Has great stats; monthly and yearly info. It has a nice and clear layout. Dropping 2 stars as it doesn't register as many steps as all the others apps or my health watch, so I kind of have to trust 2 watches and 3 apps over this app. I was testing 3 other apps at the same time to see which one I prefer, and I use a watch simply because I sometimes don't have my phone on me all the time. If anyone knows of a way to alter it so that it correctly registers more of my steps, let me know.
Good app, but: 1) Please add Pro version, without those awful fullscreen intrusive ads! 2) App doesn't sync correctly with Runtastic Pro. I use Runtastic Pro primarily for walking activities and I wanted to add pedometer data to them, which is gathered when Runtastic Pro isn't running. However... my activities in R. Pro didn't sync to Steps. Devs should probably think about improving the overall sync between Runtastic apps, p.ex. with creating a combined data pool visible from every Runtastic app and to which all R. apps can contribute data.
I don’t know how this app should work. It doesn’t have pause, resume botton. The fun fact is it counts even though I'm not moving. I set the function on "phone sensor" even though it's battery consuming and there is no other runtastic app user or wearable tracker but it's count 93 steps. In the mean time I was rasting. And the calorie brun section is pretty confusing.... may be they use total REE, but it shouldn’t be... cause there is no point bruning 603 calories by 90 steps.
Worked great for about a month. Now, it shows calories some days, occasionally I get some steps saved, sleep has only logged 3 or 4 times. It's been the best app I've found but if it won't log steps, I will be looking for an alternative. Shame.
It's not the beloved Pedometer yet it has a ton of extra information views: daily, monthly, and yearly graphs. Progress is monitored and achievements are notified. Extremely practical. Highly recommended!
As of 6/30/20 the app stopped working, showed a message of log-in expired. When I tried to re-login I get the message of "servers down". I contacted their customer service and today I got a reply back. The company is not supporting the app anymore in order to focus their attention on their other more popular apps. This is the email reply I received from their customer service desk "We wanted to let you know that we’ve decided to stop supporting the Steps app..." I'm off to find another step app.
Very good free app if you're looking for a basic phone pedometer. No intrusive ads, upgrade nagging, or restrictions. Has a lot of features I don't use, but perhaps on the future.
Excellent value for money. Using this app with the basic runtastic fitness band. Does everything the more expensive fitness trackers do and accurately interprets the results even without GPS active minutes and distance are surprisingly accurate.
This app has helped me lose 36 lbs ! I have been using it for 6 months straight, every day. It's easy to log my food or make educated guesses . I was not the type of person to stick to things like this but MyFitnessPal has almost every kind of food and drink in their database. After each entry of food it counts down the amount of calories your profile recommend My wonderful nutritionist recommended it and it's changed my life. I was 250 lbs on 1-31-19 and today on July 8th, 2019 I am 214.8 !
Most pedometer apps are working when the app is open in the background. But Runtastic works even it's close. It gets help from Google Maps I think but It's very good... It really works very well.
I was happy with this app but it seems to have stopped working. The last few days I keep getting "servers unavailable " message and haven't been able to download steps etc which is disappointing. I hope this is a temporary problem
disgusting, as a paid premium member the least you should have is an App that works, for those who don't pay for premium I bet get hacked off when it doesn't work like it should so being someone who does pay for it and it doesn't work you can imagine the reason for my review, even before I ended up having to contact them THREE times I'd uninstalled it and reinstalled several number of times, when they did finally respond to my email it was the same reply I will be doing a charge back tomorrow
After testing a few days. The result sync is from Google fit instead of my garmin tracker. Thus no accurate at all cause I don't have my phone all day long. Hope you can revamp it. I'm using runtastic from running and it work perfectly fine with garmin tracker. Thanks.
With 0 mins active and 0 step count the app shows 1929 calories burnt. How is that even possible?? The data shown is not reliable. Wish i could attach the screenshot of the same.
The biggest flaw is it calculates everything including my travel in car or bike, which gives incorrect data. Even if I haven't walked it shows that I have achieved my goal only bcoz of my travels.
Great step tracker! Free version does everything I wanted it to (count steps!) and it does it well. Plus I don't get badgered to upgrade or with any ads. Highly recommend!
The progress doesnt update for friends you've connected with. (The main reason I got the app). And the news feed shows me stuff from 2013 only.
Quality app. Easy to use and very interactive. The way the app is designed, makes the user to be motivated and the exercise plans are easy to follow.
Off late the app suddenly shows login expired. When I try to login, message pops up reading as the servers are currently down, Please try later. This is happening frequently. Please fix this. Otherwise this is the best app I've experienced. This is 4the of the nature and I liked this one the most. Since there is no response from the support team, I'm uninstalling the app. Good bye.
