The app is fine, though it consumes a fine amount of charging. I hate the feature where you have to select a mode(walk, run, cycle) to measure the distance. If you didnt select the mode, the only coins you'll receive will be for steps and not the distance. For instance i walked 12k steps and received coins for steps but not for the distance i walked.
A 10-mile run was enough to reach the daily points for paid accounts. Now, one must literally run a marathon daily to reach the limit. The rewards store is sad. It's t-shirts, socks and belts (no giftcards). Redeeming points usually require an added cash payment. Sometimes, they offer Paypal but their stock must be really low. I tried one recently. As soon as it appeared, I clicked but it said "Sold Out"...less than 10 seconds later. After almost a year, looks like Runtopia is a waste.
the app worked well for awhile, but with the new updates it's not recognizing any steps or my runs. I'm not sure what the purpose of syncing with another app like garmin connect is if you're not going to actually use that information. update: getting better on being rewarded for steps. walks, runs, and rides still need to be outside, but that's normal for most similar apps.
Hey Developers! The app is great for both running and walking. But, I think it is not working properly with cycling because everytime it shows me 'GPS lost'. I suggest you to link this app with Google fit because in comparison to your app it tells me more accurate distance covered while cycling. I would also like to tell you, that the distance, steps, calories, etc., shown in your app are exactly half of what is shown in Google fit. You need to work more perfectly on your app. All the best!
I love this application! Upon initial installation, the application continuously "forced closed." Through continuous dialogues with the developers, it now works better than advertised. The application and Runtopia S1 are oustandingly efficient, minimalist and user-friendly. Most importantly, the developers are extremely proactive and consumer-oriented. If you value reliabilty over variety, the Runtopia S1 is definitely the fitness watch for you!
It's alright, however irritating as hell when it updates and suddenly your settings are back to what the powers that be want them to be. Yo, powers that be- You want to control things on my phone Pay For It! And btw, thanks for making it vibrate everytime I start and stop workout and no way to make it stop doing so... It's not irritating at all, really, just like I'm not being sarcastic at all😤
This app is good for staying accountable. It's great to get rewarded for doing something I should be doing anyway. Love the app! Edit: After using the app some more, I am getting very frustrated with the fact that the app keeps starting me over on my daily logins. I should be up to a 21 day streak, but the app seems to keep forgetting when I log in. I'm getting very discouraged because it seems like even if I log in every day, I will never reach a 21 day streak if it keeps starting me over.
I would like to see more options such as imperial units and being able to set your run distance and the like. It's not bad for a very simple running app for some things and it is plenty stable, but there are much better free apps out there.
It is a good app, but there are a lot better apps. This doesn't give you challenges or that great of rewards though you have to run a lot to get them. Also, it doesn't give you the option to switch the KG to miles. My app is now messing up, only leaving the daily reward up, so I can't even use it.
App is VERY glitchy. As of right now the app does not calculate average time correctly or distance. The app does not count most steps taken in a day, even when outside and on a run. If you purchase premium membership (i have) and start a training session, the audio coach does not work. Also the training session will most likely not be counted. There are more glitches as well. Staff slow to respond to glitch reports, if they respond at all. Runtopia no good at moment. Stay away. Will review again
I dont know if I just got unlucky, but when I just reached enough points for the phone holder, the next day it went to some other product with much more points needed and I'm just frustrated about it. I reccomend you put out like a shop of like 30 items instead of putting in new items ever once and a while. unless there are more people who reccomend to refresh than this app isnt for me
Another poor running/reward app. You state that your coins can be swapped for cash rewards in your 'SPC' store. Er, no you can't. Currently, there are 2 items in your shop: a Runtopia branded fitness watch/tracker (that costs 1999 coins + $39.99 exc. S&H) and Runtopia premium membership. That's it. Quite laughable really. Uninstalled.
I love this app. I just wish on the novice beginner training program you could switch to 4 days a week instead of 3 and I would like it better if I could choose how many minutes to run starting off. 1 min on 1 min off is too easy for me. I can do 3 minutes on 1 min off right now. I hate I cant skip the 1st few days to get to where I am at now. Please add option!
Well it's a good app for runners as it works as a odometer and speedometer. It motivates us by interacting with other users. We can see their running report and inspire us or others and earn points which i like the most. Thank you.
This app is junk now.. Thinking of unsubscribing from premium.. It's a waste of money.. GPS cuts out all the time.. I do hard & physical construction Labor, & I also regularly do 10km walks. Like today, but it registered only half the walk. The prizes are useless & nobody could ever gain the PayPal vouchers.. It used to be exciting but with GPS always cutting out, tokens disappearing if not claimed by midnight, and the fact all unused tokens disappear every March, it's almost pointless.. 👎
Runtopia is a great app for runners and for those who want to start running. I love this app. You get very supportive followers who will only encourage you to do better. If you want to start running, this is the app for you! Easy to download and super fun. It motivates you to run everyday and you get reward points for running/using the app, etc. I recommend this app!!! Its amazing
Need to press "go" it should count the steps, stops for no reason even multiple times per day and you are not getting any rewards if you don't press go again every time after it stops. I contacted technical support with no answers, will change my review after the bug is fixed
Actually a One star because after the recent update the steps are not being counted and are not rewarded. This is the only reason to give a 1 star to this app. I have contacted to the feedback section in app but there is no proper reply. So i hope this gets fixed soon by an update. I have being facing this problem since a month. Please find a solution for this issue and release a update as soon as possible. But other than this issue the app is fantastic. Rewards should also be added more
Hi.. Recently I took the monthly premium.. Every since then I can hear on the phone am anoying clicking sound when the app is running. The sound is audible in the background even when listening to music I can hear that sound. Please give me a solution Thank you
Cap of 50 points a day, which wouldnt be so bad if they didnt delete your points on March 1st every year. You can pay with your points to increase your cap. At 2349 points a year you'd find it hard to break even unless youre a marathon runner. Casual runners like me however, would only be able to get enough for a few dollars off their overpriced merchandise It also seems the 290 points that took me all year to build have vanished as soon as i made this post...
Something wrong. I walk around 10k to 12k steps daily in exercise. On the and use it. But it does not count properly. It count the steps only when your mobile screen is on. When lite turn off it stop to count.user id 7023038
Originally couldn't log in due to a bug, but it now works, and pretty good at that! I will say, Runtopia is just the import name -- it's actually Codoon from China. This shows a fair bit through the app; some text was obviously translated and the Community looks like something from a Xiaomi app (it's largely scantily clad women and foreign people commenting, "Bien," and "g"). Still, though, you could do a lot worse and I recommend it over all, even if it doesn't have Google Fit support.
Used to love this app but now I've been having trouble since last fall. My step counter stops working, will start again when I reinstall the app, then 2 days later stops again. When it does work I can't collect the reward for doing any of the tasks. Won't allow me to post any of my workouts. Have tried emailing and received no response. Sent a message in app and was told it was being looked at but have heard nothing since and am still having problems. Getting very frustrated.
