SAE/Inch Thread Size Detail

Displays detailed information on threads for inch/SAE thread sizes according to the ASME B1.1 standard for Unified National Inch Screw Threads. The data in the application are computed from the formulas given in the ASME B1.1 standard, and as a result may be off by .0001" due to rounding used in the standard. So anyone needing more precise data should consult the standard directly. Some other numbers are rounded to less than 1/10000", but this app still displays them to 1/10000". Adhering to the numbers in this app will still be within the standard though. It also shows far more detail than is listed in the tables in the standard, see screenshots to see what information is displayed.
Current version is limited to class 2 threads, class 1 and 3 to come later.

This is a completely free app. Please rate it after trying it out, because it's knowing that people use and enjoy my apps that keeps me going.

This app is a simple regurgitation of a small subset of handbook data, and is too incomplete for it to be of any use to the working machinist. Perhaps it is meant as a guide for hobbyists sorting coffee cans of fasteners in their garage, but it is of little use beyond that. Unfortunately the developer doesn't appear to actually understand what is required to cut a thread, and only lists theoretical min/max values for the major and minor diameters. So I guess this is meant to augment the tables in Machinery's Handbook, but if I have to go to the Handbook for the rest of the data, why bother with this app in the first place? Original review: I was hoping this app would have information for thread cutting - that would make it really handy for machinists who often have to single point threads on a lathe. Unfortunately i don't know if the minor / major diameters given are for full (100%) thread forms or something less (75% would be great). Also, the list doesn't have a lot of common larger threads, at least the ones i have to work with... The 8 pitch series, and 1-3/4-12 come to mind. I would really like to give this app 5 stars if you could just add a little broader data to it.

Bunch of information. It isn't exactly easy for me to read but if I have use down the road for all this app has I may reinstall it.
