Ok I'm confused. I downloaded app and was faced immediately with 7 day "free" trial for expensive ongoing payments. I ignored this as I wanted to see what the app was like first. But can I use the app without incurring charge? It is not clear. Whole experience so far ruined.

Whether you are an experienced athlete or entirely new to running (like me) this app is for you. It offers numerous running programs for all levels, workouts for every type of injury and single exercises. All with a neat interface. Video instructions are clear and walk you through the entire drill. Most important, a team of friendly and knowledgeable coaches are available to respond to your individual needs with sound advice and encouragement whenever you need them. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

1. There is only 1 free program - the quick start program, and even in that not all the videos are freely available. It shows a lot of content in the catalog but once the session starts it take you though only a handfull of them. 2. The paid plan is too expensive. 3. You keep asking for the same info again and again. Once on signup, once in the program selector and then again during the quick start program sessions. 4. During the sessions when I fill the survey, the app crashes.

The new app looks really slick and the content is high quality but the functionality is where it's let down. Its really hard to navigate and remember which of the Programs you were doing, the singles need a search function or something so you can search for something specific rather than scroll through everything. I much preferred the functionality of the previous version of the app. The introduction screen that breaks down the session should be able to give you a list of all the exercises and reps that are going to be done rather than having to watch the videos. I do love the Running Experience and have been subscribed for a few years and will continue to, but the app is not providing a lot of value for me at the moment, and hopefully this gets better!

I'm still figuring it all out but I really wish the intervals would ding at the time to.switch what your doing. Ex) if its 5 minutes with 30 sec on and off I wish it would ding at every 30 seconds. And that the voice was human instead of computer animated. Other than that I think it's amazing at teaching you how to run and how to do it without getting hurt.

What a helpful and comprehensive app! All the coaches deliver great content - easy-to-grasp, well thought-out, practical and holistic. Only trouble I had is once I'd signed up to the premium version online, app didn't recognise the change in membership. Could just be a time difference thing but good to know that the change isn't immediate in the app.

Just doesn't work When I click on the earn your miles challenges 'read more' button it just thinks about it and spins around continually. Haven't been able to use it for about a month. Have uninstalled it and reinstalled it three times now and still the same issue. Such a shame as when it was working it seemed like a good app.

The new-style app is so much better than the old, basic one, and has pretty much everything on there! However, maybe there's compatibility issues or something, but I can't get it to remember my progress, even for the duration of a session, so I'm constantly having to search for a start each programme anew and skip through to where I was. Also, it's a bit sudden when going into the actual exercises/runs from video links - maybe a countdown or a pause til you're ready function would be good?

Love the coaching, but to put it nicely - the application is sub-par. Not being able to use this kind of app in the background is quickly becoming a deal-breaker as I'm not able to lock my phone while running. This causes my run to pause intermittently without warning. I've yet to find a solution that would allow me to use this app in a manner that isn't completely frustrating.

Been using the app for a few days and so far really liking it.Several different training plans, lots of videos to watch on all topics and a great community board for support. It would be really awesome if the audio on the runs would still play even if you minimize it, so far i haven't found a way around it and have to make sure its "awake" the whole time. Also I have to log in each time I click on the app, it doesn't remember me.It also doesn't save/pin your training plan, you have to find it.

I'm pretty happy with the app. I've been using the app for about a week and haven't really experienced the complaints listed prior to this comment. The app has structured programs, follow along videos, and LOTS of useful information. My favorites are the total body workout videos, mobility, and strength training. I haven't tried to check if I can run an additional music app in the background but I've been so focused on my form that I don't mind going through my runs and workouts without music.

Very good app. Excellent content regarding all aspects of running and fitness, e.g., nutrition, injury prevention and running technique. User interface is good. Presentation from coaches are very good. Information is spot on. It won't overwhelm the beginner runner or bore the seasoned veteran runner. It's the Goldilocks of running apps!

The Run Experience has the best coaching! i learn something new about structuring my training every time I tune into them. They are the reason I have not seriously injured my ankle despite previous issues. Do note they have very few free features -- they pop up occasionally but are rare. Either be prepared to purchase the subscription or simply follow them on youtube for additional free tips.

awesome running programs for any ability! the injured runner program is also the best I have ever used......way better than youtube videos!

Tried to do this free trial because I'm looking to replace my current running app. Charged me right away won't issue a refund. The actual app only has one or two programs but the rest have additional fees which would be fine but the programs aren't structured in a way that helps lay out a good routine for training you can't even use it in the background while you run😡

does this app still work? ive installed it twice and every time i try to create an account it says an unexpected error occured

Mad. N. Feb 15, 2022

Uninstalled. Use Nike app instead. Very limited free content, expensive monthly member costs with no trial period to test it out first. Only annual members get a trial. They had an option for a trial with discount for membership if you did the first 3 runs in a week. I started it but they changed it and now you get a profile badge 🙄 It was a bait and switch by a subpar app that doesn't even run in the background. There's great alternatives such as the Nike run club app. So keep your badges TRE.

I like the content a lot but the app is rubbish. When I signed up it took about a week to recognize that I was signed up as a premium member. Now I'm almost through the 30 day program, wake up to head out the door for my last long run and it's asking me to join as a premium member and not allowing me to access the day's workout. Absolutely unacceptable for the amount charged. Very dissatisfied and will be moving to another app.

ALE. H. B. Jan 12, 2021

The size of the videos is too heavy. Even with a good internet connection, it takes to long to charge. That ruins the workout. Whet it works, is the best running app I ever used.

Jen. H. Sep 21, 2020

Love the app. Great training videos to use when I'm home but always have problems when using the app outside on a run. Sometimes it stops working or I cannot get past a short run to get to the next part of the training day. Still love it though. Has helped me through injuries.

Moe. M. Oct 15, 2021

I think the app is great, as is the YouTube channel and the training programs. I've used all of them and would highly recommend for runners of all levels. I've been following the knee injury videos lately and they have been extremely helpful.
