This is a good app but needs improvements, there is need for an inclusion of satellite map (hybrid to be specific) plus other things that the ios version provides...
This is a cutdown version of OZRunways for the same price with no explanation as to why it's not fully featured. The documentation refers to iOS and features that aren't included in the Android version. My Android device has 8+ hours of battery life and never shuts down due to heat (unlike iPads), so the hardware is ideal for pilots but the software hasn't lived up to expectations. However, RWY is stable and works reliably. Will you ever add the additional features to bring it up to the capability of the iOS version?
Android version is severely limited. Can't even choose units from knots to mph. No weather integration, very little in the way of config. Airfield search is not very accurate despite filtering for my country. "easier" to find it on the map and click direct to....Perhaps I'll look again when it's close to the Apple version. Provided they allow a trial again...at this point not worth the money..
Realy nice app! Very useful for planning and flying
A great application for Apple devices but a very much reduced program for any android device. The android program is very limited in the available selections for different features. You pay the same subscription as the Apple application but only get half the information. Repeated requests to management have failed to bring this program up to the same standard as the Apple option. Very disappointing.
Used RWY for a while now and it's encouraging to see some really good updates starting to come through. With the android EFB market becoming increasingly competitive and the new Samsung tablets being released, the timing is perfect. I look forward to using RWY as my primary EFB and seeing these features added from the IOS version. - Map view options (cursor, LSALT boundaries) - Satellite/street charts (google maps) - Ability to add PDFs to the documents tab - Brightness slider
Easy to use for navigation. Quick access to all aviation information, charts, aerodrome maps and info and weather. Also very easy to file a plan. Improvements: nice to get weather calculations in the flight plan to be automatic when you have altitudes. Also nice to have the same speed/altitude repeating in every row until you change it. Integration of ATSB, SSR data and other users flight dates integration for TCAS type functionality. Glide to nearest field. Keep up for work
On my ipad this is a great app, but on Android some key features are missing even area frequencies are missing. This is described in the website, but if like to see a roadmap closing the gap. When are these useful features being added? That said it is still a good app.
best efb on android! has less features compared to ios version but im not complaining, the app is reliable and gets the job done! in fact i prefer this than other efb on android with loads of rubbish that im not gonna use in flight. i wish you can have the following features on this app 1) terrain 2) pc version for flt planning/briefing that can be sync'd with device offline 3) very simple logbook within app or separate 4) integration with flight sim and thats it! perfect system for me
unable to get Radar data on Android thanks for your help with this issue which is now resolved. I look forward to the Android version having the same quality of features as the Apple version. a scratch pad is a priority I think.
For commercial purposes probably best to use the ipad version, For private use I find RWY perfectly fine though. Some extra flight planning functions would be nice. Would also like a feature where I can add notes/marks or freq change reminders onto the map directly.
good app and whhen lucky to be on a one one presentation staff r very helpful. however, they don't provide a phone or live chat option to assist you with problems. only emails. frustrating.
Basically satisfactory in Android but as I pointed out at Albion Park airshow 4 years, ago the type at the top in android is slightly smaller and slightly finer than ios version with same size screen. I think it is an over site on your part. I would expect it would be easy to fix and would love you to fix that for us old people! The other ios feature I would like is the on route frequency but can live without that. Please somebody have a, look at equivalent size ios & Android and note the type.
Very handy app. And well supported. Don't let the price fool you. It replaces/supplements 10 kilograms of folders and charts. Worth every cent if you fly recreationally.
Please allow syncing (user waypoints) between devices logged into the same account.
There is no note pad feature, and there is no easy way to see the frequencies for different airports from the map view. No way to highlight the ersa either.
Needs to be brought up to the Apple version spec for commercial purposes!
I think that app could be more useful with flight simulator. If that work with x-plane for example will be awesome for us, so try make it please!
Would be nice if it had all the features that the apple users have! Using the excuse that it's Android? AVPLAN is android and outshines RNW by a long shot!
Good on Android, better on Ipad. Minor irritations still evident. Great as backup.
Why android and IOS versions are different? Don't tell me I can use mu subscription for Apple. I do not want Apple. I want my Android version to have the same features. Make it so or reduce the price.
I might have to wait a few years until it compares to the Ozrunways iPad features. Untill then, only worth one star.
Android version is utterly useless from a commercial perspective. Damn shame. It's been how many years?
No where near as good as my ipad, they need to get on with making this android version better may go back to airnav pro
I very rarely give 5*... Even less likely when I pay bfor the app. That dsys it all. Great proffesional app, excelent value, still did not learn to use it all
Great app on Apple, terrible on Google. Nowhere near the amount of features.
Should be updated or discounted for Android-only users considering it lacks so many of the iOS features.
Used trail version and it is pretty good....will it works in INDIA just for basic navigation?
Makes map reading and navigation easy.
Nice app, works flawlessly and the value is really good. Although, It could have TONS of other features to improve navigation planning and situational awareness while in flight. Keep bringing new updates and incrementing it and I'll never stop renewing my subscription!
