Safe Headphones - Hear Background Noises

It does what it says, and very well. I didn't give five stars yet, because sometimes the ambient mic level isn't loud enough to rise above the music. Even with the mic gain up all the way, it's needs more. If that could be increased higher, then I'd give it five stars and buy the forever license.

I was wanting to buy new headphones for the audio passthrough and now I can keep my favorite headphones. I struggle with autism and this lets me focus on my music and still talk to people. This app is a life saver because I was super worried about changing headphones. I subscribed to pro immediately because of how much I love this app!! Thank you so much for creating this app it's great for neurodivergent people like me (You should list it as a feature it would get you a lot more sales 😂🤣)

nice UI and you can change the mic source. please add the feature to record.

Need to experiment more to get the settings right.. I wish it had some kind of presets to be selected.

Two built in microphones are mentioned in the app.What are they for. Please let us know An equaliser is badly needed for this app. Sometimes it stops all of a sudden Noise cancellation is also not effective

It's fantastic I can REALLY hear background noise and it's so much safer ...even at home!

Does as advertised, lets u hear surrounding sounds while listening to music on your headphones/earpiece. There is gain control to regulate amount of background noise you hear which is nice. Only gripe is that the app uses the phone mic as opposed to the Wired/Bluetooth earpiece mic, rendering it useless if i want to be able to hear ambient sound while having my phone in my pocket, when i'm walking around.

nice and crisp surrounding sound, unfortunately delay, when using BT earbuds, is too long. would love to give it another go once earbuds mics can capture ambient sounds and play straight into earbuds' earpiece. ta' , marc

What are the premium features other than removing the ads??? Am I missing something?

The app works fine. It hasn't crashed or froze. The only thing I've found wrong is the mic settings. It says this microphone or that microphone butit still uses all of them on each setting. And also if there is a way to focus the mic to pick up sounds that are away from you, I would do that. Because when you're using the app if you're anywhere within 6 ft. of your phone or tablet all you cam hear is yourself breathing, unless you're listening to music. Sorry if that all sounds kinda harsh.

This app has important uses outside of safety. I play music as a hobby, and it's nice to be able to hear my drumset or saxophone coming from my ears and blended into the music im practicing along with. There is extremely low latency, too small to notice, which extremely important. You can also hear conversations while listening to music or any form of audio. Being able to adjust the volume gain is also extremely helpful, as different situations require different gains. The ads aren't intrusive.

This app works amazingly well. It seriously kills all background noises completely & allows me to hear other sounds. Very impressive. Only downside which is the only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is the fact that you can NOT turn it off at all. Exiting the app won't do it, closing the app won't bit even killing the app. Literally the only way to turn it off is to uninstall it & then I have to reinstall it again when I want to use it again. Please fix this please thank you

I wondered if there was something for this, glad someone made it. There's no permanent way to disable ads, but they're only visible when toggling on and off so it's not a huge deal. It allows you to switch your microphone which is handy. It may be a pain in some situations to place a microphone in a spot where it doesn't get disturbed by being in your pocket or wind blowing by, but that's not the app's fault.

Have only used for a short time but it is performing the task as advertised and doing so better than other apps I've used so far. I haven't really looked into or used any filters (if available) yet but plan to see what (if any) other features are available in the app now and play with whatever features are included to see if it gets any better still. Overall, it's an easy to use, clean sound and user-friendly app.

Good...with wired headphones. With wireless earbuds, generally you will experience an echo...most likely due to the fact that the phone has to send the sound it picked up via the phone mic and retransmit that to the buds. And since bluetooth in its current form wasn't built with this use in mind, latency issues will result. And there's another problem.....not many users are going to be able to find out that this app works way better with wired headphones anyway. Bring back the headphone jack!

It's pretty good, has filtering to remove background hiss, adjusting music volume doesn't effect background listening, it has a separate volume control. I haven't been able to put the background amp sound higher than 1/4 as it's very loud. You would want to hear something along way off, in silence, on full.

Exactly as advertised. Essentially just heard audio from your headphones and plays it into your ear, kind of like some turtle beach microphones. Only bad thing is that there is a delay. I know that isn't a thing that is possible to get rid of, since the phone is delaying it, not the app.

So far, still the best ive come across! Only downside is that it cannot stay on/functioning if it's put in the background or minimized. If it doesn't shut off while in the background, this could simply become the break through! Thank you very much for all the work/effort on creating this helpful app!

Works great for amplifying nearby audio, only downside is that there isn't some kind of eq or built in audio filters to adjust. Then you'd be able filter out the noise and only pickup specific sounds. And yes, I tried adjusting the eq on my phone.... It doesn't change the audio at all, but I'm guessing that's because I need to change the input audio and the phones eq is for changing the output audio.

I like the idea of this app, but the latency is just too high for it to be very useful, and it crashed a half-dozen times while I was trying it out. UPDATE: Latest update seems to have fixed the crashing, and latency appears to be slightly better under Android 9. I'm raising my rating from 2 to 4 stars.

i like the idea of an app amplifying backround noises but theres a thing i have noticed. I've tried different headphones and the problems still consisted. I keep hearing a lot of interference and whenever i start the amplifyer i immidiately get a lot of noise. on the other when listening to music i get a huge quality drop. i checked to see if the headphones are plugged correctly and they are. I hoping to hearing from ya guys

I couldn't get this to work as I expected it to on my Samsung Note 20 5G. Yes, the phone's internal mic works to playback your surroundings through your headphones, but any other mic source is silent. On top of that, once I start playing music, you can't hear what's around you anymore. For me, it kind of defeats the purpose of having this app. I hope this gets resolved.

I was almost disappointed that I couldn't find any app that can produce ambient sound since the one that came with my A7 doesn't work with my ear buds and boom! I found this. This is almost close to the real thing. However a boost to volumes would be nice also, add the Bluetooth microphone options and make the sound match the frequency of it's recoding. Thank you for such amazing app.

By far the most useful app I've ever come across I can hear everything around me as I'm listening to my music and sometimes hear a lot better than my own ears normally hear.
