About Us:
My name is Priya, and I am the co-creator of S'moresUp. It all started with a simple post on the local community.
One year ago, I was going through some hardships in life that had thrown my life and our family routine out of whack. It wasn’t an easy time for any of us. Not knowing what else to do, I asked our local community to recommend a family management app that would help maintain a schedule and bring consistency to our lives. I got a few good recommendations and ended up trying them all.
Unfortunately, each app was only good for one thing – and downloading 10+ apps to manage my household did not make things easier. Checking oodles of apps all day takes up time, and without syncing any of it together, it didn’t solve my parenting problems.
That's when I teamed up with my friend Reeves to hack a system that worked for my family. We talked to other parents, and we iterated on our solution as we got feedback from them. The result is S'moresUp; A modern-tool for modern-day parents!
S'moresUp was created based on my experience and insecurities as a single mom trying to balance my family life and professional life. S'moresUp provides a simple tool that maintains consistency for my kid and keeps it secure to communicate and collaborate among family members.
Sometimes parenting is hard. But you don't have to tackle it alone. Give S'moresUp a try, and you would never want to go back to the old ways.

Key Features:
First of all the essential features of S'moresUp is 100% free. The app considers anyone who is signing up for as a parent. You can invite a partner to manage the family and can add any number of kids to the family. Each person in the family has separate access (pin) to their profile. Kids in the family have a different profile page than their parents.
The app has four primary menu buttons:
1. Home:
Everything that you need to know about what's happening in your family is right here. From home, you can stay in touch with your family members through messages and post. Send them a lovely picture from your workplace or use it as a way to set some ground rules at home.
Home is also the place from where you share things with your connected families and friends safely and securely.
As a parent, you can also engage with other community members and share your thoughts or ideas with them. Be it parenting tips, upcoming events, news, doubts, clarifications, or research information; you have an open space to post them.
2. Chores:
It is an easy way to manage kids’ chores and allowances.
* Setup the recurrence of the chore by selecting Daily, Weekly or Once as you create the chore and assign to your kids.
* Track all your assigned and unassigned chores in “Family Chores" section
* New to chores, "Discover Chores" can help you get started with some favorite chores.
* Automatic reminders sent to your kids for incomplete chores before its due.

I really like this app. I do not have kids. I use it with my SO so we make sure we get chores done and who does what/when... I also like that there's one where we both can do, like feed the cats. Never again will we be fooled by their cute meows, they already eaten!!! I also added to my section personal care stuff so I make sure I do it. Very nice!
Please remove the horrible pin and allow either no pin or biometric. I left this app a year ago and stopped paying because the cost really didn't have that many benefits. I decided to come back and give it another round and still the same features a year later and still no biometric or removal of the pin code. My phone has a lock for a reason I don't need to restrict this app.
Glitchy. It hangs on a "chore optimization" page and won't load. Then it says, "no chores YES NO" and won't close (but there are chores waiting to be checked off). I got the paid app and am disappointed.
Even the most basic features require a subscription. I'm not going to spend money without knowing how it works and if it would work well for my kids (and no trial was offered).
Good design but buggy. Pin code has to be done slowly because the inputs don't always take, kids accounts keep getting cleared from app so I have to reconnect, buttons sometimes unresponsive.
So far this is an amazing system. Kids love it alot, admin team is engaged on recommendations and improvements for the app from its users. Love the customization and ease of use.
So far so good. We use this for the kids' chores, and set up a goal s'mores amount they much achieve each month in order to get their full allowance.
I can't even register because every single user name I try is already taken... I tried at least 12 different names, unless only women who are named Elizabeth and use the Nick name Lizard have downloaded this app, there is no way. I was using so strange and unusual combination, that I have used on apps with 10x the downloads as this one.
Way too heavy and complicated. The UI/UX is all over the place and in need of a simplified revamp. An app about kids chores shouldn't be more complicated than project management software 🤦♂️
Update: Thank you for fixing the bugs. Everything works well now as far as I can tell. I am only giving one star to get creator's attention. I actually really like the concept. When I go to check chore progress for the week, I get the loading circles forever and then it tells me that it took too long to load and that maybe I'm offline. I am online, I checked. I've closed out and reopened, restarted my phone, and I've uninstalled and reinstalled and it keep happening. Can someone help??
Confusing and distracting. I love the idea. It seems like it can be great. Customizable settings for a streamlined experience would help. Rt now, it's a lot to navigate. I wanted an app that my kid could glance at easy. He'd get a notification. Maybe a reminder or 2 to do his chores on time. We don't do monetary rewards (currency conversion). We do screentime. How can I change the reward or turn it off? And all the pictures and colors... I'd like to be able to mute what I don't need or want.
Adorable graphics. Wish there were more, but you can add your own for each chore. I do wish the chores were categorized in some way, rather than all lumped together in one area you have to scroll through. Perhaps folders people could label themselves by area of the house, time of day, etc. Also wish it worked offline and then synced when you hooked back up to wi-fi. Since I don't have wi-fi I'm going to just have them use the app on my phone. They're young so I have to help anyway. Great App!
I like it so far, but I wish each chore had a rotate option, so it will change kids for the same chore after each completion. 1 marked it complete so it auto assigns it to 2 and so on, until it reaches the last kid and then starts back at 1... And I wish it had an alarm feature as well. 6:15 time to take out the trash.... And then they can have until a certain time to mark it complete... With multiple kids, those options would be phenomenal!
I really enjoy this app but I would love a view additions. I need a monthly calendar view, to somehow see how progress by the month. I need to be able to go back to previous days, just in case she or I forget to look at the progress. Speaking of which, if she forgets to enter a chore is completed, both she and I need to be able to go back and enter it. Those are my few gripes and I hope we can add some of these features if not all.
Downloaded and used one day then deleted. The app sent notifications at the strangest times, like 2:00 a.m. My phone was chiming and buzzing like a video game through the night. I turned on do not disturb and silence, but it didn't help. Now, I will spend an exhausted day at work. VERY unhappy with those strange time features. I cannot speak to the functionality as I never got to witness it. Bottom line, don't download it, don't use it, I won't recommend it.
Nice idea but needs more polish. Lots of bugs. Eg. The app crashes when opening the camera for photo proof of a chore being complete, so that feature is a bust. There are also some glitches with the interface. For instance, there is a field to change the number of minutes before a chore is due for reminders, but you can't edit the field. It just causes the screen to close. Lots of little glitches like that make the app fairly unusable. Too bad, because if it worked it would be great.
I like the design of this app for chores. It gives me the option to set chores for both myself and my kids while managing all of us. The interface is nicely put together, it's easy to navigate, and the support team is amazing. My only suggestion is for them to add the option for biweekly and monthly chores. Otherwise, I think this app is far superior compared to other family chore apps.
hi, thank u for making this app. I have search and try a lot of app, and found ONLY this app covers everything that I need to manage my 3 kids routine and chores and reward, and it's just the free version, and no ads at all!! but unfortunately, this app is very laggy, it take around 3 second for the app to respond to every tap or scroll, and sometimes an "unable to connect to server" error occured, so it takes a lot of patience and time. please fix this and I'll give you 5 star.
The app seems quite good initially, but then you discover it has many bugs and strange behaviors. To many things simply not working properly or the way you would expect. Notifications do not seem to work properly or work sporadically. Chores just stay there when completed or come back randomly. UI not intuitive, such as rewards and approvals which took ages to find. The way overdue chores just vanish rather than remind you they are overdue. It needs work.
Doesn't work anymore. Not that it was ever truly working properly. But my kids will do their chores. They will mark it done. I get the notification. But when I go on to check the list, they are marked as incomplete. This app idea is great. But I feel bad for people who pay for this sort of thing and it doesn't work properly. Updated and added 2 stars since they replied to help. I have already moved on to newer apps. But still appreciated.
It's a great app for organizing our family's chores and routine. The developers really seem to want to enhance the app and take feedback from users. It's a little tricky to get started, but it is good overall. My only wish is that the interface could be changed a little based on the user. My older son thinks it looks too 'little kid'.
Really wanted to use it Despite other negative reviews on performance I gave it a shot. From an options standpoint this covered a lot of bases other apps didn't so I woulldnhave paid for premium but if you can't get a family to use it due to performance, nothing else matters. On my Pixel 5a 5g delays between actions and screens were more than noticable. At times I had to hit wait on Android's system prompt trying to kill it assuming it had frozen.
I'm super frustrated with the subscription addition. I've been a user for a long time, but took a break because I couldn't afford to pay the kids an allowance anymore. I'm back in a place where I can, and find that now I have to pay $5/month to use this, unless I want ads. I understand the need to be paid for your work, but a subscription seems excessive. I could've done a lifetime license. I won't pay a monthly fee.
I really love this app, but it keeps crashing on my phone. I'm trying now to uninstall it and reinstall it but I'm not sure if it will change anything. I'd also like to see a desktop version where I can quickly enter chores and update lists. That would make my life so much easier. Update: The app crashes every time I use it on my phone. My boys use it on their tablet with no issues. I still really like the app a lot. I will definitely email and try to help you fix the issue.
