Rydo - Australia's taxi app

Useless. Quoted a price of $72 for a trip that ended up $150 on the meter. Felt so sorry for the driver (who had to pay Rydo $12 out of the $72) that I gave him a large tip to make up some of the difference). Half way through the app told me that my trip was complete and told the driver that I'd cancelled and not to pick me up. Will uninstall and go back to using Uber.
after a few uses the app is unable to login properly and keeps giving amd error tellylin you to restart. reinstalling it doesnt fix. has a tendency to fail on payment making the driver charge you. but it turns out the payment also went through so you're double charged
Used app first time. As soon as I sat in taxi drive charged my account $52.50 saying once we get to destination I will refund you the rest. He was driving 60 on the highway where it's 100. Then when we arrived to my house it clearly showed $36 for fair. When I asked for a refund in difference in price he said that's for booking fee. This is robbery. If I don't get a refund back I will contact my bank to get a charge back. Will never use this service again!
Horrible app! Followed by horrible customer service from GMY cabs. Me and another person booked a cab near each other 10 mins apart, they only sent one cab and charge my account for both trips. I've called 5 times and everytime someone said we'll look into it and then nothing! I'm still out money from being overcharged but think I'll never get it back
Useless app and useless drivers, pre book a trip and then receive a call from the driver saying that they have another trip and want you to cancel or wait 30 minutes. On one instance I received confirmation that the driver was to arrive in 30 minutes, 10 minutes my pre booked time.
(Seems like previous review has been removed) This is literally the worst app you can use for any car service, customer service is also the WORST i have ever experienced i got double charged and still in a week they havent managed to even make contact with me after multiple phone calls and emails, you get no response from the emails at all i messaged the facebook page and atleast got a reply but still nothing has been sorted, beyond dissapointed with this, dont waste your time with rydo.
I wish I could give 0 stars. 3 cancelled taxis in the morning of my trip. Called the contact number and it was no use. Called the drivers and they gave some excuse and I had to organise my last minute uber .... Almost missed my flight.
I used it once in Sydney last year with no worries but every time oI've tried using it since March 2018 in Melbourne it will let me book and wait but then I kept getting an error message saying that the order could not be completed and necessitating a change of plans. Not good enough!
Don't waste your time with this app. Drivers will still expect payment, despite setting up payment through the app. Despite booking a wagon, they still sent a sedan, wasting our and the drivers time. And no, I'm not contacting your team, sort it out yourself!
I took a Rydo car in the airport arrival taxi queue thinking it is the same as normal taxi. Ended up paying $50 more than it should be. Tried to contact the customer service but no response at all.
Useless..Double charged me, I talked to customer service they said they will look into it. After that I can't even login to my account now. Scam!!!
Dumb app. Give you the option to sign up with a non-Australian number but does not recognize it with a dumb message: whoops, invalid phone number...
Australia's taxi app? Really? Any wonder the taxi drivers are struggling! Couldn't find a taxi in my local area - I live in the middle of the city - and the other App I used finds me a taxi straight away. And at 4am this should be easy... Very disappointed.
I booked, driver got late and I had to cancel, driver still charged me for a full trip to the airport. I filled a claim, twice, still no response. Avoid at all costs. UPDATE: In response to your response, check your emails, I wrote to you twice!
I installed the application and it took $1 out of my account when I joined with no explanation about the charge so I uninstalled the application and currently won't be recommending it. I reinstalled this application and asked for the one dollar to be sent back to my account and the idiotic app said wrong amount entered 3 times. Well you can keep my $1 and I will uninstall and never use your application ever again.
I wanted to give it a try then got a quote for a trip i needed. Another popular app was $59 and Rydo $95 - $105 no thanks im not paying that much more even if it's a Australian based App.
Do not bother! Installed app to book a ride and use a $20 discount code I'd received from an earlier taxi ride. Kept telling me they couldn't find me a driver. So I rang a different taxi company and got a taxi. I was able to pay using a GM cabs machine that Rydo provided, yet the people at Rydo said they had no taxi's in my area with a GM cabs machine. Seriously, what a waste of time!!
Asks me to download the latest app after just downloading the app and it won't work. I have retried downloading and it still give me the same message to update to the latest version. Pity as I would like to be able to book!
Useless. Added my card, went to book a ride and it said my card details were incorrect. Went to check if they were correct, and it said my account was now suspended and the app became unusable. Why? Not happy.
I like the service where it's available (Canberra not so good last time I tried), but the app has stopped working on my phone, which is now listed as an incompatible device (Oppo CHP 1831).
Booked a taxi in the afternoon and they cancel the ride 2 minutes before the time. Asked help to contact center and I'm waiting yet an answer... Very good customer service
I think I have made a mistake by choosing rydo cab for vaccination hub, they charged $6 from app + $10.50 by cab driver after dropping, even they said it is free for vacation center. After enquiry and several follow ups they said it will take 4-5 weeks to refund my money. I called today (after 50 days) to customer support and without any hesitation they were telling similar story, this time 3-4 weeks as it is bank transfer and it is usual process. I can send money to overseas in 1 day.
Tried it to pre-book taxi to airport and driver canceled last minute had to arrange a different way. Worst experience ever
Screen cuts off the prices for fixed fare taxi, have no idea what fixed fare I'm agreeing to..... pointless
Tried to set up, put in pass code but had to go back to put my surname in... then it says i have already entered the passcode and I'm good to go. Try to log in and my account is suspended!
Do not use this service. I prebooked a taxi and when it didn't show I connected the office and they lied and clained the taxy was mins away. When I checked the app it said the driver was on the other side of the city and over 20 mins away. Next thing I receive a text msg saying their is no driver avbl. I called again and they said to call the local taxy number. Absolutely appalling service.
