short and sweet each break between levels. The visuals are very nice. I like the way the play area moves depending on your move direction. A mini map available for you helps to 100% complete the levels. All in all this is a wonderful game and definitely worth having a go.

Could be good, but items too small for me. Maps should be smaller so items could be larger on a tablet. I can barely see my inventory items. Game help doesn't tell you how to play, so you are figuring out a lot as you go along. Graphics are nice but it's a game of timing to finish the map finding things before time runs out. I hate timers.

I am really wanting to like this game, but clicking on the map or eyeball gets me stuck with no way back. After uninstalling because I got stuck in the map view, I ignored suggestions to view the map, which meant the dialogue box stayed open but did not impede my ability to play. Now, it's the eyeball that has me stuck in a screen with a rope bridge and no way to get back to the play. I didn't want or need to click on the eyeball but I couldn't continue the play. I have a complaint. The window that comes down when you run out of moves comes down so quickly, usually in mid-tap, that I often end up tapping the option I don't want. PLEASE change it so it offers a second window to CONFIRM the option you chose. Also some of the ads won't X out. They take you to the store time and time again. PLESSE GIVE OPTION TO BUY AD FREE. Aside from these problems I really enjoy your game.

Good game. I'm really enjoying the explore mechanic of this match-3. Changes it up a bit. Nice story. Calming game. I seem to notice that I dont aleays get a match 4 or 5 bonus in a cascade once in a while. It also wouldnt let me use the raft or uncover items in the sparkled areas on Level 4 (first level to need raft). Even with a few weirdness issues, I'm going to keep playing and look forward to updates. I would recommend this game to any match-3 fans. Well done.
