RVC Pet Epilepsy Tracker

The Royal Veterinary College’s free pet epilepsy tracker app is a new and interactive way to manage your pet’s epilepsy. Key features include:

• Seizure log: allowing you to record the details of your pet’s seizures, including what they look like, what happens during and after them, and how often they have them

• Medication log: allowing you to record details of all of your pet’s medications, their doses and how often they should be given

• Medication reminders: allowing you to set up a reminder alarm for when you should give your pet their medication, allowing for separate alarms for each medication prescribed

• My Pet: allowing you to record your pet’s details, including information about their epilepsy diagnosis and tests carried out, a notes function to record any questions you want to ask your vet, and a contacts log to save details of relevant professionals to have quick access to

• Export function: allowing you to package and send your pet’s seizure diary, medication diary and medical history by email to your vet or any other email account

• Sharing function: for you to anonymously share your pet’s medical history, seizure and medication diaries with the RVC to contribute to future research into canine epilepsy

• Educational material: a wealth of information is included in the app, from the basics of what epilepsy is, how it is diagnosed and identifying different seizure types, to practical advice on what to do when a seizure strikes and good medication practice. Free, no subscription fees.

Every effort is made to ensure that all information is correct within the app. Please note that information is intended primarily for a UK audience and may change after publishing of the app. This information is not a substitute for advice from your own vets. Truthfully, I can tell this app is exactly what I need, but the dimensions for the app don't suit my Android phone. If I carefully tap around the edges, I can get to additional menus (and the elusive "new" button, I assume), but I don't have the time for that level of guesswork. I'd be happy to change my review if a properly formatted version becomes available, but it is currently unusable for some screens - mine included.

Overall, very useful app to log seizures, weight, meds, etc. But the app has a few glitches of the layout/ set up where you can't see the save button, or you can't see what you're typing when the keyboard is open. If they fixed that, it'd be great

App is useful but could use some improvements. -When entering text in note field view can be blocked by keyboard not allowing for easy review. -bottom tray incons disappear when in seizure tracker causing the possibility of miss click -seizure length of time is either hours or minutes. Seizures lasting less then a minute are not able to be put in accurately. Suggest switching to allow manual time entry in hh:mm:ss -can back out of seizure log and lose all info already inputed without warning

My phone is always close by so access to this app is always there to record all my girls Epi fits while they are fresh in my mind. Keeping a record gives me an overall view of her fits, so I can discuss with the vet. This was working well until an update wiped all the data. No use to me if this happens. Pity.

Lost all info of previous seizures when installed on new device despite using my email and password correctly. Recreated my acct with same info - no saved data. Tried to make a new entry for seizure that occurred tonight and data did not save. Uninstalled. I'll just use the notepad on my phone.

Great app, room for all necessary information except for duration of seizure. Who needs hrs + minutes but no option for seconds? Also the overall layout /usability could definitely use some fine tuning. Also note, it says pet epilepsy tracker. I'm using it for my cat, so would be nicer if it didn't keep saying "your dog" :)

Just tried to log in to app and it won't open, I've lost all data for my dog's previous seizures, luckily I've also recorded the dates on calendar but don't have all other info eg timings, symptoms for each. This app is recommended by kennel club! Disappointed and upset!

The app has just updated and I have lost all my seizure data I had. Tried to log in ( can't remember my password) it asked me to register again said email already exists, I know it's mine. Even with new password all data isn't there.

This app is great. It has seizure and medicine logs. Hey Dev, when I tried to log a seizure on June 1, 2019, I recieve this error: "date is invalid." Update: still can't fix date issue. Feature request: allow more than one dog; only one dog per app means we need one phone with app downloaded per epileptic dog.

App updated today and lost 3 months worth of my pet's data! I was using this as recommended by Langford Small pet hospital Neurologist and now I have nothing! No information on fits, meds anything that I was supposed to be keeping for my dogs next appointment. When I first started using the app it said all my info would be securely stored via their cloud but it seems that that is rubbish!

I was loving this app until they updated it and I had to register again and lost all of my dog's seizure log. I am not pleased by this at all. The app said if you upgraded to register again and your data would be restored but it wasn't.

App crashed and won't load, keeps telling me I don't have internet when I clearly do (as I'm leaving this review). Going to lose a lot of valuable information about my dog's seizure activity over the past few months now.

The date and day of the week don't match up. Days seizure free aren't accurate anymore either. Could be great, wish someone would update and or fix this app. A lot of people rely on it for their babies

MAKE SURE YOU KEEP ANOTHER RECORD OF SEIZURES. NO HELP FROM APP PROVIDER. Not working. Does not keep up to date on different devices. Important information not accessible for visits to vets. Very disappointed as this is the only place I was keeping a RECORD.

This is a great app and very handy as well my dog has epilepsy and when I showed my vet she was stunned by all the info it contained and it helped her understand what happened when it happened. I dont normally review stuff but this app makes me want to it helped out so much. I even recommended it to a friend that was having the same issues with his dog. Now he uses it and shares it with others as well ***** a great handy app

Detailed and useful, until the app crashed and refused to restart, displaying and endless spinner and not responsive to reboot or reinstall attempts, locking away all my data in the process. Do not use.

Not the first option to use, it does not provide any statistics and it only allows to export a pdf document. In my opinion, there is no utility on this app if does not provide any analytics

I couldn't save any of the seizure events I entered in. I could create new, but never save anything. So if I navigated away and then returned, everything was gone. No saved history.

Downloaded and launched app. No way of getting out of the app. Restarted phone and uninstalled app. Totally useless.

It keeps saying to begin using tap "new" in the top right. There is no "new" button anywhere.
