The application will work over 3G or Wi-Fi although we recommend a Wi-Fi connection for the best experience. In order to use the App you must have an active RuneScape account so that you are able to login and access your character’s details. To access the Grand Exchange feature you will also need to be using the RuneScape Authenticator ( http://www.RuneScape.com/authenticator.ws ).

Running on One plus 3, android 8.0.0, oxygen 5.0.8. App was working fine until most recent update. Now it sits on the initial loading screen indefinitely, though notifications are working. Tried reinstalling, rebooting phone, and made sure I had a working internet and data connection. Will change rating if issue is fixed.
Love the app, and the convenience. Recently tho, (I noticed after a small glitch while entering my bank pin) my current bank does not load all the items in each tab. It loads the "first group" and nothing else. I uninstalled the app and cleared the cashe from my phone twicenow with no progress to a solution. Will continue to try things out. Thank you
Was a great way to access GE, character stats and inventory remotely, but recently has started refusing to load in saying remote server log-in failed, I have a feeling its because of the rise of the two mobile versions of the full game, however, with RS3 still being in early access(which it's actually going great, keep it up) and OSRS being fully available on mobile, I reckon they've discontinued this app, but I wish it'd be brought back while the RS3 testing is still underway.
Even though I absolutely love, there's room for improvement (hence 4 stars). I find it buggy sometimes after opening the bank and then going back to menu (right side of the screen shows bits of the bank interface).
A good utility app, particularly in accessing the GE, checking the prices and looking at your bank for me in particular. However, although it does make sense, I really dislike how you can't access the app whilst playing the game, I'd love to access the GE and my bank whilst in a remote area in the game, but I can't. Otherwise, great app.
good app but i would like some changes to make this app great. 1 would be when u search something on g.e have more things allowed on the screen or add like a "see more results" button when u get to the bottom. the second thing would be have a notification on and off switch. sometimes i would like to know when my items are finished selling or buying in the g.e. will give 5 star rating if these changes are made.
So I used this app with no issues for an age now it won't let me login. My login. Info never changed. Right pain but found another app that does the same plus osrs so won't be returning if you ever fix it. Looks to have issues with 2 step verification, and client tokens. Did this even get API tested after the last update? Shame as was a good app
Exactly what I've been looking for to keep trading whilst away from my computer. All this needs is an easier login method (e.g. fingerprint), or at least keeping you logged in. Having to type out username and password every time is very frustrating
Good handy app to have but it no longer works on my galaxy s9. I have done all of the updates. I have also uninstalled and then installed again and it still doesnt work. It keeps saying unable to contact server, please try again. It says this over and over after tapping retry
I love it but the new update will not let it load. The App opens to the load screen and will just spin for like 10 mins and it still won't be on the login screen. And yes I have Android 7.0 so it can t be that.
I installed this app and followed all the instructions however, when I log in, It won't connect with my account like it is suppose to and won't show any info about my account other than my character name and that's it. I tried to reinstall and reconnect it but it still doesnt connect to my account completely
Used to love this app. Now it doesn't even work for me sadly... I've updated my brand new phone to the latest update even. But every time I click on the app and it loads, it'll just say "Failed to contact remote server. Hit OK to retry." Still never loads no matter what I do.
Was a good app, such a shame they axed it for it being "too time consuming to upkeep". Would have been the decent thing to do to let people know about the closing of the app here on the Play Store as they did on their main website; also to waiting to close down Companion only after RS mobile went to open beta. One annoyance with the app though was that it only allowed you to see the first 48 items in a bank tab, with no way to see any beyond.
App used to allow you to view all items in bank. Can only see the first 48 items in each tab now. Was great for selling junk while you couldn't play on PC. At least you were able to sell off some stuff while on holiday. Pretty useless now.
The idea and functionality is fantastic, not to mention it's super useful for economic reasons on rs3, but it needs an update maybe with some smoother navigation , a swipe to change tabs and an item display update? Jagex pls help
great app especially for flipping on the ge. sometimes it has problems but nothing too serious in the end! Highly recommend this to anyone who can't play at home for too long or who wants to check up on buying and selling items on the ge
I'm just leaving this as a post for other people who vote 1 star saying the app no longer works. Jagex recently made a blog post saying that they are discontinuing support for this app, so that's why it doesn't work anymore. Unfortunate because I used this pretty frequently, but not supported anymore. Just taking space on your device.
I wish there were a few updates and this app would stay. The is getting removed and shut down in about a week, so I hope there is a good alternate solution for the mobile bank/GE. those are the best parts. Thank you for having the app up at least. wish it could stay but I understand..
Same problem as everyone else. App no longer works and is stuck on the loading screen. I get notifications of sold items but unable to log in and actually use this app. Bummer.
wave: Rune-Apps! Get your Companion app! Last day before it's gone! Really like this app, sad to see it go. It was nice being able to buy/sell stuff when I had a free minute; then when I got to my computer I could grab what I bought and start skilling. If pulling the dev team helps them release runescape mobile faster then that sort of makes up for listing this app I guess.
This is my updated review. I first created my account back in 2001. I originally gave a bad review based solely off me missing my holiday items I didn't know I had to start back at lvl 3. Anyways just as I remember after they updated to RuneScape 2. Very fun to play and this time I get to relearn everything I once spent hours learning.
I wrote back in may that the app lags a lot and most of the time when selecting an item in bank just freezes. I have new phone and very good internet connection, so are you guys going to look into it?
The tab that tells for your bank, doesn't show your bank. Also, Can't use this app while you play, that's annoying. It logs you out. Fix bank, and let us use the app while playing then this app would be great.
I like this app very much, but recently I have been experiencing a problem with the bank. All pages of the bank display only 24 items, in Wi-Fi or 4G. I believe it to be a problem with the application itself.
I like that I can buy stuff and use GE from my phone, but it only works one time, says there's a server error, and then I have to reinstall it again and again every time and that's just not something I really wanna do... :/
the app doesnt work. it worked for a week and then it stopped working. it came up with an error code not connecting to a server. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it still didnt load.
Overall a great app, however the need for the authenticator app (which causes issues with rs3 mobile on some devices) in order to use grand exchange is rediculous. On top of that, something as simple as VoS notifications still have yet to be implemented. I'll keep my edgy remarks to myself and instead simply say, "Do better jagex."
I've been using this app faithfully for the past 2 years. The G.E. function was extremely useful for cleaning out my bank. However I can no longer use it for that, as it doesn't display my full bank. Please fix this.
Very fun, definitely got me back into old school. If only it had as many plugins as runelite, then it would be perfect.
good companion app for the game, especially for keeping an eye on the Grand Exchange. However it has an annoying feature in that you cannot use the app at the same time as playing the main desktop game!!!?? It logs you out, or throws a mesaage that you are still logged in from a previous session. In order to be a true companion app, Jagex need to allow simultaneous use with the game... Please fix/allow this!
