Just gets progressively worse! I've used this app for several years and it's now almost useless. The only thing they have improved is the address to the land of unintended consequences!
This app runs slow, or that is, seems to react slowly to taps, frustrating. The email notification system by default overwhelms my inbox and forces me to wander through a terribly long list of notification check boxes, making it nearly impossible to figure out which box does what. If you were to post a reply to someone's post, you can expect to get hundreds of emails from everyone else's comment and like. Also, while I appreciate the app is free, there are far too many in-app ads and sponsored this-n-that. Overall, this app is no different than Facebook, just more slow and more buggy.
Great idea, but the app generates way too many messages. Also, there is a poorly designed security system. I had uninstalled the app some time ago, and now tried to register but it said that my email was already registered. Ok... So I tried to log in but it did not recognize my credentials. Ok, so I tried to use the "Lost password" link but it says that my account is inactive or has been deactivated by the Admin. So, absolutely no way to get in to use the system again! And no obvious help.
First, I love RVillage! We have met many friends thru this program and we appreciate the developers. The reason for the 2 stars is that I find the app quite cumbersome to use. There are too many steps to get from one point to another. It could be simplified if it worked more like a text app with an icon on the desk top that alerts us that we have a message rather than going thru fb. Once I am in the site, it is sometimes difficult to find a message I am looking for. And now, no more room here....
Not working on Galaxy Tab S3 with up-to-date OS. Window is completely blank. Tried to see if only problematic in landscape by opening with tablet in portrait mode, but the (still blank) app opens in landscape nonetheless. The May, 2019 update yields no improvement. I have uninstalled, rebooted, and reinstalled. OS is up-to-date. Stll completely unusable on Galaxy Tab S3. Not sure wht someone's commenting to try opening it in landscape mode, as I've already indicated it doesn't work either way.
flooding with emails!! I downloaded this app to try it out, although it looks like a good idea, I'm hating it more each day. they flood you with emails, then to unsubscribe you need to log in and uncheck all emails you don't want to get, and after unchecking all, I still receive emails. one email telling me to go to the "how to" to find out how to stop this spamming. Annoying!!!
The most buggy and useless app youll ever install. Too many serious glitches to mention. Information on people, groups and where they are cannot be trusted. Every screen turns on notifications unless you uncheck a box. If you forget to uncheck the box, notifications are turned on again. ...
When i start the app in portrait mode on my Samsung Galaxy Tab A, it just displays a blank screen in landscape mode. When I try starting in landscape mode, as suggested by others, it displays properly, but won't let me log in. I enter my login info, press enter, and the fields just get emptied, but nothing else happens. {I figured out what was happening. When i attempt to look in to the website it tells me, "Member of this email address is taking a break from RVillage right now." ????
Great app and customer service. If you are having problems with this app not loading and getting stuck in landscape mode with a blank screen. Close the app, rotate your device into landscape mode and then open the app this worked for me.
very unwieldy. takes forever to load a page. once you leave a page you can't easily find it again. when looking at campgrounds and after getting details of kne and I go back, I have to put in all the destination info and search again. terrible design
I love this app! Everyone that I've interacted with has been great. Very friendly and helpful group. There's lots of different groups here so there really is a group for everyone. Everything from things needed to RV to groups for different manufacturers. They're also having virtual get togethers while we're all quarantined.
Error 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable is all I get when I open it. I want to like it, please help! Problem solved. I had to re-install app. I do like this app a lot! But it's kind of slow and convoluted. That being said, it is still better than anything else out there. Thanks to customer support for helping resolve my problem.
App will no longer load I have been a member for more than 5 years. It has been slowing down over time. Now it won't load at all. Very disappointed with the support. I know it's not my internet speed or device as they have both been upgraded. What gives?
This app runs as if it's written on an ancient defunct platform. Instead of writing it new, to run on today's devices, it seems as if they just keep patching it to try to get it to run right. Frustrating.
Ok app, needs to be usable in both landscape and portrait modes. I can only use it in landscape, so reverted to the web app.
Won't load, just white screen. Clearing cache and the other nonsense recommended doesn't fix the problem. The website is very slow, sounds like bad coding all around.
Very slow loading, can't use back key. And don't say my internet is slow, my 5G is super fast and other apps do NOT have this problem being slow
Please stop making excuses such as a slow internet connection for what is really a very poorly written User Interface that results in a unsatisfactory user experience. The technology exists to solve these issues. Your lack of attention to these problems is causing unnecessary frustration for your users!
I haven't been able to use the app due to Samsung selling phones knowingly with defective motherboards. When I was able to use it I found it helpful.
Quit working had to uninstall and reinstall. Hppefully it keeps working now. Otherwise great app. Still isn't working. Reset my phone reinstalled app and all i get is a blank white page.
Does not seem to work on a fire 8 gen 2018. Play Store installed..Orbot installed vpn mode or no vpn mode. App installs and starts ok. What happens is that app starts then capcha entered and continues to ask questions forever. This renders app worthless. Works on other non fire devices.
The site is VERY slow. When trying to post a photograph, you have to go through the "the front door" of the site. Just because it says"upload" doesn't mean it's going to.
Site is very nice, people involved are respectful. Not good with loading up pictures or even looking at others pictures if the load several.
Not able to login. I signed up via Facebook but not able to login via Facebook with the app.
It is awesome, we connect with friends and make new ones, I can choose whom to be friends with and RVillage never oversteps my boundaries, there are a lot of people that have wisdom and we can learn things we need to know
Very slow hope update gets things moving. New fixes sure does speed things up. Great
The app never was incredibly user friendly. Now it is pretty much useless. It should not be difficult to search for friends and campgrounds or check in at a campground but it is. When I click on Nearby I get a 404 page not found.
