Great app for planning your rounds, hiit and tabata type programs. The one issue is the terminology for repetitions and sets is inverted. Not a major issue but I would change the term set to 'round' for those running circuit programs . The other is the voice is too quite when you play background music. Thank you, agreed tool overall
I've now been using runtastic for at least 4 years, and feel better placed to review now. It's brilliant. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is a technical hitch. The sound doesn't always sync. Sometimes I start it and I don't hear the voice. I have to stop and start again. Initially I thought it might be my phone but the same thing has happened through 4 phones. Fix this and definitely 5 stars
first of all I'll say that it was nice that it lets you add multiple iterations for one workout but it only allows you to have one timer otherwise you'll have to pay for the rest. when I started using it there's a voice over that tells you that you're moving on to the next app instead of a alarm which was very confusing and I miss the first three iterations because of it so that was really annoying and that's why I'm mainly giving it only two stars.
Worked well. But few niggles would be nice to iron out. For example phone complains this is not updated to be compatible with latest Android. Likely just needs a rebuild. Also the audio cues quieten the music to hear, then don't revert the music to initial levels which is annoying when doing multiple sets. Used to work well without these niggles. Likely just needs to be rebuilt and redeployed.
Timer is good but there is no control of the volume of the voice feedback. The idea of a audible indicates is great - but I don't need to have it blaring out full volume telling everyone within a hundred metres when I have started or rested on my workload! I attempted to set the volume to a lower level - and that seems to work but the thing still blasts out time to start or stop.
Very usefull application. Can serve as a workout companion. I hope this will be considered: 1. I think the "set" and "repetitions" should be interchanged. In the app the set means repititions and the repititions means sets. 2. ability to put label or title for every set. This will serve for us a guide on what workout to do. Thank you!
Keeps malfunctioning and resetting in the middle of my run. Doesn't serm to alert me to when the routine changes (e.g. workout to rest) even though it says I have the sound on full volume. Maybe this is due to me also having music on as well, but I feel I should be able to have both. Will be uninstalling.
after installing this app voices/sounds didn't work i had to restart phone... I paid to set up my own timer, setting is irritating because after every single change app getting out from this mode and you need to go back to settings to made next change... day 2nd use voice doesn't work again!!! i reset my phone but it's still doesn't work i know that is less than pound but i want my money back!!!
I have the paid version. It does everything you might want, is audio and visual, easy to edit and the interface is clean and professional. I have tried many interval timers. Got rid of them once I tried this.
Excellent Interval Timer with good voice directions to guide you through the intervals. The only problem experienced is controlling the volume of the audible directions.
excellent, everything i needed. Only small downside is it counts sets 1 behind, so when yoy are done it says one set remaining until the rest period is over making you think there is one more but then says complete. No prob really once you know.
Flexible. I wish it allowed notification sounds rather than voices, but it's the best I've found for what I want to do -- modified pomodoro technique.
Easy to set up and to modify. Customizable for various exercise routines. Solid app that does what it says. Use almost every day.
I really like this timer. It does exactly what it's supposed to and it's got clear graphics to even have the phone far away and be able to follow from the distance.
App works well. Sometimes the voice gets off sync. It has cut into workout time to say rest. It won't finish words. 3 2 1 rest may not end with rest.
Used to be great. Now if I have music playing, the app freaks out and can't talk to say "rest" or "workout." Useless to me if I have to keep looking at it to know my splits.
Generally, it is working okay. Sometimes, two steps are workout and rest started at the same time, which should be in sequence. There is room for improvement as well.
Excellent app. Really useful & easily adaptable so you can personalise the work & rest rates. Would be good if the tabata timer was FOC, but only a minor point.
Flexible timer options. I like the ability to hear the count down for the last few seconds before start and stop.
The voice guide does not work consistently which makes doing intervals very hard since you cannot always look at the screen to watch the countdown.
It is a simple and easy to use app. Has a few bugs and the timer stops abruptly. But very easy to setup and start using
Perfect duration timer... I have had my eyes on this app since 2011,but since Google didn't accept debit cards I couldn't have it. Now I have it. One of the most useful apps in my app arsenal 😊
for the most quite Good, some anomolies on the speech on start and stop of work and rest intervals. A 20 interval max is a bit lame for the paid version to be honest and also you need to start it after your music as other wise the speech doesn't work at all sometimes... news work for later releases
Simple, but sound simply doesn't work, so useless to me. Switching on/off didn't help as well as changing language.
No updates, overlapping prompts, keeps asking for feedback. I love the idea but since I paid for it some updates to improve the execution would be expected.
Audio won't play loud enough to hear. Can't skip forward or back on intervals like in every other app.
Not enough customisable options. Voice was unbelievably annoying. Deleted after 5 minutes and found much better apps out there.
I hate the voices. Just want an alarm to sound at the beginning and end of intervals. Not an option.
This is the best timer for productivity and more. It enables me to have different setups for different timing needs. There is a prep before an activity, the activity itself, and a cooldown or rest. All of these elements can be controlled individually and set up for multiple sets of the activity. Perfect for workouts or work of any kind. I bet you will like it. One year later, still my favorite.
