Doesn't work with anything newer than a few years old. Probably due to the last update being years ago. Pair great with an old g7 I've got laying around but it refuses to work with any of my current devices. They really need to update the app or just overhaul the whole thing. EDIT - Just tried to uninstall and reinstall the app to try to get it work one more time and now it won't even install. Perfect.
This app and the thermostat it controls are so disappointing. Never seen a more obtuse UI. Can only change, not view current mode settings. Auto function is totally unintuitive (heat isn't activated in auto, which is lame). T-stat should have manual modes to activate each function and ONE auto mode for which I can set a heat temp, low cool temp, and high cool temp. So close, yet so far!
Works well but the user interface needs a total overhaul. The temp adjustment should have a nice digital readout in the app, along with up and down arrows instead of the crazy scrolling list that has smallish numbers on it. Function / mode setting needs redesigned as well, so there isn't an equally difficult to use scrolling list.
When connected it works as expected. However it needs to be re paired with my phone multiple times as it keeps losing connection. This happens while I am sitting 2 feet from the thermostat. I think some updates are needed as others are also mentioning the less than robust pairing. Galaxy S10+
Instructions and reality for this app got misplaced to different planets. Extremely frustrating. My first thought for a remidy was to drive to repair facility and have it removed. It is worthless if I can't get it to work. The ceiling controls are also worthless unless you have good eyes on top of your head.
Installed the new thermostat and it checked out fine. Installed the RV Climate App, that took several minutes to install and setup correctly. Everything seems to be working correctly, since the App is using Bluetooth you must be less than 25 feet from the thermostat for it to work properly.
Loses connection to thermostat whenever you leave range and have to go through the learning process whenever you want to use it again. Works ok when connected to your phone. App creators don't ever update this. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!
It works with my husband's Galaxy S8+ however I can't get it to pair with my Galaxy S10+. On his phone it sometimes has a delay updating the status/settings. The interface could be worked a little better but it is functional.
Hard to setup and use. Wish it worked better since the settings directly on the unit are in a little screen that is 1 inch by 2 inches (seriously). Upside down that's even harder to read. 😒
Keeps loosing connection, then it will not connect again. This also doesn't work with Canadian wifi.. it just sits idol with two dash lines like it's connected...but never displays a temp so I can not adjust it with the app.. Very frustrating for the money I paid to have this option...
Keeps prompting to connect when it does and you go to set temperature the app closes and you start all over again. Is there a better app out there if your lucky enough to connect the next day you have to go through it all again

One trick to pair your phone: Make sure the unit has power, but is NOT running. *Then* press the up & down arrow buttons together on the unit for 5sec until the screen lights up with a passcode. Then select "Pair Thermostat" from the app. The AC screen will flash a 6-digit code, 2 numbers at a time. There's a slight pause after the last pair, and it starts to redisplay the passcode again. Enter the 6-sigit passcode into your phone/tablet, at it should pair. Hopefully this saved someone time.
DON'T UPGRADE YOUR PHONE if you want to continue using this app. Just upgraded my phone to a Samsung S20+ and have been frustrated trying to pair to thermostat ever since. Have reached out to the manufacturer twice and have gotten absolutely no response or help. Aaaaaarrrrrgggggg!!!
So tired of large companies entering the smart device world only to drop the ball on application! This technology has been around for ages yet they can't seem to get it to function properly! This app constantly loses connection. Totally useless!!!
The Bluetooth unit itself is garbage plus the app is garbage. You you people from Coleman ought to be damn ashamed of yourself for putting out such garbage. I paid $300 for this Bluetooth unit and it is nothing more than cheap junk! How about you update your app too it's only been like 2 or 3 years
App, disconnects and will not save or pair again. Have to Uninstall and reinstall to try to get it to pair. Still won't pair! No one at Coleman will help!!
Kept trying to pair with seemingly no luck. Then went to the second screen and it was paired all along.
App does not allow me to reregister a thermostat when the I'D was accesently put in wrong. You can delete the thermostat but when you re add it it does not ask for the I'D
Completely worthless because it doesn't stay connected. Only reason I upgraded my perfectly good thermostat.
It seems to have to pair over and over randomly should add wifi you'd sell a ton more of you could use with Alexa e tc.
Tried to use it on a Coleman Mach. Just keeps failing. Have to try and do it manually. What a pain.
The app will not stay bluetoothed to the thermostat, the only was I can get it connected again is to restart my phone.
Same as everyone else, stops working all the time, requiring removal and re-pairing.
Disconnects from thermostat and repeatedly closes. Just about worthless app using Samsung S21 ultra.
Thermostat constantly needs to be removed and readded to my Galaxy A70 to connect making the thermostat purchase completely pointless.
Absolutely horrible app from AirExcel to run a $1200 air conditioner.

More annoying than useful. Frequently disconnects and constantly prompting pairing request when paired. Does not update current temp reliably (a communication issue?). Sometimes it works and displays temp and allows cooling/heat setting. Seems the simple functionality required should be fool-proof. And I don't know if the problem is the app or the hardware/software in the AC. To Coleman-Mach, please fix these problems. Would be convenient, simple to use app if everything worked as intended.
