Buggy and underdeveloped. Doesn't remember my Lyft trips and can't make reports like shown in the video. By far, the control status is both inconvenient and unnecessary, as the previous version allowed for set and forget. This could easily be replaced by a little coding that would allow you to clock in for business and then calculate miles driven outside of trips like before, by pulling those trips out of their respective APIs rather than forcing us to switch between services all the time.
Was awesome for Months, now utterly broken. since I started Rideshare in November, I've been using this app, and I grew quite fond of it. there is only one other app that even approaches the same functionality oh, and it doesn't track surges or hotspots, which is why I prefer Rydar 2.0 unfortunately, about 2 1/2 to 3 weeks ago, the app began behaving like I did not have an active subscription, which I most certainly did. nothing will fix the issue, developer is not responding. Tis a shame.
I paid for the yearly subscription on the original Rydar, which would automatically sync Uber rides and automatically log trips without passengers. Rydar 2.0 is a complete waste of money. Doesn't sync with Uber account and barely even tracks any trips. Is there any way to get a partial refund? I have zero intention to use, or even keep, this app in its current state.
Hasn't worked a single day of my month subscription. First, I was supposed to get a month for free for signing up for some other service (rydar worked that day). I had to email support who claimed they were looking into it. About a day or two later it hasn't worked since then. I've emailed them three separate times and they just tell me they are already looking into my issue but it's been over a month now and the app still isn't working. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling,etc nothing works.
Doesn't seem to work at all. I attempted to start the 1-week free trial, and it's been "processing" for hours in their system...yet the trial registers just fine in Google Play and I received a receipt to my email for starting the trial and a notification that my card will be charged in 7 days. So the way this is going, the trial period will go by without me having a chance to even check all of the features out. Even outside of the trial, the free version of the app doesn't seem to do anything.
I want to be able to track all of my gigs in one app. There isn't an app out there that makes that claim and works properly as stated. I am really disappointed that this app promises everything that I need, but I cannot even get pass the phone number verification screen. I cannot even log in or sign up. Please fix this app. It's basically the only one of its kind. Tracking ride share and delivery all from one app is exactly what is giggers need.
this app does not work on the galaxy s10. after downloading I input my phone number and it prompted me to enter a code they would text to me. I input the code and then it asked me to input my email to setup an account and it just hangs there. after 10mins I had to close it because it froze up and did not and will not allow to creat an account seem to me it is just being used to harvest email accounts and phone numbers.
Once I entered my verification code, it just buffers endlessly and not getting me to the next steps. I'm using a strong WiFi in my area and it's still doing this. This has to be fix and seeing that I'm not the only one who experience, they would all agree on this.
The app was working good (4-5 stars) up until a few weeks ago when it began asking for a verification code to start app. After getting over a dozen codes sent to me over the past few weeks the app still hangs after entering the code sent to my phone and I still can not use the app. Tried contacting support thru website and email several times but didn't get any response to my mesages.
Worked decent in beta, but now it's getting worse. Advised the developer of an issue where the app HAS to be open to track rides, otherwise if you close the app you get a message that tracking is disabled. Developer replied that I should have High Demand Notifications on, which it is. No way would I pay a subscription in this current state when there are other options that do the same thing.
when I entered my email at set up I put an S instead of an a in the name. didn't catch it until it was set up now I can't go back and change it there is no edit function for the email also after I signed up or a premium trial all of the hot spots disappeared . there is obviously a lot of work and tweaking needed for this app
Tried to set up an account with them and never got past the account creation page where you enter your email. Just kept showing as working but nothing happened. Seems like this app is dead in the water and the app is still hanging around but the actual company is not around anymore behind the app.
Rydar's grown on me. At first out was so confusing. It was tracking my uber trips as personal until i found i had to set the icon in the map to uber. lol. i was hesitant about the hotspots not being a heatmap. but a spot is much more easier to drive to vs a heatmap which has no locations shown. Will give the hotspots a try. If it works I'll give this a 5 star.
it won't even let me create an account to get started. I'm having the same thing happen to me as with everyone else I am put my phone number I get a code I put the code in and a little small little indicator on the bottom continues to spin spin spin and spin. I've done it several times I rebooted the phone I've been uninstalled and reinstalled it nothing works. I hope they get this working sometime soon because I'm tired of waiting. thank goodness I didn't pay for a subscription.
The app texts you a verification code. Once you enter it, the app just sits there thinking about it. Notified support 8 days ago and got a form email that they are aware of it. Nothing has changed. App doesn't work.
Can't login to the app. It asks for a phone number and I'm sent a verification code but it gets stuck submitting endlessly. I tried activating my account with an email but the verification email contains a dead link. Glitches that can hopefully be fixed quickly.
Tried the free trial, app stopped working. Contacted support, gave it a few weeks, uninstalled, the end. Wasted my time, patience, and space on my phone, and since there's no support I guess it's just trash. Don't bother.
Solid app, does tend to freeze if you go more than 200 miles. but if you force close it and open it back up and start your trip again it doesn't lose any of the mileage that's been tracking which is still pretty good
No longer working at all. like many others have said, this app itself to quite nicely at what it did, keeping track of surges. Then all of a sudden it stops. The app asks for my phone number, to give me a verification code, which never logged me in.
There is currently no ability to add car expenses. While you could do it in version 1, you can not do it right now in version 2. It is "coming soon", when ever that is. I'll adjust my review when ever that occurs but as it stands right now, the usefulness to me is minimal.
Great app, non-existent support. Two months of not being able to aign into the app. ailed support two months ago, got a message saying they were working on the problem, meanwhile, two months and two payments later not another word and I still can't log in. I guess I will have to depend on the free app Farrpilot.
I was one of the early BETA testers of this app, right up until I got the impression that my input about how it can be used in the real world was trumped by how the desk-driving developers thought it should be used. Like many drivers work Lyft and Uber simultaneously and regardless of my attempt to steer development in that direction, there is no provision in the app for this. For this reason the app is only effective for drivers logged into one rideshare app at a time. That's just for starters.
Tried several times to link my uber account. Kept giving error and saying "connecting" until I tried again. Never could get the app to work. Finally gave up and uninstalling. Help section was absolutely NO help to any issues, more like an "about" section.
Helps alot in discovering places to go. As a paid subscriber all of a sudden no hot spots and now the app doesn't want to register to my phone. Contacted support, no answer; this is my last option before I cancel the subscription.
had the old app and loved it. I got a new phone and am forced to install rydar 2.0. none of my info Carried over including my subscription, even using the same phone number, email, etc. There is little to no help within the app and absolutely no link to contact customer service. Save your money.
Unable to complete sign up. The app requested I put in my email then it just keeps loading endlessly. Nothing is moving forward. Stucked. I will come back with an update of the app works.
Automatically charged my account without permission. You can just let people know they need to purchase a subscription to keep using it after a trial, and not let them access the app. Doing it the way you are is shady and slimy.
Worked quite well for a number of months then suddenly no hotspots anywhere. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the app won't even let me get past the Verification Code screen. Support is not answering my emails.
worked great for a long time and and then with recent update keeps prompting for email and phone number. it hangs and I never can get the app to run. Several emails to support have gone unanswered so now it is uninstalled.
Worked quite well for a number of months then suddenly no hotspots anywhere. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but the app won't even let me get past the Verification Code screen. Support claims that they will get back to you within 24 hours but I've been waiting for over a week and have sent multiple messages with no reply. I don't believe that the app works anymore and the author should remove this app until it's fixed. And I've been paying the $8.99 every single month, too. Very frustrating
