RunTroll - GPS running race
Are you tired of running on your own to stay fit? Then go for a run with the Trolls! RunTroll combines running, fitness tracking and gaming by connecting you with other runners from around the world, for a real-time competitive running experience. Run through Trollvania, the fantasy game world, in this real life multiplayer race.
Quickly start a run in just a few taps. Simply choose a difficulty and a distance, and you are ready to go. RunTroll uses the audio system to provide you with a hands-off gaming experience. Once you start a race all information will be given to you through your headphones. While you are running, your personal in-game announcer will update you on the distance, pace of your run, your current place and how the other runners are doing. The announcer lets you know if you overtake someone and who is in the lead. Win TrollCoins by completing races and use them for in-app purchases. Easily see how well you did after you finish a race. Your running statistics are saved in a history view so you can see your progress through the previous runs you have made. Check on other players and their place on the leaderboard.
Play against 1000+ players in scheduled events or join runners from around the world in worldwide virtual marathons. Don’t feel like running with strangers? Just send an invite to your friends and run through Trollvania together.

I love it but it seems just a bit simple. Competition is what motivates many people. If there was a way to compare you're time against the time's of the other user's and have like a top 100 time's or so that resets weekly on some categories like fastest kilometers, most kilometers, and mabe even intrgrate those stats into how fast the trolls run..then I'd vote 6 stars and possibly pay a small fee. Still fun as it is just repetitive
Great and can be much greater RunTroll is a great app and makes running fun again. The competitive edge has me running much faster than I have usually been in a long time.
This app keeps crashing when I try to start a race. I just installed it, so it does not need an update. It's unfortunate.
This app is a great way to get fit. It works offline which is great. I dont know why it only has around 1000 downloads for a free app. Highly recommended.
As a huge fan of jogging, this app really improved my running performances.

Brilliant app. I thought it was a pants idea at first until I beat the trolls and came 1st. I like it.
I hate that such a lovely idea crashes on such a good phone such as note 3 too. Please fix it.
Runtroll is fantastic! It really makes me push myself to win the race against the other player. I actually enjoy running again, thanks Trolls! :)

I would be willing to change my rating but I tried to walk just to see how it works and when I go to start race it crashes and tells me to force stop. The idea behind actually racing a computer is exactly what I was looking for because strava is just too expensive.
